Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and purchased a washer and dryer. Bought everything they suggested, it was nickel and dimes at it's worst. They charged us for everything after the sale. We had no time to run around and shop. We needed delivery on Wednesday, No problem they said....12-4. We paid someone to hang for 4 hours. No call from them even after we called repeatedly.....finally I got Marvin on the phone......more empty promises. I told him to cancel my order and I will pay more to have good service!!! He promised it would be here at 5:00pm. I raced home from Long Island to meet them here......it's now 6:45 pm and still no delivery. PAY MORE FOR BETTER SERVICE SOMEWHERE ELSE It's 7:15 and nothing!! Fourth of July weekend and my over anxious husband decided this was a good day to go refrigerator shopping. I was not looking forward to this trip but the store was outfitted with plenty of delightful and knowledgeable sales people. I went to PC two days before Father's Day. I was impressed on their selection of grills. I ordered a Weber grill for my husband. The salesmen asked me if it was for Fathers Day. I replied,"yes." He said I can't make any promises, but I'll try my best to get it delivered on Father's Day. I didn't think it would happen. On Father's Day PC Richard delivery man shows up at 7:30am. I was shocked. Later on that day my husband opens his gift, only to find it's the wrong model. I called customer service and spoke to Eddie. Eddie said he would try hard to have the grilled picked up and the right model delivered. A couple of hours later their salesman Nick and Chris showed up from their store on Central Ave. They disassembled the grill to get it in the car and reassembled in in no time. They sent a young man 3 years out of highschool studied electrical training. Not plumbing to put in a new dryer charged an additional $260 to change a valve. We found later there was no hot water because air was in the line stopped the ignition Had to get a plumber said the cost would be better to change the system. They never put anyone on the phone never sent anyone. Terrible terrible people. Will NEVER deal with them again. Be aware they can't be trusted. read more

I've reviewed the Bronx location as I purchase from that location occasionally. However I love this location more. It's more spacious and has a wider selection of items. The staff is just as friendly and helpful. The manager Jeff is one of the reasons why I frequent PC Richard. He's knowledgeable and goes above and beyond for his customers. PC Richard offers competitive pricing for their goods and carry quality brands. This is the worse company. After being given the runaround for two weeks and over three hours on the phone, They finally submitted the paperwork to my management company. On the day they delivered it the drivers walked into my apartment without masks on exposing me to Covid. They then refused to assemble the refrigerator. I got them to drill on the door handles but they refused To take off the industrial plastic protection and to assemble the inside. The store refused to send someone to my apartment to assemble it correctly and they plan to set up a time on Saturday for it to be further assembled. These guys are awesome everytime i go their to buy anything I receive 100 percent customer service. Last year me and my wife went and bought s TV for our house we had just gotten married. Fast forward to the present the Sony TV just stopped working. I bought the warranty on the tv and so I called them up. They came 3 times the first time they thought a piece had become defective ordered they ordered a new one came in the following week and tried to replace the piece and I was told the piece they ordered was defective so they came in a 3rd time and realized the TV screen had a defect. Went into pc Richards ready for war thinking they wouldn't replace the TV me and my wife were out of there with a new 2014 Samsung 55 inch within a half hour all in all i thank God I bought that warranty. Purchased a new television that stopped working about one week later. Called the store and they didn't really care. Still trying to resolve the matter - far too much work and stress to be their customer. Why do I care more about their product than they do? I got hustled! Walmart never looked as good as they do when I compare them to PC Richards UPDATE: PC Richards replaced the unit at no cost. 1 Star for the sales representative 2 stars for the delivery system I just got a chance to write this review. It's overdue- here is my experience: I came shopping for a refrigerator and due to the size and space of my kitchen, there was not many choices. After choosing the perfect size, I found a representative. The representative was okay, but he tried to charge me for delivery and removal of existing refrigerator without letting me know. I noticed that he charged me 50 plus another 50 extra fee when I was going to give him my credit card. I wish he could had let me know about it because I felt he was shady. I told him that Home Depot was free of charge of delivery and removing the appliance. He verified through the HomeDepot website, but he didn't seem to want to waive the fee. I was leaving to go to HomeDepot, he found his manager and waived the 100 dollars fee. I really didn't like to buy it, but he was able to arrange the delivery soon and I really needed it. 1 Star for this shady representative. The delivery system was good as they sent me a link and I was able to track the driver. The driver/delivery called me in the morning to ensure that I could be there from 9-4 and where he can met me. It seems they are very short of staffs as it was ONE person doing the job. It seems it needed two people job by looking at the appliance. The delivery guy seems to be expert, but scratched my floor a little bit. I wish they had 2 people so this incident didn't happen. Wow, the salespeople revealed an embarrassing lack of expertise! The selection is not bad, but each person I spoke to was less qualified than the last. My parents have been shopping here for 30 years, and I recently went into the store to look into several big-ticket items for my aging mother. Nobody knew anything about anything. The A/C guy was confused about A/Cs, the guy who "helped" me pick out a vacuum stood idly by while I figured out how the vacuum worked. (Seriously--they have such a small collection of vacuums, but he had to consult the box for answers, and didn't even seem to care whether he was going to make the sale or not.) When it comes time to buy a fridge, stove, and air conditioner, I will absolutely be looking to take my business elsewhere. read more

