Failed to completely/successfully complete the entire job and it's nearly twenty-one months later. Too, they were to rebuild from the ground up, didn't. They left the rotten, moldy, damaged floors in our home despite being paid to replace all the flooring in our home. The tubs they replaced are much smaller than what we had forcing us to be rubbing elbows with the walls while in the tub/shower. They damage the tub in the master bathroom and the one downstairs and failed to repair it as promised. They used very cheap wood when replacing our supposed to be new fence and they already splitting from top to bottom. The support slacks appear to be bulging out and splitting from top too bottom. The wood on the fence all way around the yard is bending up/outward from ground towards the neighbors yard/fence. The master bedroom is freezing as though it has no insulation and/or its vents are not connected. Several trimmings in the floor boards appear to be old/worn out and not replaced (new) though they were paid to replace them. Exterior Doors, locks, and casings not replaced (new) despite they were paid to replace them all. Hot water tank has a piece missing seen as a building code violation. Flooring upstairs and downstairs are rotten, moldy, caving/sinking, warped, has several noticeable burn spots, etc. The exterior landscaping was not replaced (they threw black garbage bags down, two additional (different from the original fat rocks) types (both are different colors and sizes) of rocks, dead flowers nearly placed beneath and or any kind of way; added a dead highlight tree imitating a Chinese maple tree - a total eyesore. They damaged our backyard by poring the concrete in it and/or adding wood pieces in it. They failed to replace the splitting concrete beneath back porch deck. Left nails sticking out if the exterior siding and didn't properly close siding areas. Didn't replace railings in home despite paid for, damaged neighbors fence and failed to repair, our daughter ended up a victim of identity theft after our home was released to them to discard all of our belonging/property following our house fire, etc. read more

The check went out on October 23 and as I sit here typing this review, the job isn't complete and the crew has yet to show up today. This is my first home. I am a new homeowner so my knowledge of the contracting industry is limited. However, it doesn't take an expert to know that these guys are terrible. Initially, my project manager was Nathan Holland. He is sketchy on his best day. He's unorganized, lacks punctuality, and full of excuses. The latter seems to be a running theme at Paces. Like I said, as I sit here writing this review, the crew that's supposed to be finishing the job today is 4hours late. Anyway, I originally spoke to Nathan on Oct 23 (a Friday) and he scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. This meeting didn't happen until Wed. On that day, we discussed a date and time for additional demo but Nathan needed to get with the estimator because he didn't think enough money was allocated for the job. He misread the estimate and cost me a couple days. He wasn't heard from again until Nov 4th. On Nov 2nd I texted him some flooring that I like and he didn't respond. On the 4th, I texted and asked if I should contact his boss and his reply was, "No, I call you around lunch time tomorrow." We spoke the next day and I told him I really wanted the job started asap but we were unable to make that happen. Fast-forward to Nov 16th, Nov 16th- There was supposed to be a couple guys coming to demo what was left of my bathroom. Only one guy showed. He did a great job and got the room ready for everything. Nathan stopped in for 5mins, he checked on his guy, said he'd get me some samples and left. He never acknowledged the samples I sent him and later that afternoon he sent pictures of vanities from his "supplier". On the 17th, Nathan said he'd be here at 9am but didn't show until 11:47am on the 18th. He seem agitated that I didn't want any of the vanities he suggested and he was short with me. Later that day, I sent him the flooring, vanity, and fixtures I wanted. He replied, "I'll run the numbers." I called my estimator to complain about my job not being a priority among other issues. Nathan called immediately after, apologized and made more excuses. On Nov 19th, Nathan's plumber came and capped my pipes. On the 20th, Nathan came by and I reiterated my chooses of flooring, vanity, and fixtures. He left with the expressed intent to go to the store and get my flooring. Monday (Nov 23rd) He texted me from Lowes and said the flooring had to be ordered and would take an additional week. I was disgusted. If I had of known this on Friday I would selected a different floor. This is what I ended up doing. I also called Paces and discussed my displeasure with Mark (the head guy for this region). He assured me that Nathan would get his act together. On the 24th, my flooring was installed and when I asked about my vanity Nathan admitted he forgot to order it. By not ordering it on that Friday, it