Dinner was great! It was a Friday night so definitely busy but the staff were polite and managed the crowd well. We ordered and were able to customize our choices and got the food quick. It was clean and maintained inside and bonus if it's your birthday they blow bubbles and come out with a sparkler!

Anneli is Amazing! She is our Fav waitress here at P.F. Chang's Fashion Valley. We come in for a pot of tea, orange chicken and chicken lettuce wraps with brown rice. What a great experience. The ambience here is red and romantic for Valentine's Day

Came on a Thursday evening and plenty of open seating I sat at the bar Ordered the lychee martini and it did not disappoint. Was sweet, but not too sweet, ice cold, & delicious Ordered 1/2 orders of lettuce wraps, wontons, & bbq ribs Lettuce wraps were standard. The wontons tasted very heavily of bell pepper, which I was not expecting. The ribs had a nice glaze on them, but one of them the fat was not rendered off, so it was a big bites of glazed fat The staff was super nice. Not very talkative. The restaurant is a little dim for us older people that need extra light to see, but the bar had little lights that shine right on the menu. Lot parking with plenty of parking There's also an outdoor area, but it was not open.

So good!!!! Loved the service, the host being over the top, to our sever who brought all the goodness. The the food... oh my!!! Left full, and feeling so satisfied and wanting to comeback as soon as I can. The over all of the Asian influence and the cherry blossoms all over. I am in love of the decor!! You must go!!

We had spring rolls for appetizers, they were yummy. For entree, we had PF chang special chicken with fried rice and Singapore noodles with shrimp. Singapore noodles were something different I had for the first time, must try. Service was pretty smooth and our host was very friendly. Overall restaurant vibes was cozy and comfortable.

This is a little better than average Americanized Chinese food. We went at lunch time to take advantage of lunch specials. They're a great deal and the food was good. Our server was friendly. My only issue is that the food took a very long time to come out! We were a party of 7. The restaurant wasn't even a quarter full. A little annoying. We were celebrating a birthday so received a complimentary dessert (the Great Wall of chocolate) along with the cool "sparkler" type of candle. Again, it took probably 20 minutes to get the dessert. It was delicious, though. I also love that you can have brown rice instead of steamed white rice for no additional charge.

I recently dined at P.F. Chang's in the Fashion Valley Mall with my family in San Diego. Overall, we had a good experience, though there are areas for improvement. The food was tasty, but I noticed some dishes were a bit overly salted. One big drawback for me is that they don't offer free refills on lemonade, especially when places like Cheesecake Factory do, and I don't think an extra glass would hurt their bottom line. With prices steadily climbing and portion sizes not matching up, the no-refill policy feels even more noticeable as I am definitely a beverage person. Dessert, on the other hand, was delicious and sharing it at the table was a highlight with no complaints there. Service is where things became hit-or-miss; while some staff are very good, our waitress assumed we wanted dinner pricing when we were there for the lunch special. When we clarified, her response was unprofessional and carried unnecessary attitude. A simple "I'am sorry for the misunderstanding, let me fix it right away" would have gone a long way. Once the order was corrected, the meal itself was enjoyable, but consistency in both food and service is what earns 5 stars, so I rated my experience a solid 4 stars, good, but not excellent.

P.F. Chang's, a portmanteau of Philip Chiang (chef and co-founder) and Paul Fleming (restaurateur and regular guest), serves a menu with roots in Chinese cuisine at this Mission Valley location. ATMOSPHERE: spacious, eastern lounge vibes (terracotta statues, lady w katana) with red, black, dark wood tones and a dark ceiling w geometric lanterns SERVICE Helpful, friendly, attentive FOOD 5/5 EDAMAME Steamed to order, tossed with kosher salt - I particularly liked the epidermal layer 5/5 SHRIMP DUMPLINGS, STEAMED: soft wonton exterior, delicate shrimp interior, served over chili sauce 5/5 PORK DUMPLINGS, PAN FRIED: soft and crisp exterior, juicy flavorful pork interior, served over chili sauce 4.5/5 HOT & SOUR SOUP Rich and tangy broth, silken tofu, chicken, bamboo shoots, egg 4/5 FIRECRACKER SHRIMP Tossed with charred peppers and onion, finished in a sweet chili butter. Knocked off a star for it being a tad too sweet. 4/5 BEEF WITH BROCCOLI Ginger-garlic aromatics, green onion, steamed broccoli. Knocked off a star for it being a tad too sweet. 4/5 Crab wontons: hand folded, crispy fried exterior, creamy crab interior over a pond of spicy plum sauce, which I would have preferred this served on the side to avoid the soggy bottom 3/5 Green beans, tempura style: cooked tender, but lacked flavor (not counting the dipping sauce)

Decided to try this location again! It doesn't appear like cleanliness is a priority for them. The floor had what looked like rice all over. The hostess came to sweep it up but didn't do a good job. Still scattered rice everywhere in the dining area. Not sure if it was the plumbing in that area but the restrooms smelt like sewer, so they kept the doors open. The lunch special I had was the honey crispy chicken with the lo mein noodles. It was highly mediocre. My hot & sour soup was just okay. I asked for sauces and instead of bringing me the trio (which now they charge for) she brought me mustard & chili paste that was not what I wanted or asked for. It was around 2:00pm on a holiday and there were very few customers in the restaurant. I used to love coming here but not anymore. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else in Fashion Valley. There's a lot to choose from.

