These guys need to stabilize in the kitchen. My favorite item from their menu is the broccoli beef. twice out the four times I have ordered it, they have messed it up. The first time it was SOOO over fried, it was very, very tough and inedible. This week I ordered it again, but as soon as the plate was on the table I could not smell any of the spicy sauce it is simmered in. It was like a weaken beef gravy, with very little flavor. I asked my server to ask the kitchen about the mistake. The kitchen sent out a small bowl of the sauce and said the dish could not be returned (!). I told my server that while the sauce was nice, the meat was not cooked in it and the spicy sauce would now be mixed with the nasty brown gravy. He took it back. It was returned with the same meat (I counted the pieces before it left) and over half of the plate was piled high with brown rice. I have been a good customer there. I have gone often and I have brought numerous guests there. I will not return. Management- your kitchen lost you customers. There are lots of other good restaurant options by the mall, skip P.F. I've been to the PF Chang's in Milwaukee, and in Omaha Nebraska, and I have to say this one is better than both of those combined. This location opened almost a month ago (June 24th to be exact.) For only it's 3rd week open and as crowded as it was. We only had a 20 min wait at peak time. I will definitely be coming back. We tried the Chang's coconut cooler and the Chang's ginger beer. Both can have alcohol added of course with a extra charge but delicious without the alcohol. The coconut cooler is the perfect drink for a hot day. The ginger beer had kick with a nice zest to it. We had the surf and turf entree. Definitely plenty of food for 2 people. If it's your first time going to PF Chang's just remember the entrees are family size and made to share. If you have room for dessert than I recommend the banana spring rolls drizzled with a caramel sauce, fresh berries and a vanilla pineapple ice cream. You really can't go wrong ordering anything on the menu. So sit back and enjoy. read more

Almost everyone has been here, so you know the food is consistently good and they have a lot more healthy options than most sadism restaurants. Their lettuce wraps are super yum. We usually get the healthier chicken, but decided to try the new Dynamite Shrimp wraps. I like spicy! They weren't too spicy, so most people will love them. Great flavor. We also tried the avocado crunch rolls and they were also fresh and delicious. The Restaurant was super clean, friendly staff, and a brand new bartender that was fun and personable. If you're holiday shopping at Fox River Mall, skip the food court and the long lines at the brewery and go across the parking lot for some fresh, flavorful food. read more

