I received a call on Friday saying my watch was all set, and the price is $180. Well I never received an estimate or ok'd the repair. Then I was told just come down and pick it up. Well my best friend has been a very good customer here for a lot of years and I didn't feel it was fair of me to just take it. I told them that I would pay what they deemed fair. $125 was the quote and I was happy with that. Thought it was fair. Went to pick up the watch and I just wanted to know what was done. Was told it got overhauled. That was the only explanation they could give. Also the crystal now has a scratch. They looked at me and said we've already given you a good price. I will never step foot into here ever again.

I felt awkward because I was there to ask if they could repair an unreplaceable pin, not to make an expensive purchase, but that feeling evaporated because the woman at the counter treated me, and my request, with respect and interest. She was knowledgeable as I related my request and reassuring that the jeweler would fix it if it was repairable. I left there knowing my pin was in good hands. This is a classic, yet modern, jewelry store - nothing like a generic mall store we've all been accustomed to. You can see it immediately in the offerings in the jewelry cases. I wasn't sure if they were open during covid but I popped by and was so pleasantly surprised that they were - they had safety procedures posted on the wall, the staff the welcoming when I walked in, and they were able to clean my ring on the spot at no charge. During the cleaning I was able to walk around the store and it seems like their collection is excellent. I wanted to share my two positive experiences over the last 5 year span. She asked the young lady in the back, I believe her name started with an M if it was doable to remove links. She said it was. I was asked if I wanted to leave the watch or come back. I opted to wait. I lack words to express how much my wife and I appreciate the service we received at Hefez…read moreyesterday. My wife will have surgery Friday and a few days ago the doctor said she must remove all of her rings, including one she had not taken off for years because of severe arthritis. We tried every remedy, cold, oil, WD40 and dental floss, but nothing worked. Already anxious about the surgery, this problem just seemed to be too much. Out of desperation, I suggested trying a jeweler and Hefez came up on Yelp. They answered my call, understood and sympathized with our problem and arranged a convenient time. On arrival Mr. Hefez (I assume he is the eponymous owner) found the right, obscure tool and spent 20 minutes patiently sawing off my wife's ring. He gathered and bagged for us the dust and a tiny diamond chip that fell off along with the ring. We are still worried about the surgery, but Hefez took an unnecessary stress off our shoulders. We are tremendously grateful. The store itself seemed to be a fine, local,family business, but what stood out to my wife and me was the warmth, care and thoughtfulness of the people working there.
