Pacific Exteriors was one of the few siding companies willing to side and paint our house. The southeast facing side of our house was pretty damaged from the sun. Forty years of direct sun had taken its toll on our cedar siding. The back side of our house and garage is protected and the cedar is in great shape. That's the part we wanted to paint. The crew who did the work did a great job and yes we have a new nice roof BUT the project manager was terrible with communication and didn't come to the job site once. He said they would start on a Tuesday but they came on a Monday and got started and stayed past 8pm which was loud and disruptive for our family. I contacted them in March to begin a small soffit project. Abraham sold me a soffit that was not one that they provided and it was a bit confusing after everything was installed. Ultimately, I was not satisfied with the material since it was not what was expected or advertised. It would have been helpful to see and feel the material samples of the soffit. They offered a discount if I signed the contract on the spot - which is a sales tactic I should have been wary of. Jason the project manager has been trying to help me finish this small project with their internal team. They still need to complete my project with the final vents they removed and Jason tried to remedy the incomplete look of the project by proposing they install board and batten to hide the seams of the soffit. I've been waiting over a month and still no new date is scheduled to complete the project. Initially, I was excited to support a local business and looked forward to doing more business with them. But at this time, I cannot recommend this company. read more

Pro- the siding looks great so far and the damage they did on the house, they had fixed. Cons- The crew left the job site a mess, Redbull cans in the driveway, garbage all over, they blocked our driveway because product was just haphazardly thrown out. First day on the job and they broke a water pipe because of the force used to remove the siding. They also ripped the internet out of the side of the house and when I called they said, "Well I told you that might happen". It could have been prevented by not letting it hang by cords off the side of the house. Jake the project manager was MIA and only showed up from time to time. They didn't clean up their product afterwards and then were upset with me when I moved it myself so that I could have access to my driveway. They still have not come back and installed items removed from the house. I'm really bummed. This was a LOT of money to spend and I wish another company would have gotten it. I got their name from a friend who initially had a good experience but then when I checked back- they had similar complaints as other people about incorrect window sizing etc. I honestly can't wait until I don't have to deal with them again. read more

Our project started off on a great note with Amador as our project manager and coming out to detail all the logistics of our multi-staged and multiple parts project. Amador took thorough notes, listed all the things we needed completed, and the steps that would take place throughout our project. Louis was the first worker to begin the project and his level of work and craftsmanship was the best we had on the project. The largest portion of our project (removing and replacing rotten siding on one side of the house) was completed with Louis and we were satisfied with the work; however, Louis became sick and did not ever return to the job site. At this point things took a turn for the worse and pretty much went downhill from here. After several days with no work being done and no communication taking place, I finally reached Amador and asked what was going on and if anyone else would be coming to complete the siding as well as all the other projects needing to take place culminating in the painting of the exterior of the house. This was to be the trend moving forward. After Louis left, we had numerous different crew members and I had to reach out to Amador for essentially all communication. Each subsequent worker or crew who arrived had to be re-apprised of the work needing to be done and often my husband or I were the ones to explain the work needing to be done as Amador did not arrive to show each new crew member what needed to be done. We had multiple walkthroughs to address the continued issues and low quality of work. A large portion of clean-up was done by my husband and I due to the low quality of clean-up or attention to detail in this area. In the "Start to Finish Guide" PE provides it states they will notify us of the crew needing to take the day off - this NEVER happened during the entirety of the project. Painting was the absolute worst portion of the project with multiple re-dos, rot painted over (this was discovered when we were walking around looking at the painting and my husband stuck his finger through a rotten board they had filled with caulk and then painted over) and having to be re-done, and low quality of work overall. You can look at certain portions of the house and see where no primer was applied (on raw lumber that had been replaced!) prior to painting and a second coat was never applied. The pre-wash and painting prep was paltry at best and our house basically received a light bath in preparation for paint, but no scraping of flaking/loose paint or true power-washing occurred. Amador became harder and harder to reach as the project progressed and at certain points I called the main office to try and talk to anyone to find out what was going on with our project. We also asked for an invoice with every payment request throughout the project, but this did not happen on a consistent basis until we stated we would not approve any further payments until invoices were provided and the work was detailed on what we were paying for. According to the "Start to Finish Guide" it states punch lists will be created to wrap up the project and then a final walk through and inspection. We had multiple punch lists and items on those lists were not completed to our satisfaction, despite Amador stating multiple times they would keep coming out to do the work until we were satisfied. After a final punch list was created there was never a final walk through to address anything. It felt like PE could not wait to wrap our project, collect their final payment, and move on. In the end if felt like we were a "small, low cost" project for them and once the largest portion of the project was done, the little projects were simple annoyances they couldn't be bothered to complete in a high-quality fashion. The work Pacific Exteriors provided is not at the standard we expected for what was advertised and originally shown to us. If we had to have additional work done or future work we will not use PE again and we will not recommend them to others seeking work on their home. read more

