I just wanted to share our very positive buying experience with Pacific Auto. Sergio was so curteous and helpful while we were browsing and test driving several vehicles...and the best part was that he did not pressure us or hover AT ALL for the entirety of our time there!!! Every car in the lot was immaculately clean and detailed...super impressive! We really fell in love with a certain Lexus, but wanted to shop around and see what else was out there. First let me say that I trade cars like the wind blows. My wife and I love to change our vehicles every year so leasing doesn't work. Once in a while if I have special car I'll sell it on Craigslist but usually I trade them in despite getting less value than I could for it. We shop all over and with 30+ purchases under our belt we consider ourselves quite adept at identifying good car dealers vs bad. I can unequivocally say that Bruce and Nader at Pacific Auto are two of the best and classiest guys I've dealt with in the car biz. The experience is positive from the moment you walk on and are greeted with a helpful, no-pressure attitude, to the test drive which you can enjoy alone (this is rare) and is capped off with a great price, incredibly fair trade value, and a pleasurable signing experience. I have sympathy for some of the others. Believe me, I've been burned on used car purchases before but one must remember, it is a USED car and of course it should be checked out independently, which these guys are happy to give you the time to do. It is not right to blame the people running a quality operation for the failings of cars that are in fact USED and have unpredictable outcomes. Cars break down, that's what they do! Yelp is for reviewing the business and how they serve you, not complaining about a particular car. In one case here it's stated that Pacific Auto gave an incredible deal. And in another, they took back a car weeks after it was sold, and was driven for presumably hundreds or more miles. This is true CLASS because no dealership ever has to take back a car, read the law. A lemon sure, but not a car that drove off the lot just fine but weeks later and after unknown driving conditions or abuse comes back to them. The fact that Nader and Bruce took back the car reminds me why I travel so far to keep my business with these guys. Even though I no longer live in the area we just made our 4th purchase from Pacific Auto. I bought my first from them over 15 years ago. Had to replace my car after an accident and went in to Pacific Auto to look around. Excellant selection of cars and all very clean. Sergio helped us and even turned the engine on to use the AC to cool off the car before I sat in it as it was a really hot day. No Stars if possible. I drove there from the East Bay Area to look at a 4x4 Excursion. Nader (the Owner) met me there and offered to let me test drive. I started it up, needless to say it didn't start or run well. After the diesel engine warmed up, it smoothed out and off I went. I noticed it had a loss of power and when I tested the 4x4 (backing up a dirt incline) the back tires spun. I returned to the dealer dissatisfied with the vehicles operation. I notified the salesman and he said his mechanic would look at it right away. I returned the following morning to get a cold start of the diesel engine. Nader met me again and said his mechanic checked the 4x4 and engine and everything is working now. I drove it again, tested the 4x4, still broken. I returned to the dealer and confronted Nader, he said he'll ask his mechanic. I said I didn't appreciate being lied to especially with the long distance drive to buy the vehicle. He said they weren't lying to me and that he's "not going to sell the truck to you". I said I'm sure you'll find some sucker to buy it. I left. Buyer Beware. I bought a car for my daughter on 5/21/16 (Sat). First I'd like to say, there is no pressure at this place. I noticed the car on their lot on Thursday afternoon. I talked to Nadar, called Friday morning asked if I could drive the car to my daughters school, take her to lunch and test drive the car. Nadar said of course come and get it. He just took a copy of my license and handed me the keys to the car and off I went. I am very leary about used lots, but I did my research on fb and asked about Pacific Auto on a local page with over 4k members. So many people recommended Pacific Auto after many yrs of purchasing cars and repeat buying experiences. Thats why I decided to give them a try. The car was very clean for an 03 Vibe and it ran so nice. My daughter was eh not so thrilled because we had looked at so many cars. She just assumed if she liked it, we would turn it down because of something wrong with it. I asked Nadar if I can take it to my mechanic and he said sure and whatever he finds he will fix. So I got up early on Saturday, got my daughter and off we went to Pacific Auto. Nadar handed me the keys and waved buh bye and off we went. My mechanic wasn't there so we had to wait. This was my opportunity to warm up my daughter to the car, we went to get a coffee and walked around the car and looked closer. It was a very clean vehicle and very cute, she fell in love with it. So off to the mechanic. I got a clean bill of health from him. I then drove the car to my house and picked up the hubby, he drove