pushed the delivery date back to Dec 1. Furthermore, I texted Nathan and asked him to provide me with an expenditure list. He didn't respond. Nathan then texted me on Dec 2nd that HomeDepot didn't have it yet. I cancelled everything I had going on Dec 1 for Nathan to no-call/no show,. He also said my vanity would be there on the 4th. In response I asked for the expenditure list again, and again on Dec 3rd. Nathan never responded. He also no call/no showed on the 4th. Again, I called Paces and spoke with Scott. Scott ensured me that my job was a priority, he took the project away from Nathan and gave it to Chase. Chase came by on Dec 7th, during his visit he realized my flooring was installed without a pad underneath and also said that the type of flooring I chose shouldn't be in a bathroom. It was engineered vinyl and would bubble/warp if it got wet. This was a great catch and I was truly appreciative. On Dec 9th, Chase showed up with his team...they fixed everything except the vanity. As I sit here typing, it is 3:54p 12/10/20...the crew was supposed to be here at 10am. I texted Chase and he said they'd be here at 12pm. At one 1pm I texted him again and he said they were stuck in traffic. At 3pm I called Chase and he said they arent coming today. Do your research!!! Never again read more

If you are looking for a great company, great service and most of all, honest and reliable contractor, then Paces and Craig Collins is the one for you! Here's my story and experience. While I was out of town for the Holiday, my neighbor lost control of his car and ran into the front of my home. Can you image hearing the terrible news while on vacation and having to book an emergency flight to return to a destroyed home (falling bricks, damaged landscaping, broken drywall, damaged electrical, broken specialty window, and valuable furnishings, not to mention it was raining that day? You could truly see the inside the house. It wasn't a good day! I reached out to my insurance company and heard about one of their outstanding contractors on their referral list - PACES Restorations. I contacted them and Ryan came out immediately to review the damages. He made sure the home was secure from the inclement weather and assured me that Paces will take care of the damages and repair. He informed me that one of their team members will take it from there. He was a very nice man. Then a friend HIGHLY recommended one of PACES contractors that she used. So, I requested him. Boy, was she right!! CRAIG COLLINS, Senior Project Manager (in my opinion) is the BEST in the business. Craig is professional and understands the business very well. Actual, he is an EXPERT that comes to the needs of families in crisis. He is detailed-oriented, explains the process, and is a very caring person. One of the things that was most impressive to me was he took the initiative and started demolition/repairs to prevent further damage to my home. It is my understand that most contractors will wait on the approval from the insurance company before doing anything to your home. Craig understood the circumstances and knew by waiting it could cause more damage to my home even a partial roof collapse, so he acted right away. He submitted his estimate to the insurance company; and it was approved quickly. Thanks Craig, you are AWESOME Sause! This company has no regard for your time or money; they will send a tidsoptimist subcontractor that is untrustworthy, a side hustler, who spent time complaining and whining about other customers; the money he's receiving less than expectations from the company that insurance companies pay. They delay your project and don't communicate very well or at all. I had to keep calling them about unfulfilled expectations and receipts. The subcontractor sent here to my home invited his teenage son to my home without asking for my permission to bring outside parties. I made an agreement for his services through Paces and didn't know it included his unknown family too. Made me very uncomfortable and unsafe feeling in my own home with his tone, disregard and flippant attitude. This company was recommended by USAA. I will never use anything USAA advises again regarding my home and definitely not this company either. Rebuttal: I thanked him for the drywall installation because that is all Terrance did. The paint work was completed and made beautiful by another contractor that I hired, I showed him a picture that it was completed in both rooms in 8 hours by that contractor I hired. I am almost certain the refusal to complete the rest of the job meant that he knew it would cut into his money for moving so slowly and being so mysterious about his return dates. I even tipped that contractor very generously because that's who I am. Had Terrance presented himself professionally and not acting like customers are burdensome he would of been acknowledged in the same manner. Everything is in your attitude and presentation. He made me very uncomfortable and anxious. The glare and flippant remark was all I could deal with. Nothing was requested of Terrance for free because nothing in life is free. I wasn't going to be ripped off and lied to either. Anything extra I needed, I paid for because my home is an investment that I pride; I will not tolerate anyone disrespecting me or my home. All my work was completed by other contractors in a matter of days and my daughter's health is now improving. I didn't hear any complaining from the contractors I hired, just saw work and results; my home is restored to like new. God worked it all out for me. read more