Recently bought two items from this store. Pleasant experience. Keith, the salesperson who helped me, is the go to guy. If you're cool with them, they'll always try to work something out so that you will leave happy. It can however be a little hectic and busy at times, and you might have to wait for a salesperson, but believe me, once they're helping you, they will give you their full attention, and treat you like family. Mixed bag review. Salesman Henry was kind and knowledgeable and accommodating and a pleasure to work with in buying a new window air conditioner. Problem was with the delivery. It was specified twice on the delivery manifest to uncrate the air conditioner. It was delivered and the driver ignored the request of the 91 year old customer to uncrate it. Driver was very rude, and left the crate just past the front door of the apartment and left despite being asked twice by the customer to uncrate it. Difficult time getting customer service. Had to wait on hold to speak to store manager. Started a conversation with him and had to call back. Second call was answered by the rudest person I've ever dealt with. When I asked to speak to the manager he responded we are getting a delivery. Call back in 15 minutes. I said again let me speak to the manager. He again said manager is busy call back. I said you don't want to handle this is this fashion, what's your name. His response was "I don't have to tell you my name". I responded that if he didn't put his manager on the phone I would take it to a much much higher corporate level. Store manager got on the phone and apologized for the clerks rudeness, the failure of the delivery person to uncrate the air conditioner and reassured me that he would personally go to the customers apartment and uncrate it himself. That is taking care of the customer the right way. The customer (my mom) has bought many items at this location and will not buy anything else there. Store manager did keep his word and went to customers house to open crate. And asked that I not post a bad review. Had the delivery men done their job, and the clerk who answered the phone not been so nasty this would have all been unnecessary. Train your staff better eddie. My mother and I recently shopped this location and purchased 2 flat-screen TVs and a stainless steel double door refrigerator, well over $ 3K in total. The tv delivery was done quickly professional without any problems The refrigerator delivered on a later date and was brought inside her apartment unprofessional which resulted in damaging her apartment front door locks she couldn't get out of her apartment, fearing the worst she called a locksmith immediately and it was repaired which cost her over 1K .My mom who is a senior citizen living on a fixed income she neglected to take pics of the damage before fixing the lock the same day, so PC Richard called her and said they are not compensating my mother so you can take us to small claims court. This is a horrible way to do business and unacceptable, we both have never never had a problem with the company, and as a result of this is incident we will think twice about doing business again with PC Richard & Son read more

