She even said, it's easier to teach children and while this may be factual the context of the comment had a negative impact to the hearer. Her price point was fair, the pool is small and not deep so difficult to learn things like treading water etc... great location in Rockwall and she was oddly pleasant what i mean is she seemed a bit uncomfortable I'm not sure if this is her innate demeanor or she was uncomfortable around specific types of people, not certain just and observation.

We love Ann's Swim Class! Some of the things we like:…read more -Lessons are semi-private, meaning there are only 2 kids in the class. -Classes are held in a private residential pool that is clean and shaded. -There are three different seating areas where parents/families can sit to watch the lesson. At least one area is always in the shade. -We work with Kale. Since he is also a school teacher, he understands how to be calm and encouraging, yet firm and disciplined. We have never had Anne as our instructor, but she handles the business end of it, and has always been friendly and organized. I think very highly of their character. -Students swim for the ENTIRE thirty minutes. They never waste time sitting on the step waiting for someone else to take a turn. ***This is very different from the large swim school we tried last year. The classes were so big that only 10-15 minutes was spent swimming. The rest of the time was spent sitting on the step waiting for the other kids to take their turns. - While the instructor (Kale) works with one child privately, he gives the other child an assignment or task to work on independently. Examples of independent tasks for a beginner: putting face underwater on the step to grab fish; wearing a flotation device to practice scooping; and using a barbell to kick from one side of the pool to the other. -The price is very reasonable. It only cost $10 more for a semi-private class here (only 2 students in the class) than a group class with 6 students at a large swim school. Worth it.

Finding affordable summer swimming lessons for kids has become increasingly difficult over the…read moreyears. In the past I have tried to secure a spot at the Flower Mound CAC, but signing up on their website is akin to buying concert tickets. As soon as registration opens you have about a nanosecond to hit the button or you're out of luck. It doesn't help that the pool of lifeguards (pun intended!) keeps shrinking every year resulting in fewer classes. Just as I was ready to give up my search and throw in the towel (pun intended again!) I discovered Lakeside Aquatic Club. Their classes are held year round at the LISD natatorium/Westside Aquatic Center. It's an indoor facility so parents can watch comfortably out of the unforgiving Texas weather. Also, the cost is comparable to the CAC, which is far less than what the local swim schools charge. Students are divided into small groups according to their skill level so they get lots of individual attention. The instructors are experienced and have so much patience with the kids. I also appreciate how quick and concise the communication is. Any time your child advances to the next level by acquiring new skills they will notify you by email the same day. Not only did my son learn a great deal over the summer, he enjoyed every minute of it. I will be happy to enroll him in future classes here, especially without the stress of having to spam the button to be the first in line!

His coach Coach Chrissy is incredible. She's both tough and understanding, and just gets through to these kids. His former coaches Coach Tony and Coach Leslie have all been great as well. We have such supportive families and the kids learn from that! My son swam both club and summer league when we lived up north and neither program compared to what you get from LAC. While the competition can be tough, it's very positive and there is such a great comradely among the kids. In fact, my younger daughter (7) that grew up at pool and said she would never be on a swim team, signed up with LAC in October. She went through the Red and Black teams with Coach Sam. He is perfect for the littles!! She's now in the Bronze group with Coach Leslie and it's so awesome to see her move through the team so quickly with such strong technique. This team is huge but it's an amazing family! As our third swim team experience it knocks the socks off all the others. Thanks LAC for having a great team and great coaches!

No matter whatever our frustration, there won't be any response. Account will be charged promptly though we specifically say not to charge on a special circumstances and informing it well in advance. Once charged, money is gone, there won't be any response or correction. There won't be any course completion certificates or any other recognition. I was after the staff and customer center for 3 months for a certificate and there is always postponement and finally a black white paper with level completion certificate instead of course completion. Ridiculous. Try elsewhere or keep kids at home instead of wasting both time and money.

First of all the person who enrolls either has no information or not is sync with the sales folks. Sales person told me that, If I pay upfront for 5 months then 6th month fee will be free. the front desk leady had no idea about it and said that it will happen automatically. Two payment cycles has passed and I don't think how it will happen AUTOMATICALLY now. Secondly, they have a really bad place for the swimming lesson. They can use just one lane in the entire pool(as it is rented) and it is used by at least 7-8 kinds and 2 trainers at a time. I have seen kids banging their heads while swimming in opposite direction. Trial class was given with a different trainer but we could not find the same trainer again. Seems like they are fishing for the customers using one trainer while using others for actual classes. My daughter fell and hurt her knees this evening therefore we called to check if we can get a makeup class. We received a call back asking for a doctor letter for bruised legs to get a make up class. Who does THAT?? She wanted me to spend 40-50 $$ on a Doc visit for a bruise to get a makeup class REALLY?? Now comes the worst part BILLING. In a single month I have been billed twice. Need to get in line with their customer care(if they have one??) to get the details why they charged me twice in a single month. I am Withdrawing my daughter from the classes right now. Writing this review to make others aware of their bad practices and poor ethics. Please don't enroll your kinds here, really bad place.

I had my reservations that anyone would be able to break my eldest of her extreme fear of water or my youngest of her timidity. But, with her patience and persistence, Ms. Paige had them enjoying the water in no time! We have been swimming year-round with her for the past three years. Not because my children haven't learned how to swim, but because the LOVE it! Paige is unique in that she teaches each child as an individual, working with their own personality style and skill level. Over the years I have seen her interact with many different children. She has a gift with special needs kids. She can accomodate unusual requests, like blending groups of swimmers so that siblings and friends can be in the same class, if desired. To me, learning to swim is as important as wearing a seat belt. It is a life-saving skill every child needs to learn. Ms. Paige will not only teach your child how to stay safe around water, but she will teach him/her to love swimming.

She is gentle and takes each child's fears and needs into consideration when teaching. She was able to take my "fear of the water" kiddo and turn him into a kid that swims the length of the pool! I would highly recommend Paige if you are looking for a place to get your kids in the pool.
