"Roof replacement" felt like the final boss of home ownership to-do's... Really wasn't looking forward to the stress, but working with Ferdi Exteriors and JD made it a lot easier. I did the due diligence of researching contractors (including through Yelp itself) and getting multiple quotes. Ferdi Exteriors was in my top three choices going into contacting folks based off the reviews prior. When I actually got talking to JD, his knowledge and care for what he wanted for our home shown through immediately. I hired Ferdi Construction for a large project in November of 2024. They replaced our 28 year old roof and also repainted the house exterior. Ferdi gets 5 stars for the end results. The house looks amazing now. JD (the owner) is an excellent communicator and truly thrives to deliver top notch customer service. He is direct and honest, thrives to deliver high quality work, and delivers on his promises. Ferdi Construction employees were polite and very hard working, and very good at their craft, and JD made sure to inspect their work and make the proper corrections where needed. I was impressed with the quality control that JD demonstrated during the final inspection. Every little minor imperfection was pointed out by him to his employees and properly addressed. Did everything go perfectly according to plan? No - it seldom does with large projects like this. The project took longer than we had planned to, but to be perfectly fair, the weather is largely to blame. Roofing and painting a house in the PNW in late November is always going to present a challenge. Yes, there were a couple of days where the staff was here for only half a day (presumably to work on another project), but given the ongoing weather challenges I cannot really complain much. We encountered a lot of rain after the roof was installed, so painting the exterior had to be put on hold, which only made it more difficult to complete given the colder wetter weather, frosty mornings, and shorter days. Working with a general contractor that communicates effectively, is highly professional, and is extremely well-organized is quire rare these days in my experience, so I'm glad that I accepted Ferdi Construction's bid. JD delivered on all promises without any unpleasant "surprises" that are common with many contractors. This company does extremely high quality work at a reasonable cost, using the highest quality materials available. JD takes pride in his work. There is good reason that Ferdi Construction is so highly rated on Yelp, and I feel that it is my duty to contribute to the well-deserved reviews. We had water infiltration through a section of our wood siding. I contacted multiple companies to inspect the siding, but only Ferdi Exterior's technician inspected the leak from the inside and outside to propose the most educated solution. I thought the quote they provided was detailed and cost-effective. JD answered all my questions and concerns promptly. Originally his roof specialist had repaired the roof damaged by the storm and after further inspection JD recommended replacing the roof and as he started the new roof he saw there was considerable damage to the layments and replaced all of it at a reasonable price and further more did work on the damaged sidings and interior as well all with reasonable price and in quick time. I amended this review after the business owner reached out to me over Yelp. I added a two stars because he seemed to have a different opinion about our interactions. He said that he told me that he did not have a crew and therefore could not provide a bid. I do not have any recollection of this interaction but I feel that I am a fair person and so, as a courtesy, I have given him two more stars for simply caring. My initial review may have intimated that we had a longer set of conversations than we actually did. I reached out to him after requesting bids on Yelp. The initial interactions were here on the messaging platform and then later, we exchanged several calls. I gave up on getting a bid from this company, after a few weeks. I do feel my time was wasted and that they could have been more transparent and upfront if they did not have any intention of following through with a bid, however, again, it is possible that in the rigmarole of my life, perhaps they did let me know they were not going to provide a bid, but I certainly don't have a record of it, and considering I was keeping records of each time I spoke with each contractor, I find it hard to accept that. I am not infallible however, so take my review with a grain of salt and accept that you might have a good experience or you might have one in line with mine. I do feel they dragged their feet and did I give up and look elsewhere. If you want someone to give you a bid on a siding job, apparently, they don't have crews available for certain project sizes or so I was told, so take that into account when you consider them. read more

We hired Ferdi Construction to replace and repaint our siding and renovate our deck. After getting quotes from several companies, we chose Ferdi because they offered the best price. What set Ferdi apart was the direct involvement of the owner, Junio. Unlike other companies where I interacted with estimators or project managers, I worked with Junio directly. He was often on-site, directing employees and even tackling some of the more challenging aspects of the project himself. Because he's both the owner and an experienced contractor, Junio was able to make quick decisions and accommodate our customized requests. For example, I wanted to add some rot protection to the deck but wasn't sure of the best approach. I explained my concerns to Junio, and he came up with a solution that I was happy with. Other companies struggled to meet this request, with some insisting on a complete (and much more expensive) deck rebuild. Throughout the project, I checked their work daily and reported any issues to Junio. He was always responsive, either fixing the problem or clearly explaining why it wasn't an issue. Junio and his staff were hard working, even working weekends. This was particularly helpful as it minimized the