it on the freeway and back to Pacific Auto. We purchased it on the spot. Nadar offers a 30 day 1,000 mile warranty on all his cars, pretty much bumper to bumper coverage on major stuff. He told me even if I find something wrong after I purchase it, in that warranty time frame, he will cover it. Whether it's engine, transmission, electrical...it's a long list. I have never heard of such a thing. Well my car had recalls so we had those done in Roseville, and while it was in the shop I asked the large dealership to look at the car, since I just purchased it. They couldn't believe how clean this car is for its age and how well it runs. I actually took the car to a total of 3 mechanics and they all said it had a clean bill of health. Well they did find minor things but nothing major. The car is 13yrs old, you have to expect some stuff but all were minor. I have never bought a car with such ease, I will be looking at Pacific Auto for my next purchase. I have a 13yr old who will be driving eventually. Oh I forgot to mention I did have a carfax done on the car. Also, there was a minor repair on the driver door where a panel was missing a clip, so it was loose. Nadar took care of me, he ordered the part and his mechanic fixed it at no cost to me. While waiting I noticed their paint guy beautifying the cars. I asked Bruce the other guy who works at Pacific Auto and a nice guy too, if the paint guy can touch up my car. Bruce authorized it and the paint guy went around the whole car and touched it up. ***ONLY GETTING ONE STAR BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO PUT ONE!*** I called this dealership after finding a car that had been online for 257 DAYS. The price had already been lowered a few grand and the car was OBVIOUSLY not selling. When talking to them I had informed them of my credit which wasn't the best nor the worst and my location (being 4 hours away). These people came off to be awesome and I was so excited to finally be in contact with people I thought were genuine. They were helpful with getting my application submitted for a loan approval but after 2 WEEKS of my initial interest in the car I called back asking for an update. Sergio was very helpful when informing me that with the COVID-19 pandemic happening I must have slipped through the cracks. I understood as I know how hectic times have been as I work at a hospital. He apologized and submit my application to another bank. He got back with me the same day with an approval. I told him I would call him the next day as I would need to discuss finances with my boyfriend but I was very prominent in wanting this car. I called the dealership back as I said I would with an answer (which was YES) at 11:00. I asked what I needed to bring and what the hours were for tomorrow (Sunday) which would be when I would arrive to get the car. He informed me that he would be in contact with me regarding if his coworker would be there because they were possibly closed on Sundays. He called me back at 3:00. He informed me that his coworker sold the car THE SAME DAY to a cash buyer. YEAH F***ING RIGHT. What a coincidence. I'm sorry but the communication is GARBAGE here and my credit took an unnecessary hard inquiry. They didn't seem to care and for 2 WEEKS they knew I was going to buy it if approved. I personally believe the whole thing was a complete lie because when Sergio called to inform me of my approval he happened to mention "Selling you the car... we are actually losing money" What kind of salesman says that to a potential buyer? Buying a car here is easy. At first their customer service was great. We bought a car from Pacific Auto in April. Within 2 two weeks we knew something was wrong and had the car looked at by a mechanic. The exhaust manifold was completely cracked. We took the car back and they said they would have their mechanic fix it. Three days later we got the car back but it was always kinda loud. We thought maybe this car was just louder than our other car and we took Pacific Autos word that the problem was fixed. 6 months later..... it turns out the reason the exhaust manifold was cracked is because the catalytic converter was clogged and now the manifold is broken again. This means exhaust and carbon monoxide has been seeping into the cabin of my car for 6 months. THE CAR MY KIDS RIDE IN DAILY!!!! Not only did Pacific Auto fail to fix the complete problem, they damaged it more by stripping the inside screws and they left it with studs held in by nuts on both sides. On top of that where they should have replaced 4 screws, they only put 2 studs. And these people at Pacific Auto wont do a damn thing to right the fact that they sell crappy cars and their mechanic does substandard and potentially deadly work. Please please please spread the word that this dealership only card about money and human life means nothing to them. I have to pay $1940.00 to right their wrong but at least I know my family will be safe. read more