Spectacularly terrible service by incredibly incompetent people. (Keep in mind that the sales staff were okay and I'm writing mostly about the support/services staff). We bought a washer and a dryer from them, and it's been more than half a year. Service people are still coming in and out of my place (often rescheduling a very broad 4 hour window). They sent three men to measure the dimensions of the washer/dryer storage area and somehow managed to send us a unit that was too big. Since then, they came back multiple times for minor fixes that should've been taken care of in one visit. And when they do come, it's never at the promised time window. Wow! This store is terrible. I ordered a dishwasher months ago. The salesperson said I would have it within one to two weeks. However, it never came, but I was charged the full price of the dishwasher on my credit card the day I ordered. I called the store repeatedly and the salesperson was always rude and dismissive. Moreover, although I asked that the receipt be emailed to me, it was never sent. For the past two months, the salesperson has repeatedly told me that the dishwasher is delayed because of the pandemic. Yesterday, the salesperson "generously" offered to provide me with a different dishwasher (which cost less) for the same price. When I pointed out that the newly recommended dishwasher was cheaper, he was extremely rude. I have now cancelled the transaction because I do not trust P.C. Richards. I recently purchased a GE oven weeks ago and paid for the delivery in the store then called them later that day to pay for the installation. They ended up charging me twice for the delivery and after multiple conversations and constantly sending them the invoices and credit cards transactions they refunded my money. For some reason they couldn't understand this from the beginning!!! When the oven was delivered and installed two weeks and they went to test it, the oven didn't work!!!! So the they had to put in for a new order to be delivered and installed. Mind you, they took my old one and left the new GE appliance which did not work so I wasn't able to cook! Today they came to deliver the new one and the guys were not licensed to disconnect or install which I paid for. So now i have two oven. Neither of which work sitting in my apartment. I just cannot describe in words the state of TOTAL INCOMPETENCE of this entire company. My elderly parents got a very expensive grill delivered from the Yonkers store (preassembled) Whoever put the grill together had to work very hard to assemble it improperly. He (she) actually pried open the side panel to force the propane gas line to the outside of the grill, then had to pull with enough force to stretch the rigid hose to affix it to the outside with the L bracket that was supposed to be attached to the inside. Uhhh... the bracket to hold the propane tank was mounted on the inside as it should be, and the gas line was routed to the outside? How can anyone do that!??! How anyone can be so incredibly clueless is just not possible. I can therefore only determine that it was done intentionally for some reason I cannot possibly fathom. I asked the manager how the delivery team didn't notice it, either as I'm sure this is not the 1st grill they delivered. He said, "They just drop off the stuff and leave. They have no idea..." Great. He admitted that they're all clueless and incompetent. My mom told me that she had to insist that the delivery crew unwrap the yards of plastic covering the grill and also had to insist they take it with them. I don't expect white glove service, but common courtesy would be appreciated. Despite its condition, I had to use the grill as we had a houseful of people for a Memorial Day BBQ. So I just dismantled the bracket to have enough slack to hook up the bottle. Called the 800 # for PC Richard the next day. They mentioned that there have been several similar complaints. However, their attitude was more in the line of placing the issue in my lap with, "Why did you decide to use it at all?" vs. a sincere and heartfelt apology. I let the office know that even though my parents are tolerant and forgiving, I would be managing this situation for them in a much more businesslike manner. They then offered to call the store directly to speak to the general manager who will be calling me eventually. Avoid this company as if your life depended on it. If they give you a faulty gas grill, that might just be the case. As a post script on May 31, 2017: The main office was very insistent that they could not take back the grill because it's been used. I let them know that the gas line had to be replaced because it's been kinked and compromised. Also all the burner tubes had to be replaced because the "flavorizer bars" which cover the burners were not installed properly, either and the burners were therefore clogged with grease from this first use. As a result the grill would no longer start. The manager of the Yonkers store "pulled some strings" (his exact words) and is exchanging the grill for a new one. That's nice, but I have to say, this whole company has no class whatsoever and has no clue about how to deal with their valuable customers. I called for a delivery confirmation on the replacement. The main office transferred me to the store, the store clerk transferred me to manager. The manager transferred me to another extension. Some guy picks up and says this exactly, "WHEN U WANT IT?" "Uhhhh... excuse me? Who is this and why are you being so curt with me? Let's start over: When do I want what? " I asked for the delivery to be new in the box and I will assemble it myself for my parents. I do not trust them to assemble the grill. read more

I needed to buy a new TV because my other Tv's screen cracked. I bought a new one from PC richards 4 weeks ago. It was supposed to be delivered to the house but when they delivered it they never called me to come to the door so I did not hear the door bell. The TV went back to the warehouse and I had to go to Yonkers to go get another one. I go speak to someone and on the phone they told me they had the TV in stock. I drive there and now the TV is not in stock, but they say the will order it for me and it will get here sometime the week after. I show up the week after and we pick up the TV bring it home, set it up, and the only thing working on the TV was the sound. We then pack up the TV bring it back and then we are told it is going to be another week to get the TV. We wait the week, go and pick up the new TV and there was no TV. we were told there were issues with the warehouse. Yet again, we have to wait another week. We show up the next week to get our TV and same issue. No TV but this time they tried to appease us and "deliver the TV for free because we had been waiting so long" Like they don't already offer free delivery. We then wait another week and instead of showing up we call and they still don't have the TV and they wanted us to wait another week but we just asked for a refund. I will be going to best buy and never buying a TV from them again. This is completely ridiculous and it was clear that they just kept on either forgetting to order the TV or just putting it off for someone else to do. For the $3000 i spent with them I would hope they would be a bit more accommodating. read more

I am giving them another well deserved 5 stars . I just got the dishwasher delivered, and the uninstalled my old one, took it away and installed my new dishwasher, and all under an hour. They were kind, professional and the sweetest young men you'll ever meet. They were careful in my home and when some water came out of the old dishwasher they asked for paper towels to clean it up.
