I always had good experiences at the dentist growing up (maybe because I never had a cavity until 40) but I have some friends with trauma from their childhood dentist experiences. Here they making everything calm but playful for both regular appointments but also this recent experience with a filling. They Explained all of it so nothing is a surprise, but they use kid friendly terms. They teach you about that before hand so you can use them too! They used laughing gas and a movie to help the little ones stay still and calm. They also took time to talk directly to my son about his habits and help him be informed instead of just me. He took it really seriously and on his own stopped eating an Apple right before bed (after brushing teeth) and changed his routine based on what he planned with Dr. Jason and he's just 4.5!
