I highly recommend BrightLight Preschool! My two boys are very happy there and I can see a difference in their development since joining. I love being "in the know" with what they're working on; the school does a great job with letting parents know what the monthly curriculum is focussing on and real-time updates of your children. Diaper changes, food, play time pictures... Art projects... All of that is shared with us so we know exactly what and how they're doing. I just lasted a week in this "preschool" which I say it's more like a daycare. Upon agreeing to everything, yes, kiddos had an inconsistent teacher because of obvious reasons: the management is horrid, the treatment of employees was unfair in my opinion, and they throw kids into your classroom that aren't even yours (failed to tell me that I would have to do this), the ratio teacher to students is horrible. This is WHY the turnover rate is so high! Let me tell you, I even had PARENTS tell me how unfair it was for us to have that many kids in our care. I even had my PARENTS help me because it was too much. When I was doing my training which just consisted of a packet to fill and a notebook with information. Not ONCE was I asked if I wanted a flat surface to do my work on, instead, I used my lap. Not ONCE was I checked on, with a simple, "how are things going, is there a way to make things easier for you to transition," OR "I know this is a lot right now, but you're doing a GREAT JOB."As a Christian Preschool, there is a BIG disconnect between the two. I was also "expected" to know where things were. I was NEVER formally introduced in depth to the building or to the second person in charge which gave me an attitude and the person training to EXPECT to know where it was when we had trash full of dirty diapers (did they just expect us to stink up the classroom? ), for instance, the janitor. I was NOT properly trained. There were criteria but how can you do it in the RIGHT state of mind when you have to get to know OTHER kids? There's a reason why teachers quit. I've been in child care and behavior therapy for children with Autism and this is the worst experience I've ever had. She pretty much told me "childcare isn't for everyone," no, you don't treat your employees unfairly in childcare. Through a grapevine parents from the church wouldn't ENROLL THEIR KIDS THERE. PROS: - The staff was nice - Children were sweet CONS: - Management 100% - UNSAFE playground entry gate (broken) in a second someone can walk in or the kiddo can walk out - Late lunches - Communication between manager and staff is horrible - Disgusting toilets - Unfair ratio requirements - * YOU DON'T leave the time agreed upon (seems like for the most part) - No medical, vision, dental, no maternity leave - Minimum wage if resign without 2 weeks THINK ABOUT IT FIRST! This is the first time my children have been to preschool. One is 14 months and the other is almost 3. They both have some separation anxiety but the teachers are so caring and loving towards them both! They have developed great relationships with their teachers and have made friends. My son is especially flourishing in the environment! His speech and comprehension are growing beyond belief. He started potty training the day before enrolling and they were amazing at keeping him on track. He potty trained accident free within two weeks! My daughter is also growing so much in independent ability and always looks like she is having a great time in the pictures posted. They also teach the babies and infants sign language which I appreciate because I have been teaching her at home and it's nice for the reinforcement at school. I've read some bad reviews about this place and most of them are from when the last director was there, who I never knew. The director they have now is so kind and understanding and I can tell is truly trying to turn around all the bad reviews I've seen. My experience has been nothing but great here! I'm posting my review here as the school deleted mine off the google reviews page: Think before enrolling and listen to your children! The look of this place is so inviting but the nightmare starts after enrollment. My kids would scream going to class and be in horrible moods at pick up, they dreaded going to class. I later found bruises on ears and body parts with no explanation? I was refused camera footage multiple times. I was called at work on a weekly basis with my children in the office "introuble" by Susanna the director. My child was pegged at the "bad kid" in his three year old room and began calling himself "a bad one" at home, heartbreaking is an understatement. In one video on the app I received my child was excluded from a birthday celebration forced to sit and watch other kids eat their cupcakes and juice while he was given goldfish and water..I left work and picked him up immediately. For grown adults applying for jobs as leaders and teachers of children I am DISGUSTED. Keep your kids away, a teacher was also fired for cruel unusual punishment while my children were enrolled and I was never informed. STAY AWAY. My children are since enrolled at a center weee I have 0 problems, they go in with a smile and are welcomed with hugs and they leave with a smile again with goodbye hugs!! It's hard to find a place to love your child like you do but it is out there and it will not be from this place! read more

My 4 year old is doing awesome at Bright Light. I know she is loved on and cared for everyday! I am thankful for the peace of mind I have when I drop her off at School every morning. Her teachers provide frequent updates of how she is doing, it has been excellent for her! I am very grateful! read more

I have three of our boys at this daycare! Moving in the middle of the pandemic, and keeping them at home for the past year and half, I was nervous at first to drop my boys off, but after their first week, THEY LOVED IT!! They are learning so much and I enjoy getting their daily photos that we get to review before bedtime together. They keep to CDC guidelines per the pandemic we are currently in, and I know they are safe, learning something new, and having fun!! read more

So first i want to start off by saying that the teachers at this school are very hit or miss. My child was enrolled here for about10 months and their staff was like a revolving door, never knew what teachers would all of a sudden quit (or get fired). One of the main reasons we pulled my child out is A. We were moving, but also B. I found one of her teachers mugshots online. Thankfully, she was fired from the school, however we were never informed on the situation up front. It wouldn't have been a huge deal, but it was an incident involving a child. The next thing is, our child would come home completely filthy a lot of the time. I'm talking food ALL over her shirt and pants, which I did address at the time. Unfortunately it kept happening sometimes. We send extra clothes for a reason. Check out their TX DFPS licensing page online, that'll give you a clue about your child's time here. Some pros, however, with this school are that the new assistant director, Kelly, was very nice. We liked that they provided meals, and we also liked the App so we could see pictures. Compared to other schools and my child's schedule, the prices were about average. They've had a lot of changes over the last year but hopefully they can get it together fully. read more