Pacific Exteriors came out to fix our siding and a few of our neighbors. They did such an amazing job and they were so quick and efficient! The planning process went very smooth. We emailed them, set up a time to meet with an estimator. From there we chose what material, pricing, etc and a rough estimate of dates due to material availability. From there we met with the project manager, Amador. He was informative, knowledgeable and provided great communication. The team that came out finished each house in about a day and a half. We're so lucky that they came out to replace the siding before the windstorm that happened about a week later. The siding made a huge difference and we're very thankful. The house looks great, so far the quality has made a huge difference as well since the siding is placed right at the master bedroom so we can hear the difference when it's windy. In this day where there are so many hit-and-run contractors/(renovation companies), resources are so expensive, and the level of contractor work you are sold VS the quality and craftsmanship you receive can drastically vary, I couldn't be happier with the decision I made to hire Pacific Exteriors to replace our exterior siding. The main reason behind my satisfaction is our Project Manager Joe Ray, and his on-site team. Joe went above and beyond to ensure I was informed of each process in a timely manner and more importantly, ALWAYS showed up IN PERSON to inspect work and make sure the quality was in place, and all my questions were answered. Whenever I had a concern, or question about any part of the work, Joe took the extra steps to thoroughly answer my questions in a clear and concise way, even when if I was *stubborn with any details. Having been an installer himself made Joe that much more of a trusted expert. Though there could be a little more clarity/consistency on how the design process works during the sales portion, Joe Ray, the installer crew, the great service the folks behind the desk provided, and the final product made me 110% satisfied. The pricing was very competitive to my surprise as well, especially with alll of the extra details added. Our home has also generated a substantial amount of positive feedback in the neighborhood. This process has been a nightmare. We are now over a year in and I still have tape and plastic over our bathroom windows. They have messed up four times now getting the right size and type of windows. At every step we have had issues. From the sales guy promising something to then have them say the price is double after signing a contract to constantly having to stay on top of my product manager to get anyone to address the issues remaining with their work, it has been a draining process. If you value your time and sanity, pick a competent company who can actually deliver on what they promise. read more

They resided my entire house with Hardie board. From what I observed they used the proper flashing behind the joints, and sealed with caulk where called for. They replaced a window, which in the end was about 1/8th of an inch short of where the previous window met the dry wall, I needed to caulk that. There was some damage to a railing around my front porch. We discussed it and they compensated me based upon the previous condition of the railing. It's been two years and it still looks great! read more

House was built more than 30 years ago and covered in EIFS siding and Pacific replaced it with James Hardie and metal siding. I have been meaning to leave a nice review for these folks for a while now. Pacific Exteriors replaced our tired old siding with high quality hardie plank last summer. Their quote came in enough below the other bids we requested that it was a no-brainer to choose them. The quality of their work was excellent. There were some communication lapses along the way, which was occasionally frustrating (but hey, when has working with a contractor ever been stress-free?). For example, one of our window screens was damaged, and it took several weeks to get it back, and when it was returned, part of the screen material had been stretched too tight in the frame, so the side of the screen was buckled inward and made it completely ineffective as a bug deflector. After another week of email back and forth, they came back to get it again and replaced it with a new screen that fit the window correctly. We also had an issue with water pooling from the fascia in our entry way, but they were able to send out someone to do the repair relatively quickly. They did not want to leave us feeling like there were any issues left untouched, and we truly appreciated that level of thoughtfulness. Lastly, we had some concerns with on-site safety on the part of the crew, which we addressed to the office manager after the project was completed, so I hope they will have taken measures to correct those issues since then. Overall though, I have no regrets that we worked with Pacific Exteriors--our house looks fantastic, and the recent home inspection we had done provided another boost to our confidence that the quality of their work was top notch. read more

