Looking for a plot for parents in shared urn. We were show sites available on a map and we selected one. Our jaws dropped when we were told it would be $57,000 dollars. We said yes! We selected a head stone (in the ground). Three months later we were notified it was ready. We were informed our parents urn would be placed in a concrete vault and sealed. They asked for urn dimensions which we provided. The day of the burial the urn would not fit in the concrete vault so they just turned the urn sideways and sealed. Our parents are on their sides! The lid barley fit and the seal had gaps. We were in shock! But just so tired we all just walked away after the service. The manger who is horrible called to tell us that sometimes happens. My mom and I were visiting my dad's site and Marco, who works there helped us clean up our marker and made it look really nice. He spoke to my elderly mom in Japanese and he was very kind and I really appreciate him taking time to help us out. It's a nice quiet place to visit and welcoming. read more

Attended a service this afternoon at this cemetery. The venue is lovely, grounds are beautiful. well maintained..... but the service was a nightmare. We laid a dear friend to rest, and the staff were bossy, pushy and demanding of us as patrons. Tried to run the service like a well oiled machine with zero empathy. One staff member waved our friend's military cap around like a pointing tool for ten minutes, after removing it without care from the casket. Our friend was a veteran, and instead of having actual honors, the flag was brought out without ceremony by the employee in charge (in a flag bag) and handed to one of us for OUR presenting to the family. We were then directed like kids to file in and perform with direct placement of the flowers.... I think most adults understand how this works. We didn't need a lecture. Oh, it gets better! hold onto your hats... when they went to lower the casket into the sarcophagus, it slipped and crashed feet first into the case. the four men proceeded to shove the head of it to force it back into position --- in front of all of us. After a couple minutes of fighting it, it crashed with a thud, and a tractor hauled over the lid. No apology, no care. no nothing. Meanwhile we all stood there in horror.... family in silence, us in shock. The employee in charge then looked at us once the lid was on and said "well, that's the end of the service folks. Thanks for attending and have a great rest of your day!". like WTF? I'd give it ZERO stars if that was feasible. What a mess. I feel horrible for the family having to witness the mistreatment of their loved one, and i will never un-see what I saw today. 10/10 do NOT go here. read more

My wonderful wife has been here for 6 years now and I visit frequently. The nice support I frequently get is from MARCO, an employee, who always says hi and then asks if there is anything I would like him to help me with! MARCO is always friendly and wants to be helpful without me requesting it- because everything always has been well cared for it seems to me! Today I came to put some flowers on my parent's grave. A very nice worker, Marco, was so kind and cleaned the marker and dug out all the grass growing around it. He didn't have to go out of his way to do this, but he did. Thank you Marco so much! read more

My little sister, who never left the hospital, is in an unmarked grave there. But they have record of her. It's likely the only record of her anywhere. So, five stars, not for the simple and pretty grounds, but for the record keeping 50 years later. It's sad I never had the chance to fart on her head. Maybe in Heaven. read more

This is for the employees there. I was there waiting for a funeral to show up. Some male showed up and he didn't sit right with me . As he walked row by row he got closer and asked me if he could look for his friend nearby I said um ok sure ? The funeral hadn't arrived yet but some employees came and asked him to be respectful and wait till after the funeral. He was not happy with this and seemed a little mentally unstable. The employees handled him with utmost respect even tho he was being rude and moving chairs and trying to find his supposed friend. Even RBPD showed up so quick to make sure he left the property thank you to your employees and RBPD for keeping their calm and cool!!! read more

My Grandparents and Brother are buried at Pacific Crest. I have been going there for 55 years and grew up a block away. It has always been in the background of my life. Until recently, I never considered being interred there. It just wasn't important to me. (I was going to be cremated, then thrown somewhere, I really didn't care.) Then I attended another funeral there, and it hit me. Why not here? It's in my beloved Redondo and my family is there. . We met with a Funeral Director named Kavina. We looked at what is available and decided upon the location my spouse and I are to be placed. I can't say we are looking forward to it, but I can say Kavina was very understanding, helpful, and I can't imagine our cremains being anywhere else in perpetuity. read more

My mother recently passed away in September. As of my visit to her and my father's grave at Thanksgiving I noticed the headstone wasn't there. Upon inquiring, I was told it hadn't been sent out yet for the engraving. And instead of apologizing and sending it out right away, I was told my family hadn't properly filled out the correct paperwork. But was taken. Upon investigation it was discovered we were never given the proper paperwork. Instead of discovering this on their own, I had to inform them of it. Pacific Crest doesn't have a process of properly closing files. It is now 12/20 and I continue to not have calls returned as promised and just truly poor customer service. I can't at all recommend this cemetery. read more

Very poor service as far as providing a Marker for my decreased Mom. I have been waiting 5 months for moms paid marker.

We used this cemetery for my fathers passing almost 7 years ago and everything was amazing! Not so much this time around when my sister passed. Everything has been unorganized no one seems to know what is happening everyone passes the blame game buck! At the end of the day my sister was buried there over two months ago coming up on 3 months and they have yet to install her marker and have any type of updates! So disrespectful to my sister and family my poor 80 year old mother is dishonored every time she visits my sister's unmarked grave! Quick to collect payment and never get the job done!!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My grandma passed 9ver 2 years ago in the prime of covid and weren't able to have a funeral that she was deserving of. We faithful visited weekly and just recently have been so saddened by the lack of empathy and compassion that not only does the staff have but the "grounds keeper " when we first put my grandma to rest we were told that a neighbor was the one who closed the cemetery down roughly around 6 o'clock to give those who work later to have time to come. That not the case now. If you aren't on the grounds by 4:30 you are SOL. Which for someone like me who works for a hospital and isn't off until 4:30 is now not only rushing with the potential of harming myself but others on the road just to be told "you have 2 mins." All joke aside I hope none of this staff ends up in my hospital. They will be treated just as my family and I have been treated. With very little compassion and empathy. read more

This is a lovely spot, very conveniently located. I've never had contact with the staff, so I cannot comment on the service. The grounds are well maintained and there is a circular driveway which is very convenient for getting in and out. read more

I saw a recently taken picture of my Great Uncle Roy Sylvester Ackley. He is buried in the Pacific Mausoleum, West Alcove, 104, Marble. I was a little shocked to see pieces of tape holding tiles up. Please fix this asap. It seems it would be a safety violation and you could be sued if that tape gives way and it hurts someone. A lovely old cemetery in the heart of Redondo Beach. I was seeking the site of my great-grandparents and from the office gal to grounds keep Lalo, they could not be more friendly or helpful. It is always a pleasure to meet people in the funeral industry that truly care and people like Lalo, really do.