I purchased a volvo cross country wagon from pacific auto on 12/10/13. Before I purchased the vehicle I was assured by the owner Nader Zaker that this vehicle had undergone a safety inspection and was a safe vehicle to purchase. Upon purchase I was told I had 30 days to find and report any problems with the vehicle. After only two weeks the car had a violent shaking in the front end, and the check engine light came on. I took it to my mechanic because the shake was so bad I was not able to safely drive it back to the dealership. What my mechanic found was appalling! It had two broken axles! This is Very dangerous! He also found that the Drive-line boot was so bad that it needed a new drive-line, the turbo was blowing oil so bad it needed to be replaced, the transfer case needed to be resealed, and the oil change was over due. All in all my mechanic could not believe the condition this vehicle had been sold in! I contacted Nader and told him the car had two broken axles and was unsafe! I asked him to take the car back and he refused he said I could fix it myself he would send me a check for $500 (not enough for both axles) and then I could sell the car to someone else! I had the axles repaired because I had to it was my only car and the rental was costing a fortune. When I picked up the car the mechanic told me I need to contact a lawyer that it was illegal for a dealer to sell a "deathtrap" with two broken axles! So I contacted my lawyer and sure enough she told me it is their responsibility to sell a safe car and do a safety inspection. I called Nader back and after threatening legal action he agreed to take the car back, however he said he is not going to pay for the repairs I had to do as he had agreed. I brought the car back and sure enough they where extremely rude to me (after selling me a car that could have killed me!) and they did not give me my $448.98 I put into the car at their request. Now I am out $448.98 plus almost $200 for the rental while it was in the shop. This is wrong! read more

Terrible dealership. Do not waste your time with these guys. Filled out a form online with my offer, received a call from Bruce. Called him back and he basically didn't even acknowledge my offer. So I go up to check it out and it took forever for him to even come out and acknowledge me as a customer. Kbb had a fair asking price of 13500-15000 and they were asking 16999 for it. After explaining that fair asking price was 13-15k he decided to go down to 15999. After inspecting the SUV, I noticed a lot of paint chips and scratches that were painted over with a non color matched paint color to try to hide everything. Also the skid plate on the bottom was damaged and he basically dismissed my concern. I sent an email over to him to see if the 4runner was still available and to get a Carfax report since he didn't even offer one when I visited the lot and my email went completely ignored. So now I made the 35 minute trip to check if it was still here since I STILL planned on buying it tomorrow even after all this, and of course it's been sold and he doesn't have the decency to let me know. Never buy a car here! We bought a car here in March and have had to put over $4500 into since then (less than six months).

We stopped in to check out a 4runner priced at 16.9k. I asked Bruce where they purchased the vehicle from and he told me they bought in from the Toyota dealer for a good price because it needed work and that his shop could perform the needed repairs for cheaper. (red flag #1) I asked him if he had anything from Toyota stating the repairs it needed or repairs made he said NO ( red flag #2) After looking over the truck I noticed a small oil leak coming from the timing chain cover (common) on the passenger side after I pointed It out to Bruce he brushed it off as an old leak that was most likely fixed (red flag #3) after a few more minutes he offered the warranty of 1 month or 1000 mile to replace any leaking gasket if it was leaking at all, although I doubt this job would have been accomplished because he failed to acknowledge that there was even an oil leak . He then offered for me to go see his mechanic while calling/speaking to his mechanic to notify him I was coming down he told his mechanic I was bring by a car so he could look at a "residual" oil leak.(red flag #4) so I test drove the car to his mechanic his mechanic eye balled it for about 30 sec and came up with "that's where they missed when they steam cleaned the engine" and I said No its fresh oil...he then said it was gunk/dust from the belt. after I told him I wasn't buying that he then said it was an old oil leak (go figure). once I brought the car back to the lot I met with Bruce I asked Bruce if I could bring the car to Toyota dealer and pay to have it inspected by them he said "sure not a problem" followed up quickly by a " just to let you know it is a used car and you can take it anywhere and they will give you a list a mile high of whats wrong" ( red flag #5). He kept referring to the oil leak as one that might not even be there or that its old and fixed . After looking at the Carfax the car had been serviced by Toyota from day 1 although there was NO service record found for a fixed oil leak. Bottom line is my family owned an auto shop in downtown Sacramento for 40 years (Howard and sons Automotive) I have been mechanic for 15 years and this car was leaking oil from the timing chain cover area and most likely from the timing chain cover itself. To fix this issue the cost would be about $2000-2400. Bruce knew it, I knew it. he was just trying to take advantage of someone he under estimated. I look forward to a response. read more