It's taken me way too long to write this review, but we had Pacific Exteriors replace all of our siding and do all of the painting on our house this past summer during the insane heat wave. The guys were outstanding, our house looks awesome (literally all of our neighbors have come up to us and commented...I guess they were very happy to not have to look at our very dingy yellow siding any longer). The workers who came were nice, worked their butts off - and we are thrilled with how our home looks. Highly recommend. (only issue we had was with a third party contractor they were working with for picking out our paint colors - the woman we "worked" with was awful and we had better luck figuring out what we wanted on our own...but since that is another company I'm keeping the 5 star rating). read more

To put it bluntly, I had a terrible experience with Pacific Exteriors. The project was behind schedule, there was little attention to detail (things like the wrong windows being ordered and setting the project back months), and I had to fight every step of the way to get *anything* done. It became a running joke in my social circle that Pacific Exteriors was so bad at getting things done in a timely manner. There were rarely estimates given to when work would be done and I frequently got radio silence from my project manager. It got to the point where if I didn't text him to remind him my job existed, I got the feeling nothing would have been completed. Communication was a constant problem for both myself and the crew. They were frequently out of the loop and had the same complaints about a lack of responsiveness and scheduling. Pacific Exteriors theoretically prides itself on its attention to detail and positive customer experience, which is why when I was selecting from bids I went with them, despite the higher sticker price. For over $30,000 for a small house's siding job, the experience and end result I got was not worth it. After I expressed my dissatisfaction with their service, they were quick to respond (for once) that they wanted to come out and fix all the issues that were left. I gave them another chance to fix those issues, however after two months several problems (door not closing fully, shoddy paint job on the door, etc.) have not been addressed despite them sending several crews out. I've had a lot of work done on my house and I have never had *any* issues with other contractors finishing their work on time or having huge gaps in communication. From start to finish, it's been over a year since I signed the contract. Avoid this company. Go with *literally* anyone else. read more

I found Pacific Exteriors in the Best Pick Reports magazine that came in the mail, and chose them after meetings with all the other siding companies listed there. The price quoted was comparable to the other companies for siding, gutter, decking and painting. Work did not start on the scheduled week, but once work started, things progressed at a reasonable pace. Jason, our project manager, did a great job inspecting and getting things done. Unfortunately, as the days went on, the work became sloppy, and the workers had to come back to redo portions of siding they should have done right the first time. Just waiting for them to come back created delays, so the siding project took longer than anticipated. Luckily, the gutter and decking work was done fairly quickly, so the painters could finish up and complete the job. We are happy with the finished results, and would not hesitate to use them again, especially with Jason as the project manager. He was very diligent and professional, both before and after the project was completed, making sure things were done right. read more

Did not measure accurately, not once but 3 times for windows. That meant months and months worth of waiting. We had a honey bucket and dumpster and incomplete work for 6 months. Also folks just showed up. Never let us know when they would be there. Sometimes with the expectation that we would be there to let them in. Even more delays due to lack of communication. Left the interior window trim unfinished after having to install windows that were not the right size. 1 star because the guys that did the siding were wonderful. The second project manager was good but not enough to make up for the faults of the first. read more

I was truly quite taken aback by this company. HomeAdvisor matched me with them and after reading the reviews on HomeAdvisor, I thought they would be the perfect hire for my project. This was not the case. Their followup process was just horrible. They sent an email, basically claiming I contacted them for a free inspection/estimate. Nothing about the way I approached them made it seem as though I was expecting free services from them. Then in the email, they basically said the would not come/ were not interested in coming if my project didn't total at least $4,500. What a terrible thing to say to a perspective customer before even doing a proper followup call. Why would you offer to be giving "free estimates" but in reality be expecting a $4,500 retainer. It's just unprofessional. I work in this industry, I would never interact with a potential client in this manner. I am not going to let them work on my house, and I won't be using them for any of my clients or suggesting them to any of my other contracts. read more

