Ordered in app for pick up. Food was ready and waiting for me, hostess and server that helped me were both very nice and I was greeted upon entering and exiting. The food itself wasn't as good as usual. The chicken wasn't finally chopped as it normally is, was pretty dry and the amount definitely seemed smaller. There was just one small container of sauce, there used to be multiple. Hoping it's better next time.

Tonight, we had the Broiled Salmon dinner, Kung Pao Dragon Roll and Lettuce Wraps. Washed it all down with a 9 ounce glass of Chloe Pinot Grigio. Salmon was okay, slightly over cooked. Broccoli, spinach and mushrooms were delicious. The sushi roll was unevenly cut and was alright. Lettuce wraps is PF Chang's signature warm up dish and was as good as ever. The Chloe brand Pinot Grigio was so so. But, our server, Jacob was awesome!

Food is so yummy. My favorite for Asan food. So fresh and delicious. Service here is excellent and quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience is quite quiet even though the restaurant was packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like the Birthday surprise they had for me..

Dinner was great! It was a Friday night so definitely busy but the staff were polite and managed the crowd well. We ordered and were able to customize our choices and got the food quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was clean and maintained inside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and bonus if it's your birthday they blow bubbles and come out with a sparkler!

Anneli is Amazing! She is our Fav waitress here at P.F. Chang's Fashion Valley. We come in for a pot of tea, orange chicken and chicken lettuce wraps with brown rice. What a great experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience here is red and romantic for Valentine's Day[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came on a Thursday evening and plenty of open seating I sat at the bar Ordered the lychee martini and it did not disappoint. Was sweet, but not too sweet, ice cold, & delicious Ordered 1/2 orders of lettuce wraps, wontons, & bbq ribs Lettuce wraps were standard. The wontons tasted very heavily of bell pepper, which I was not expecting. The ribs had a nice glaze on them, but one of them the fat was not rendered off, so it was a big bites of glazed fat The staff was super nice. Not very talkative. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is a little dim for us older people that need extra light to see, but the bar had little lights that shine right on the menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lot parking with plenty of parking [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also an outdoor area, but it was not open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We had spring rolls for appetizers, they were yummy. For entree, we had PF chang special chicken with fried rice and Singapore noodles with shrimp. Singapore noodles were something different I had for the first time, must try. Service was pretty smooth and our host was very friendly. Overall restaurant vibes was cozy and comfortable.

Ordered a $200 office dinner. I can see door dash driver waited there 25 minutes and then restaurant cancels order (nearly an hour after I ordered) what is wrong with people

So good!!!! Loved the service, the host being over the top, to our sever who brought all the goodness. The the food... oh my!!! Left full, and feeling so satisfied and wanting to comeback as soon as I can. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The over all of the Asian influence and the cherry blossoms all over. I am in love of the decor!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You must go!!

I recently dined at P.F. Chang's in the Fashion Valley Mall with my family in San Diego. Overall, we had a good experience, though there are areas for improvement. The food was tasty, but I noticed some dishes were a bit overly salted. One big drawback for me is that they don't offer free refills on lemonade, especially when places like Cheesecake Factory do, and I don't think an extra glass would hurt their bottom line. With prices steadily climbing and portion sizes not matching up, the no-refill policy feels even more noticeable as I am definitely a beverage person. Dessert, on the other hand, was delicious and sharing it at the table was a highlight with no complaints there. Service is where things became hit-or-miss; while some staff are very good, our waitress assumed we wanted dinner pricing when we were there for the lunch special. When we clarified, her response was unprofessional and carried unnecessary attitude. A simple "I'am sorry for the misunderstanding, let me fix it right away" would have gone a long way. Once the order was corrected, the meal itself was enjoyable, but consistency in both food and service is what earns 5 stars, so I rated my experience a solid 4 stars, good, but not excellent.

P.F. Chang's, a portmanteau of Philip Chiang (chef and co-founder) and Paul Fleming (restaurateur and regular guest), serves a menu with roots in Chinese cuisine at this Mission Valley location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]ATMOSPHERE: spacious, eastern lounge vibes (terracotta statues, lady w katana) with red, black, dark wood tones and a dark ceiling w geometric lanterns[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] SERVICE Helpful, friendly, attentive FOOD 5/5 EDAMAME Steamed to order, tossed with kosher salt - I particularly liked the epidermal layer 5/5 SHRIMP DUMPLINGS, STEAMED: soft wonton exterior, delicate shrimp interior, served over chili sauce 5/5 PORK DUMPLINGS, PAN FRIED: soft and crisp exterior, juicy flavorful pork interior, served over chili sauce 4.5/5 HOT & SOUR SOUP Rich and tangy broth, silken tofu, chicken, bamboo shoots, egg 4/5 FIRECRACKER SHRIMP Tossed with charred peppers and onion, finished in a sweet chili butter. Knocked off a star for it being a tad too sweet. 4/5 BEEF WITH BROCCOLI Ginger-garlic aromatics, green onion, steamed broccoli. Knocked off a star for it being a tad too sweet. 4/5 Crab wontons: hand folded, crispy fried exterior, creamy crab interior over a pond of spicy plum sauce, which I would have preferred this served on the side to avoid the soggy bottom 3/5 Green beans, tempura style: cooked tender, but lacked flavor (not counting the dipping sauce)