Got here at 11 AM for an early lunch. Our waitress was terrible. Hardly any customers so not sure why. She did not bring things we asked for and disappeared for most of our lunch. Food running was also not great. Meals were given to the wrong person more than once. Food quality itself was excellent. That is usually very consistent at all PF Changs. There was a terrible smell by and in the restrooms. Stomach turning...like raw sewage. I'm generally a fan, but today was not a good day at PF Changs. Saturday, 11/22/25 11 AM

It's been a long tine since I came back to P.F.Chang in general. The customer services is great and the place is clean. Not to impress about the food. Cucumber salad is refreshing. It's a little bland for our taste. Mongolian beef is okay. And the lo mein noodle is also okay. Nothing stand out.

    yes

What outside seating do they have?

Does the kung pao chicken come with a side of white rice?

    Yes !

Do they have a vegan menu? If not, what can be veganized?

They have veggie lettuce wraps. Which should be vegan. They are always super helpful on pointing out can be modified. The edamame; fried green beans all vegan. Though I didn't ask what kind of oil, I suspect it is a plant oil.

We ordered the spicy lamb biang biang noodles and the non-spicy beef pulled noodles, and both had the perfect chew and incredible flavor. We also ordered the garlic green beans, but they came out so late that we were already completely full from the noodles, so we took them to go. Thank god we did, because they turned out to be pretty salty on their own and really needed to be paired with white rice at home. Overall, an amazing spot for authentic noodles! Something I didn't love though, you order and pay through the online menu. Considering you leave a tip I don't fully understand how it works when we did this whole process ourselves. I also noticed other tables getting plates and bowls which we had to ask for. Overall, I felt the servers weren't too friendly either and seemed to rush through our table despite them standing around not seeming too busy. The food was excellent though! The soup had a great spice to it and super flavorful. The beef and onion was so juicy and addictive, the green beans were good too and had a slight kick to them.

The shrimp were huge, and the caramelized walnuts were broken up and sprinkled all over so you could taste it in every bite. The portions were alright--three dishes were enough for two people. TL;DR It's really good. Go here…read more -------------- I came here after a friend recommended it when I told them I was coming down to San Diego for a day trip during my spring break from school in Orange County. I was born and raised in LA, so I've had a lot of Chinese food growing up, and I wasn't expecting to be this surprised--but I really was. I ordered the black bean eggplant and the salt and pepper chicken wings. The wings are what they're known for, but I have to start with the eggplant because it completely caught me off guard. It wasn't mushy at all--crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and coated in sauce without losing its texture. Every bite had depth and balance, not just saltiness. I actually meant to start with the wings, but the eggplant was so good I ended up eating half of it before even getting to them. By that point I was already getting full, but I still made sure to finish the wings--and I'm honestly excited to take the rest of the eggplant home as leftovers. By the time I got to the wings, I understood why they're popular--crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying--but what stood out to me was how both dishes complemented each other. One rich and layered, the other crisp and bright. I never got tired of eating, which honestly says a lot. I even told the staff how much I enjoyed the food and they thought I was joking, but I meant every word in saying I thought it was comparable, if not better then the food I've had in Chinatown in LA. Really glad I came here and the next time I have a chance to come back down to SD I definitely will come back here and that's not negotiable for me

This place is NOT worth the high rating it has. We ordered the Fried Green Beans, they were cooked in oil that was obviously not to temperature. Too greasy for consumption. To make it worse? They were drowned in salt! The Crispy Beef was nothing but thick dough with no beef inside. To add insult to injury it was BURNED so badly that all you could smell was burnt dough and taste burned dough. Hardly any sauce on it as well. The Shrimp Fried Rice should have just been plain white rice for how bland it was. The Vegetable Chow Mein literally was just a container of salt. Slim noodles and salt, disgusting! We spent so much money and all of this is going right into the garbage. Stay away from this hole! It should be shut down for trying to poison people. Feels like I am going to go blind from the amount of salt I ingested from only a few bites. Gross!!

Afterwards, we thought it was AYCE on the menu of your choice + the side buffet where there are limited selections of sides and refrigerated drinks. We ordered orange chicken, Chinese style fish and something else. Again, this was on the thought that we could order more than one item on our selected menu. So imagine our surprise when the bill was nearly $100 for two people? It was a misunderstanding. However, the initial staff gentlemen was completely rude about it and ignored us as we sought to understand. Finally, a second female server came and heard our concerns regarding the false advertisement and unclear messaging. She was able to provide us the price we thought this was for based on Menu selection. All in all - I don't recommend the AYCE option.