Terrible hospitality from hostess (Her name is Angel possibly) and manager (Abby maybe?) They refused to accommodate our party. The restaurant wasn't full at all, but they refused to put a few table together for us. I pointed out about 5 empty tables, trying to come up with a solution. They refused to push tables together. THEN They even refused to put us at tables that were close together. And on top of it, they didn't want us to sit at the bar. The manager even went to the bar and removed about 5 bar stools to make sure we didn't sit there. It was absolutely ridiculous. The bartender Amy was a sweetheart even with the circumstances. My wife's had the salmon, which was hot and flavorful. Her rice was cold. My Kung pao chicken was cold and below average in flavor. My lo mein was cold. The Sapporo beer was delicious. Her wine was good. For 75 bucks, it was very disappointing. It was also freezing in the restaurant, which doesn't make it very comfortable. They changed the menu again and there are not enough choices. The great luncheon bowls are gone. The sweet and sour chicken and honey chicken are almost the same and the breading is too heavy. The tables were sticky. waited another 20 minutes for x2 appetizers and x1 pasta dinner. The dumplings did not sizzle when sauce was poured over because the plate was cold. Ate at the one in Appleton, WI a few weeks ago. Never been to one before. You could tell there was a definite staffing issue as many people we being seated at the bar and were leaving because no one was even approaching them for any type of order. And I don't mean just waiting a few minutes. They were pretty patient and waited at least 10 minutes without any type of an acknowledgment from the bartender. In her defense, she got wacked in the head with the serving tray when a server brought a couple's food out from the kitchen. She wasn't seen for a bit because she was crying and holding a wet cloth to her head. Anyway, I had ordered and was relaxing and watching all of this unfurl. When my food arrived, I was pretty underwhelmed. The quantity vs. price was not good. I had ordered an appetizer of dumplings first. They were ok. I forgot what I ordered as the main dish because it was just....not memorable. Again, very small serving at a premium price. For drink, I ordered a bloody mary I had to water down because otherwise my face turned red and I coughed for what seemed like forever. I know it was bad because the few others sitting at the bar were looking at me wondering if I needed help. I drank more water than I did the bloody mary. So, with an appetizer, main dish and a drink, it cost me (one person) almost $65 with a standard tip. (I felt bad because she got whacked with the tray). Again, the food tasted ok. Picked up order and drove 9 minutes to our house. Mongolian Beef was so chewy it was inedible. No sauce provided to go along with the beef. We did not eat it but threw it in the trash - as opposed to the in sink eradicator which would not have cut through the beef. Kung Pao Chicken was actually good. Crab Wonton was horrible. If you listen to any of these reviews, please let it be mine. My leftovers from this place are sitting in the fridge and every time I open the door, they call my name and tell me to impulsively eat them. Their wonton soup is unmatched and when you eat it, it feels like your grandma just knitted you a quilt and wrapped you with it. Their tonkotsu ramen is amazing. Mongolian beef is incredible. Get those banana egg rolls even if you feel sick due to how full you are (like I did thanks to the waiter that used his mind games on me to make me get them). They boast about how all the food they serve is made there. They deserve to boast about it. We have been here multiple times and have had wonderful food and service. Unfortunately, that was not the case on 3/10/2024. We decided to stop for dinner after some shopping. It was around 6:30-6:45 and we thought it was odd that the parking lot was practically empty. After checking, the restaurant was open, so we went in for a table. I think there were maybe two or three other tables occupied. After being sat by what looked to be the manager (wearing a suit), our waiter came a little while later to take drink orders. We ordered drinks and an appetizer of steamed pork dumplings. I have to say, at least the drinks were decent (water, Coke, a pomegranate lemonade, and a rising dragon cocktail). That was the only good thing about our meal. The dumplings were practically cold. For dinner we ordered Mongolian beef with fried rice, orange chicken with fried rice, and an order of vegetable lo mein. The food got to our table and the waiter mentioned that the Mongolian beef usually has "those green onion things, but we ran out.". So, there was a small splattering of beef in the bowl. The orange chicken was the only food that was somewhat hot, and it was spicier than usual (so my daughter couldn't eat it this time). The fried rice had no egg, and the noodles looked different. Most of the food was lukewarm at best, and the portions seemed much smaller than the last time we were there (Nov/Dec 2023). The waiter stopped by only one other time after bringing our food, then took forever to bring our bill. Such a disappointment compared to the other times we've been here. What an amazing group! Ordered takeout for 2 families, food was amazing! They forgot the lettuce for our lettuce wraps which we discovered when we got back to the house and when we called to notify them they actually sent an employee to our house special to deliver the missing lettuce!!! Well, was hoping for better having eaten at the location at Mayfair Mall. We ordered carry out on a Sunday at 6:30 pm--$112.00 worth. Pad Thai was tasteless and dry, seriously no sauce! The chicken was fried battered pieces of chicken in some sauce. No vegetables in the dish. Literally chicken nuggets rolled in sauce. The pepper steak was better. On the last leg of a 2 week trip. We have eaten out breakfast and dinner for the entire trip. This resturant was a pleasant surprise. Staff was a little short but such is the times, but the young lady that waited on us gave a herculian effort. The food was excellent. We had fried dumplins and they put a nice flare on them by serving them piping hot on a hot plate. And they were delicious. We also had a great pork egg roll. My wife got sweet and sour chicken and I got fried rice. Both were excellent, which we share and had plenty. Definitely recommend. This was our first visit to the Appleton location. We have dined at the MN and CA locations in the past. I have to say the food was not good. We ordered 3 different sushi rolls, dynamite, shrimp tempura and spicy tuna, and it was the worst sushi we have eaten. Did not taste fresh and it was extremely fishy. The Korean Bulgogi Steak was also very tough. Our server did a good job and was very friendly and attentive. I can honestly say this was the worst meal we have ever had dining out. read more

