This is now the second time I have online ordered here in the past three weeks. And in BOTH times the order was not correct/quality/presentation. Just ordered the funnel cake fries with the two sauces that come in a little cup. They saturated the fries with chocolate syrup. They were soggy and overly sweet because they were soaking in the syrup. The sauce is to be placed in cups for dipping On another occasion, wings and funnel fries were ordered. The texture, taste, and freshness of the tai wings were horrible!!! I have had them at the bar before and they were amazing. The fries were overcooked and hard. Wanted to grab a burger and knew this location was around the corner and since I had never been to a PJ's and also the flyers were playing - I figured this would be a great spot to grab dinner ! This particular building - I'm not sure what the other PJs look like - is very open and big and dark in color and it kind of looks like it's cosplaying as a restaurant. The seating is off and there's one big bar in the middle. We got seated at a high top after waiting a few minutes - it was very busy. Our waitress was very nice and checked in on us frequently. There are literally a million tvs so my boyfriend and I both had good views of the game. He got I think the classic burger and I ordered a seasonal item - the smash burger tacos. Their menu is pretty big mostly sandwiches, burgers, wings and they have a few salads as well. Drinks didn't seem too expensive but also not the best quality. I got a strawberry Tito's lemonade I think it was $9 - definitely lacking on liquor. They do have happy hour specials which is good to know for the future. What I was most surprised with was how good my food was. The tortillas were soft and flavorful and the burgers were cooked well with the toppings it was all really tasty and fresh. It wasn't the most filling option , my boyfriend said the same. But we were satisfied and not over stuffed. The burgers and sandwiches come with chips you can upgrade them to fries, etc. for an additional cost.Overall I was surprised that this was a pretty decent hit! This place is a total dump. The bartenders acted like I was bothering 'em when I tried to get their attention after waiting a long time at the bar. They walked right past me multiple times, didn't even make eye contact. They couldn't care less about treating customers half decent. Don't waste your time or cash - there are a million better spots where you'll actually be welcomed. read more

Food was good. I liked that you could customize some of the sammies with the sauce of your choice. I'm always afraid a sammie will be too hot . The customization gave me the right amount of heat without having my mouth on fire. I noticed the decor was modern with plenty of big screen tv's. Perfect for game days. read more

Picked up takeout tonight around 630. It was busy inside and out. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming - I should've gotten her name. My order was waiting and all I had to do was sign the slip and go, which I appreciated. We ordered 20 naked wings - dry, an order of fries and the kings club. The wings are always good from PJs. There was one wing in the container that was breaded, which was a special treat in my book but could cause issues for someone with an allergy. My son *LOVED* the King's Club. He wouldn't stop raving about it actually lol he totally ignored the bread not being the same throughout and the missing onions because it was THAT good to him. The only issue we experienced was on the menu under original fries is says you get a whole pound of fries and I promise you what we received was maybe half that. For $4.99 it would've been better getting more. Overall, it was a good experience. read more

3.5 stars Haven't been to a PJ Whelihan's in quite some time so I headed out for their Summer Salad Special. The Hostess did not greet me. She seemed preoccupied? I told her I was going to sit at the bar. Bartender cleaned off the area for me and immediately took my drink order. I ordered their "salad" special for the season. It was decent. It consisted of grilled chicken, watermelon, red onion, Cucumber and feta. Could have used a bit more melon. Dressing had a nice kick. I was here with my mom and we asked the server what Chardonnay they had. All she mentioned was the Josh. When we got the bill we were very surprised that the Josh was $18 a glass and that there was a house Chardonnay that was available for $12. The service was also very slow. She also never asked if we were members (I am). I've had good experiences at other PJs but we will not be going back to this one. read more

This place used to be called pizza pub, i guess they are bought out(?) or changed to PJ. Google map took us to random location initially, (im assuming they changed location but was not updated yet?) waze took us to the right place thankfully. Saturday evening around 7:30pm, the place was packed! We were escorted to the table right away, ordered chicken wing and beers. Our waitress did not even offer/bring us water or give us utensils, napkins. She brought food and drink first , we waited to get her attention to ask for it, the place is big but we can't get service timely manner, that was cons, and she was coming to us with utensils and napkins already on her hands but then i feel she should have brought us those first before we got food. Chicken was perfectly cooked but the sauce was meh. We got inferno and hot honey on the side. Those were just sour. Not my taste. Check out process was easy after she brought us check, i could just pay with my phone instead of waiting for her to pick it up and bring it back to us back and forth. read more

We visited PJ's for a work event. We were aware the restaurant was very crowed and there was only 1 bartender on for the night. Our waitress Juliette did a WONDERFUL job. We had about 30 people ordering food and drinks. Juliette kept a positive attitude and showed her amazing personality. Very impressed! read more