Based in large part of positive review, we hired Pacific Exteriors to insulate and reside our home. Pros: The quote was reasonable, the final product was what was promised (we are very pleased), and, without exception, every interaction with the staff was friendly and courteous. I also appreciated their use of masks and ability to conduct all our meetings outside. Overall, what was promised was delivered. Cons: It took about 3 and a half months from signing the contract and making the down payment before our project began. Admittedly, this was during a pandemic, so keep that in mind. However, I received zero pro-active communications after signing the contract and making the first payment. Every interaction was a response to my initiative in asking if the materials were ordered, approximate dates, or at least how many other projects there were ahead of me. Simply calling us periodically to let us know we were not forgotten would have gone a long way toward assuaging my frustrations and concerns. This was a particular issue because we were needed to coordinate with another company for a separate project that would also need to set up shop in our yard. Once it started, the project went smoothly. However the property was never thoroughly cleaned at the end. After the project I spent at least 4 hours cleaning debris and bits of insulation from our yard (and more importantly, from our neighbor's yard). A minor irritation was that upon completion of the project the porta-potty, dumpster, and excess materials lingered on our property for a week or more. Knowing what I know now, would I hire them again? Maybe. As I said, the quality of the work was excellent and the price was fair, but the lack of communication and slowness to remove everything left something be to be desired. read more

We recently contracted Pacific Exteriors to remove and install soffits and gutters on our single family 1950's home in LFP. Since we recently had a new roof put on our house, venting was an important issue. While the choices are numerous, we had pine soffits installed to the entire house and the detached garage for consistency and a thin vent all around the house. While one doesn't normally fascinate on such a thing, the look is stunning and will last a long time we hope! Our gutters equally look sharp. They removed our ancient gutters and painted, replaced, and redirected our gutters in 1.5 days just before the heavy rains. Additionally they put in a dam to direct water to the gutters since our roof slope is unusual right at the front door - something we hadn't thought of. The painters were quick, punctual, efficient and they even touched up our window frames to match the facia boards! Due to some issues at the beginning of the project, the owner - David - personally got involved with our project. With his involvement the project was expedited to completion and exceeded our expectations. It was great to have an owner care about his clients and to get personally invested in individual projects. Ours was not a large job, but the care he took and his attention to detail to make our house look the way we envisioned, was most appreciated and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

Sale rep was great and worked with me on pricing for siding after job walk. PM (Michael) was outstanding from start to finish and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. The issue from me not being able to give 5 stars was due to poor communication from the main office. My project coordinator sent workers to my house to do siding punchiest without my consent. It alarmed me to see several workers waltzing into my backyard on camera while I was away and not expecting them. Luckily I did not have to involve the sheriffs office as I was able to quickly see what was going on. My neighbors were not impressed to say the least. Other issue, I elected to exercise my contract option and executed a change order to have Pac Ext do my painting. However, accounting submitted my final invoice to my loan company without verifying all work was completed. My loan was closed prematurely and I had to call the loan company to get it reversed or I would have had to get a new loan or pay out of pocket. Pac Ext made no attempt to correct the issue they caused and told me just go get a new loan or pay cash. read more

I got several bids for the project, and Pacific's was the most reasonable. They were flexible working with us on scheduling. Once they started, they worked nonstop six days a week to finish it up. The crew was polite and friendly, their work was meticulous, and they did a great job cleaning up each day. Joe, the project manager, was quick to respond to texts/calls and to handle any questions or issues I had during the work. Overall I was pleased with the job that Pacific Exteriors did on my home. They weren't the cheapest bid that I received, but the quality of the work met our expectations. The project managers and communication I received were less than satisfactory, and you have to stay on top of them as they don't monitor the work the subs are doing at all. Furthermore make sure you read your contract and re-verify the work that's to be completed. Also, they are quite busy and it took over 90-days to start the job after it was contracted. Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT contract this company. After reading so many great reviews, we contracted them to change all siding of the house, paint the exterior of the house, replaced the gutters, and replace all the windows. They have taking several months to have the project completed (it is not completed yet, they started in May saying it would take 2 weeks, it is October), they sent the wrong windows and have installed half of them incorrectly. We have been asking them to check the windows for the past 2 months, since they are not leveled, they won't close properly nor lock. The communication is very poor, the project manager schedules visits and doesn't show up, them he comes on a different day and time and expects us to be in the house to open the door. If you escalate, the next manager is very impatient and doesn't resolve anything. They failed every-single-time to cc me or my husband on the emails so we don't have clear visibility of the project. I wish I had never spent a dime with this company. I can't wait for my project to be done and never have to deal with them again. On top of all the problems, they always left garbage in front of my house, despite the multi requests for them to come take the debris out. I got a nail on my tired because they failed to clean after themselves. read more