Each member of the crew showed up in mask. They were super friendly and easy to work with. Randy came first to access the damage and to try to get red cross to help with finding shelter due to damages. When the red cross couldn't help Randy paid a night's stay in a hotel foe my family out of his own pocket. Then he sent two electricians...1st was Mark who then referred Tony. Mark was super friendly and assured me Tony was the guy for the job. And boyy was he right! Tony came in and replaced breakers and sockets before I could blink. He was fast and efficient and walked me through everything he was doing. He also called GA Power to come back pit to put the meter back in because the repairs were complete. IF I could give them a negative star I would. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE. They practice entrapment and are pure liars. They lied and ROBBED ME of $1785+. My insurance company recommended them (USAA). I explained to the person, Dillion, that I don't need a painter if I have to come out of pocket to pay the company. He showed me a form showing my insurance company PAID FOR IT IN FULL. That was in Dec 2021. Fast forward. The ceiling paint looked HORRIBLE. I called them in February, and a guy came out and made the matter worst. My ceiling looked so tacky. These people are scammers. I called Paces out for a estimate and I received a call from Ethan once I spoke to him he was great. He explained that it would take him about a couple of days and he would have submitted the information to my insurance company. Once everything was done they sent out a project manager name Shane. I was weary of a guy coming out to assist me with my kitchen cabinets and flooring. Once I explained to him what I wanted he would always say okay and that his job was to make sure I was happy and that he didn't mean to pat himself on the back but he said that he was the best that the company had. Then he stated that he would need the entire check from my insurance company. I gave Gambino a sample of all the cabinets, flooring and backsplash that I wanted. Instead of checking out the price with the measurements that was done he went and purchased what he wanted me to have which was the cheapest he could find to save my money for him to get for himself after the project was done. Then about a week into the project he asked me to call my insurance adjuster and tell him that I needed to get more money because he was breaking even and he wanted more. Gambino was the only guy that would come to my home and do the work by himself. He did ok on painting my walls however he didn't finish it. I also had to Stop the work because after moving a counter top and looking at the water proof flooring that was put down. " Mind you I had ceramics flooring so once again Shane was going cheap with replacing the items that was supposed to be replaced." But oomph moving the sample counter top Gambino had put some 2x4 behind the cabinet to make it fit due to it was TOO SMALL FOR THE SPACE. I have more to say but long story short I had them to come out and REMOVE ALL OF THAT CHEAP STUFF THAT THERE BEST GUY TRIED TO COMPLETE MY KITCHEN WITH. Paces was excellent from response time, to communication, reliability, quality of work, and follow-up. I had water and mold issues in my 100 year old condo during the heavy rains this year. Their work on both the mitigation and construction was excellent! Where to begin? Last July my surge protector caught fire and did some damage around the house. Lots of smoke damage, but everything was fixable. All of my furnature from the dining & living room was taken to be cleaned. It took 3 solid months for me to get my furnature back, despite the fact all they were supposed to do was clean it from smoke damage. Once I finally got my furnature back, absolutely NOTHING was cleaned. They said they cleaned everything, but there was still obvious dust and smoke debris on it. They gave us back all of our stuff in boxes, extremely unorganized. They have it to where you pay per box, so obviously they used as many boxes possible, putting a few pictures in a 12x16 box. During the unpacking process, which was supposed to be for them, but we had to do, a vase of my mothers was broken. It was a gift, and rare to find, so basically irreplaceable. They didn't refund us for that. They also told us the outside of the house, where a limb had fell during the storm, had been repainted. Obviously it hadn't been, considering the paint samples from a few years ago were still there. They no-showed a handful of times for different things such as estimating the