Most jewelers date their batteries with a marker and I believe he had as well, but he denied having done the replacement and refused to replace it. For the $1.00 or so, not more it had cost him, since he already had the watch open, the smart thing with respect to customer good will would have been to just put in a new one. But he wasn't smart enough to do that. However he is very shrewd and I think, dishonest. With respect to his incessant TV ads to sell you gold and Rolex watches there for cash, I would suggest you get other quotes on your gold/Rolex before going to Marquis Jewelers!

They have always given me fair deals and their super easy to deal with. You'd never know their store was even there, as they are not on the street level.
