I did end up finding a used vehicle via private party though having the owner reach out to me personally regarding the situation and how humbly he handled it- I give kiddos to him as there aren't many used dealerships anymore with this kind of customer service.

Fortunately the nearby dealer in Klamath Falls is professional, well stocked, priced reasonable, and staffed by trained sales staff so we purchased our vehicle from them.