Review for the Hatfield location. This review is overdue for we've visited a few times already. I was happy to hear and see that PJ Whelihans was going into my neighborhood. Having visited other locations across South Jersey and PA. The food is good, staff is friendly. Was especially happy that we could bring our well-behaved dog to sit outside with us as we enjoy the warm weather, along with a few drinks and delicious food. This time, I have to say, that I was a little disappointed. The sandwich description, I find it to be a little misleading. American Wagyu French Dip - Ultra-premium American wagyu beef, slow roasted, "piled high" and topped with provolone cheese. Served with beef au jus. The food runner presented the sandwich in front of me, and it was far from "piled high". If you are going to describe your sandwich as "piled high" and charge me $16, then I expect the sandwich to have meat pouring out of the sides and barely get my mouth around it. I'm going to chalk this up as PJ Whelihans getting too corporate. Yes, you might consider a good place to hang out for happy hour and to bring the family, but your hands are tied by the corporation to what you can serve and how much. Which is a shame. The locations should be able to swap out the "regular" boring taps with a few of the local brews, to feature what the area truly has to offer alongside your wings and other foods. Will I return to PJ Whelihans, YES! As I said, I like the happy hour specials, friendly staff and I can bring my dog. We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday. I heard my wife order a chicken cheese steak. She was brought a beef cheese steak. Told the waitress and she acknowledged the error. Another gentleman in the party said that if they were simply going to throw it away anyway, that instead of wasting the food, he would take it. He did. (BTW, the replacement order certainly was not given priority in the kitchen.) Check comes and we find out that both cheese steaks were charged on the bill, even though one was the wrong order. Discussed the issue with our waitress and she said that her manager told her to do that, but that she would review it with him again. Manager came over and said that they were going to remove it "this time", but "for future reference" if you take the food, even if it is the wrong order, it is chargeable. At this point, I said "You said some key words there: 'for future reference'. You can shear a sheep many times, but you can only skin it once. I'm done here." I fail to understand how wasting food in the garbage is good and results in the charge being removed, but preventing a wrong order from being wasted is bad and is chargeable. read more

First of all I was glad to see pizza pub go it was horrible. 4 of us decided to give PJ's a try today. They must have kept the same staff because our server was ignorant and unfriendly. We ordered grilled cheese, 2 burgers, and a BLT easy right??? It took 45 minutes for 2 meals to come out then about 20 minutes more for the other 2 meals to come out. Our waitress dropped the last 2 meals on the table and said "we were waiting on fries that's what took so long." The correct thing would have been to serve all of our food at once. We were half way done eating before our friends meals came out. We stopped eating to wait but our food was getting cold. Needless to say the poor service definitely turned us off and the subpar food was left no boxes needed. I don't understand how neighborhoods like Hatfield entertain such poor quality restaurants. Came here again a couple of weeks ago and loved it even more! The wings & cheesesteak egg rolls are my go-to and better than anywhere else! But then I tried the crab cake sandwich w/the sweet potato fries...and now I have 2 favorites (or 4?!). The sandwich was SO good, and those fries?!? Devin was our server and she was exceptional...very pleasant personality, extremely customer service-oriented, returned at appropriate time to check if meal was satisfactory, and quickly replenished drinks....I will ask for Devin next time I'm there. read more

What a pleasure it was to be at this location! We came in to watch the Philadelphia Union match. It was the first game of the NLDS and the Phillies game was on every TV and the place was packed. Andrea, a manager greeted us and we asked about watching the Union match. She stated that she would see if it was possible and Kate, the other manager would work on it and see what they could to accommodate us. While we were seated, Kate & Andrea were successful in getting the match on a TV close to us and we were thrilled! Going above and beyond for your customers is something that has become rare these days, but these lovely women, as busy as they were, made sure that we were happy and satisfied. How wonderfully kind they were! Out server (I feel so badly because I can't remember her name) was great! She was engaging and friendly and efficient. She anticipated our wants and made sure that we were happy, and couldn't have been nicer! Even though the Union AND the Phillies both lost, we had a terrific time tonight because of these three wonderful women! Thank you all! We will be back! read more

This place is brand new in town replacing my former hang out. Naturally I had to go check it out. The drinks were a little skimpy check my pictures and the service was almost good. The wife had the Mediterranean chicken salad and I had the keto fajita salad. Both were very tasty and arrived within a reasonable time to the table. Since the place is newer I'm gonna give a partial pass to the service and revisit again and re-edit this post. The room was nicely redone from a design standpoint and has a nice vibe.