price of damage, time reports of when everything should be done, and other things. It took them up until the beginning of this year, so a solid 6 months, until everything was taken care of. Half of the stuff that was supposed to be taken care of and covered by Paces we had to do ourselves. Overall, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Paces contracting is the worst company I have ever encountered. I had storm damage to my House. USAA recommended this company. They ran in and put on a good show. The problem started when they sent the subcontractors out to my house to do an abatement demolition. They gutted out my house and stole every thing they could. Paces sent some illegal immigrants to my house and made my life miserable. Paces cloak for these type of people. After the thieves of Baghdad clean you out, Paces always say can you prove it. They send these people to your house to steal, this is how they compensate for their minimum wage salary they are paying them. I took a 50k+ contract from Paces and I am SO GLAD I DID. I rather let CRACK heads contract the job instead of them. Please, people do your research don't get screwed like I did these people can't be trusted from the head down. Smiling faces tell lies. Once they get your contract you will get "okey-doke". They will suck your insurance company dry and your house will look like a bird nest, but they will leave with a fat deep pockets. Return Customer! I called Paces back in 2018 after a series of bad storms hit that caused a tree to fall on part of my home and back deck. After being overwhelmed by the whole thing and not really sure who to call or what to do I asked my insurance company if there was anyone they recommended since you never really know who to trust. My insurance company recommended Paces. I called and spoke to a young lady at the office who was very informative and took all of my information down to schedule an appointment. I had a call back the same day and was so far impressed. From the time of that first call I had someone at my house the next morning to assess the damage and also that same day had someone placing a tarp over the top and down the side of my house. I wasn't even sure that something like that existed and wasn't even aware that it was necessary. The gentleman who came to assess the damage initially, explained the reason for the tarp because of additional weather later that week plus critters! I was so thankful for that. Fast forward about a week later, my insurance adjuster calls me back and asks if I was using Paces for the repairs on my home since they did the roof tarp already, I replied yes since I found it even more assuring that one company could deal with the whole process. It took about one month from the time the gentleman came to tarp til completion of the repairs which to me seemed impressive. Now the whole reason for this review is because although I was extremely blessed with the first experience I still felt the same after the second experience. I called Paces again last month for a very small project, I wasn't sure how inclined they would be to take it since I assumed it would be much less money and they might not have the same kind of time for me. I was wrong! I needed two windows replaced on the front of my house due to my lawn service a few months before and I wanted a quote on replacing and painting the shutters as well. I called after hours and left a voicemail since I tend to stay up a little later working from home. I had a call back the next morning! Again I felt relieved and was surprised to have a quick response again for this small job! I had a different estimator out this time but the same service as before. I was emailed a copy of the estimate within two days and had someone working on my house by the beginning of the following week. They had everything finished up in about two weeks this time due to the windows having to be ordered. I would encourage anyone who is overwhelmed the way I was the first time or just in need the way I was the second time to try them out, I am not normally someone to write a long review like this but these people are wonderful and truly due make you feel like your time is valuable and you are appreciated, and that is just to hard to find anymore. read more

We have a roof repair we needed. Paces came out and did an estimate. We have been trying to get them to come back and do the job for a month now. The contractor over our job, Tim Brown, refuses to do the work. We call, he says he will call back the next day and then a week goes by with no call. We call again, and the same thing happens. So we decided to call into the office. Apparently you can't. They have an "answering service" and they cannot help us. They just tell us to call Tim Brown, the man who refuses to help us. I have never seen a company with such poor service in my life. We are begging to pay them to come to our house and repair our home, yet they won't. Seems our money isn't good enough. I would like to file this complaint so other consumers know how this company works. They don't. read more
