This was my second pool installation, and Gulf Coast far exceeded my previous experience in Texas. I had a gunite pool before, but after seeing the difference, I would never go that route again. The owners clearly explained the pros and cons of each pool type, allowing us to make an informed decision. My 14x30 fiberglass pool was completed in just two weeks, including a few weather delays. The process was incredibly efficient -- they dug the hole on day one and set the fiberglass shell on day two. Every employee is a specialist at their job, and we worked with Tom, Jon, and Aaron, who kept us informed every step of the way. When I noticed the pump wasn't the variable-speed model I wanted, I called the owner and he immediately agreed to upgrade it at no extra charge. This company truly does whatever it takes to make sure their customers are satisfied. They also offer a veterans discount, which is a great added benefit. After installation, they leveled my backyard so well that no additional grading was needed for landscaping. Once the pool was filled with water, they sent a technician out to professionally clean it and provided clear, easy-to-understand instructions on how to maintain it as a saltwater pool. If any issues arise later, they offer expert advice on exactly what to do. I would highly recommend Gulf Coast Pool and Spa to anyone thinking about installing a pool -- regardless of the type. What…read morewe don't love is the 5" gap between the pool and the deck and the 3' of sand around the ladder and perimeter of the pool. Just what you DON'T want to track in to your pool or house - SAND. But most important is that we have been requesting the brand and model of our pool and the written warranty for months. So far - nothing. And now we're being ignored. So we've paid to have the deck extended to the pool to avoid potential trip hazard. We bought steps so we don't have to use the ladder and can minimize the sand going in to our pool and our house. We found 2 small (thumbnail size) tears in our liner (we're pretty sure that her installer used our clips that we use for our cover to clip to the rail of the pool when installing the liner - coincidentally 2 of those clips don't have rubber tips. Hmmm). She did come out promptly to patch them using a patch she cut from a piece of liner. Did it do the job? Yes. Does it look like crap? YES. Our answer was to purchase ($6 for ten) precut patches so at least it doesn't look half a$$ed. So far we've paid over $4000 for the pool. Another couple hundred for the contractor to "fill in" the gap on our deck. Amazon got about $300 out of us for the steps. Pinch a Penny got $6. And we haven't even gotten a quote to do something about the sand that surrounds the pool. The sand that, when tracked in on to hardwood floors scratched the heck out of them. Do I love my pool and did she install what she said she was going to? 100%. But the workmanship is shoddy to say the least. Oh. By the way. The ladder was ASSEMBLED AND INSTALLED WRONG! Which I found out by looking at a picture of the ladder on line. Not rocket science. Customer service is questionable at best. Hope you have more success. All I can say is to get EVERYTHING in writing UP FRONT. We have a contract but still waiting on written warranty and info about our pool.

We had a large crack that emerged over time because the shell had been damaged by being dragged when it was installed 10 years ago. Once they got the damaged section removed they found that the pool had never been properly placed or plumbed. When they removed the old concrete ribbon it exposed that the pool wasn't even level. All was repaired, a new Mediterranean blue gel coat with speckles was applied, and new pavers created a perfect border. We are very happy with the end product as well as the ongoing maintenance Splash is now providing. We highly recommend Splash for your pool needs.

You pay for these individuals to come check your pool and clean it weekly. They will come out for…read moremaybe 5 minutes and run their net around a few times pretending to pick stuff up, meanwhile leaving the bottom with debris everywhere. The skimmers poorly cleaned. Salt low light commonly low. They will do the minimum job to collect a paycheck. Pay close attention to the other 1 stars you see on here and what their common theme is. There is a reason for that. They do not provide adequate nor quality service you pay them for to service and tidy up your pool. Its just an easy way to collect your money while pretending to do the job. Fortunately, I have cameras and have been tracking the service for some time. If it were possible I would upload the videos here, but they will definitely be getting out to warn others what they will be getting using this company. In fact, if I were the owner, i would probably start doing surpise inspections on your workers to make sure they are doing what you pay them to do because ultimately it reflects on you. Im just saying. Fyi the owner is a super nice guy and ive notified them of issues multiple other times. The problem is not him. Its some of the workers not doing what he has paid them to do. It appears as though they are rushing to get things done as quickly as possible, cutting corners, and not being thorough. Im pretty sure the owner did not train them to be this way.