This is a little better than average Americanized Chinese food. We went at lunch time to take advantage of lunch specials. They're a great deal and the food was good. Our server was friendly. My only issue is that the food took a very long time to come out! We were a party of 7. The restaurant wasn't even a quarter full. A little annoying. We were celebrating a birthday so received a complimentary dessert (the Great Wall of chocolate) along with the cool "sparkler" type of candle. Again, it took probably 20 minutes to get the dessert. It was delicious, though. I also love that you can have brown rice instead of steamed white rice for no additional charge.

Decided to try this location again! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It doesn't appear like cleanliness is a priority for them. The floor had what looked like rice all over. The hostess came to sweep it up but didn't do a good job. Still scattered rice everywhere in the dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not sure if it was the plumbing in that area but the restrooms smelt like sewer, so they kept the doors open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lunch special I had was the honey crispy chicken with the lo mein noodles. It was highly mediocre. My hot & sour soup was just okay. I asked for sauces and instead of bringing me the trio (which now they charge for) she brought me mustard & chili paste that was not what I wanted or asked for. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was around 2:00pm on a holiday and there were very few customers in the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I used to love coming here but not anymore. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else in Fashion Valley. There's a lot to choose from.

What outside seating do they have?

Does the kung pao chicken come with a side of white rice?

    Yes !

Do they have a vegan menu? If not, what can be veganized?

They have veggie lettuce wraps. Which should be vegan. They are always super helpful on pointing out can be modified. The edamame; fried green beans all vegan. Though I didn't ask what kind of oil, I suspect it is a plant oil.

Unfortunately, I forgot the server's name but to have a server who is not originally Filipino and can speak about flavors and cuisine is amazing to me.cI attached the photo of everything we ordered from the beef belly, crispy pig ears, kare kare, and pandan (to name a few). Actually, the tomahawk tocino is brilliant. Everything was flavorful and a gastronomical experience. What also really warms my super Filipino heart is seeing other ethnicities coming to eat here and enjoying the dish. I look forward to coming back here to treat myself and whenever I am in the area.

The moment you step inside, the bi-level space makes a striking impression with its mid-century accents, exposed brick, and warm, moody lighting. It manages to balance a lively, energetic atmosphere with an effortless chicness that feels tailored for a memorable night out. The happy hour here is an absolute standout, featuring an expansive array of creative food options and crafted drinks. The menu brings an inventive Asian fusion twist to bar bites, offering flavor-forward small plates that pair seamlessly with the beverage program. The drinks deserve equal applause: the craft cocktails are meticulously balanced, and the signature ube-inspired cocktails are as vibrant and distinct as they are delicious. Adding to the venue's overall charm is the live music program. Catching live jazz, soul, and blues sets elevates the entire experience from a simple dinner run into a full sensory event. The music creates a vibrant, soulful backdrop without overpowering table conversation, striking just the right rhythm for intimate catch-ups or energetic group gatherings. Whether you are dropping in for a quick drink, indulging in a multi-dish happy hour spread, or lingering late for the live tunes and exceptional cocktails, Books & Records captures everything that makes CS Hospitality's concepts so special. The kitchen clearly knows how to prepare quality dishes, and the food is the reason I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars instead of less. That said, I deducted one star because of the location and overall environment. I chose Kingfisher because I was looking forward to Vietnamese cuisine, but when I arrived, my first impression was disappointing. Right by the entrance there was a strong urine smell, and because the restaurant has an open-air layout, it affected the dining experience. I also found myself concerned about the surrounding neighborhood and the overall setting. For me, a great restaurant is about more than just the food--it's also about feeling comfortable, relaxed, and enjoying the atmosphere. Even if a restaurant serves amazing food, the experience isn't complete if the location makes guests feel uneasy. I understand that Kingfisher has earned Michelin recognition, and the quality of the food certainly shows why. However, I hope the overall dining environment can improve because the talented kitchen deserves a setting that matches the excellent dishes they serve. I would gladly return if this establishment were located in a cleaner, more welcoming area without the homeless encampments nearby.