We drove half an hour to get there with my family and it was closed due to technical problems (gas not working) that had been going on since they opened that morning. As with a lot of people in the Fox Valley area, we were waiting for the opening of this store. I had previously visited P.F. Chang in some of their other locations so I was interested to see the store in our area. Our reservation for eight was made a week in advance and reconfirmed earlier in the day of the visit. I arrived at the store about 20 minutes early and checked in with the host staff. The table wasn't ready so I took a seat at the bar. As our group gathered, we all checked in with the host staff and convened at the bar to wait on our table. Our reservation was for 6 pm. We were seated at 6:30 pm. I mentioned to the manager onsite of the inconvenience and suggested that some goodwill apps might be in order for the inconvenience to the group. The manager replied that "It couldn't be helped" which I thought was an interesting comment. Obviously, it is the customers issue, not management? Again interesting. Failure of management 101 class. He proceeded to disappear. Jesse, our waitstaff, was very friendly and very attentive, did a wonderful job. He was able to "snag" a leftover order from the kitchen to try to accommodate for the inconvenience of the group. He took our orders and the orders came out to the table in a timely manner. My wife's order came with the salmon undercooked. The manager reappeared and took the salmon back to the kitchen to be cooked properly and stated that the item would be removed from our bill. He must have been revived in management 101 class on that day. Pass management 101. Regrettably, the return of the salmon came back to the table after everyone on the table had already finished eating. Failure of management 101 Our bill comes to the table and the removal of the undercooked salmon was not removed from the bill. Again, failure of management 101 class. I flag down Jesse and he corrects the issue. I tack on the rewards number as a rewards member to the payment receipt and, of course, the bill not credited to the rewards program. More failure of simple management 101 The excitement of this store in our area has obviously driven higher traffic for this store. A higher traffic that this management team seems to be ill prepared. It will be interesting over time as the newness wears off to determine how much of an impact of the bad management will hinder the success of this store. read more

Ahhh our beloved pf changs. Went to the new one (new to us) in appleton, wi. Service was good but the food...somehow things have changed over the years. Portions tiny and just not the flavor or hotness it used to be. First time I did not have any to go and even if I did probably would not eat it. We used to drool sitting at the well manned bar at the PF Changs in Roseville, CA back when the restaurant chain was new and just opened (me thinks closer to 2005?). We went there proudly for years and years. We knew it would do well as my hairdresser said her stepdad was the "p" in PF Changs as he also owned Paul Martins that we went crazy for as it was the best steak house restaurant ever. We won't go to the PF Changs in Appleton again. Too overpriced for what they consider good high end chinese food. read more

Food was great but boba tea was not drinkable - thought it had some type of alcohol in it at first but must have had some bad batch of flavoring as it was incredibly bitter and I had to dump it (and I can stomach just about anything). Eh. It was our first time going and advised them of this (due to them asking). I got sesame chicken and my husband got honey chicken. They bother we're expensive for the type of food it was ($15) but we were willing to pay if the food was as good as people were saying. We had the crab wontons as an appetizer (ew) it was not good at all. After a while we got our food and was not impressed with how little food you get for the high price point. Not impressed by the lack of flavors and since we each got fried rice with our meals we got one little bowl of fried rice between us and paid $3 extra on top of the $15 meal each. We were never told it was an upcharge. The fried rice tasted like white rice no flavor or anything. After spending $50 not including tip I felt very disappointed and would have rather went to Nakishima you get waaaaay more food for the same price if not cheaper. Tried this for the first time via a Food Delivery app one night, and we were not impressed. First off, the price tag is ridiculous for the amount of food you receive - the portions are very lacking. Chicken Lettuce wraps were okay, but the consistency was dry and especially hard to eat considering we found several bones in the mixture. The Mongolian beef was literally the DRIEST meat I have ever eaten, and I cannot for the life of me understand why it was cooked so much that it basically turned into beef jerky. Not even joking. The rice was dry and was not sticky, and our order was missing items. Oh, and their $3 soda is like 10 ounces which is again, a rip off. Arrived at 7pm after a long day at work. There were lots of staff on but they were more concerned with being among them selves than with the guests in the restaurant. Waitress took my drink order, I told her I would be ready when she returned. When she came back she said she would be right back. After 10 minutes she came back and acted like I was the one holding up my order. The restaurant business is just getting worse and worse.