time I needed to take off work. We had leaks around the vents on our roof, and JD was quick to respond and was able to send a technician out before most other companies could even get someone out for a quote. The technician was able to show us pictures of what he was replacing to ensure we knew what we were paying for. The prices far beat the competition without sacrificing quality. It was also so nice being able to pay the invoice via Zelle instead of check, which is still an option if you want it. I also trust that JD won't try to oversell you. Even though they would benefit from replacing our roof earlier than later, they let us know that we still had quite a bit of life left in our old roof before it needed to be replaced. Our 25 year old roof needed to be replaced and our house was sorely in need of some repairs to gutters, trim, and siding and a new coat of paint. Having worked with Ferdi Construction in the past, I knew I could depend on them for a good price and quality workmanship. I got some other estimates and while they were not the lowest, Ferdi was in the ballpark of the middle ones. Given their past workmanship, I knew they would be dependable and do an excellent job, so I went with them. JD was great at communicating with me about what was going on, by text, phone and email. He always let me know when they would arrive and what to expect. The workmanship was excellent. And they thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. At the last minute, I decided I also wanted two windows replaced, and they did a great job of that as well, fixing areas that needed to be fixed as they went along, and keeping the inside of the house clean while they did it. I am posting this review in a couple of spots as Junio and Ferdi Construction deserve all the praise for a stellar job! Look no further for a roof company if you are in the Seattle area. Junio and his team were excellent. On a scale of 1-10, I give them a 100+. Junio came out to give me options on a new roof for rental house as it was on it's last leg. I went with a metal roof for durability and longevity. His prices were very reasonable and honestly I was budgeting higher for a metal roof. Junio went in depth on details of the process, project time, ordering metal, etc... I had to wait a little bit to get metal but that was not on Junio or Ferdi in general as it was the supplier. Junio let me know those details up front and was very transparent so that my expectations were set. While waiting on metal, Junio was in consistent contact with me giving me updates and staying on the supplier to get the metal delivered. Once metal was delivered, Junio's team was out next day and knocked out the roof within 48 hours which was very impressive considering they had to custom cut each piece of metal for roof. Junio and his team cleaned up all around the house for nails, metal scraps, etc.. like they were never there. I looked through many roofing companies online, read reviews, and decided on Ferdi construction and so glad that I did. They get a A+ from me on pricing, quality of work, and customer experience/satisfaction. No reason to spend hours doing research as I did. The snow had damaged our gutters by pulling them away from the house and needed to be repaired. The house was also a flip that had been significantly neglected/aspects poorly done in the flip. This lead to rotten facia boards, bad gutter angles and damaged inefficient water flow. Ferdi construction was great answering all my questions, there were very many, patiently and professionally. They were efficient and did good, quick work, fixed things that were not structural but looked bad and generally did a great job. Furthermore the laborers practiced good social distancing around myself and my daughter giving us wide breadth when we needed to come and go, which was especially important to our high risk house hold. I really can't say enough good things about JD and Ferdi Construction. I had them do a pretty huge project (both my roofing and siding), and the house looks absolutely fantastic. I got three bids from highly rated siding and roofing companies, and Ferdi's bid was very competitive. Additionally, as JD and I walked the house for the estimate, he pointed out areas of the house's previous fit and finish that would be upgraded by what they normally do during a job, such as adding trim around the rear windows that are often not trimmed during initial construction. He clearly cared about quality, and so with the competitive bid we went with them. JD had to work through the complexities of doing all of this work during a wet Seattle winter with extremely short days. They did a great job keeping us informed about timelines and were fantastically efficient. They kept the site clean and were very careful to not damage the property. They kept the work extremely non-disruptive - I was able to use the house the whole time, and they had a Honey Bucket to save both the workers and us from traffic in and out of the house. Throughout the job, JD kept in good communication and quickly addressed any minor things I brought up. At the end of the project, he asked for me to do a careful walkaround to point out literally anything I saw amiss, and they addressed them all. Also, one thing I really appreciated was how there was zero nickel and diming in the whole process. The invoices didn't magically balloon with add-ons and extra charges. What he quoted was what I paid, even doing work on a couple of things that weren't specifically called out in the contract. In the end, my neighbor ended up getting his roof done by Ferdi Construction at the same time because of the quality. What a great experience. Absolutely lowest bid out of a handful we got. Responsive except the day we had schedule they ran late and couldn't come (I'm sure it's an honest situation that could happen). The next day, I emailed at about 2pm and asked where they were. Turns out the weather was too bad to do it. I totally get it and the weather was bad but it put a little doubt in my head like wondering if they would show up the next day. The good news is that although there was some slippery issues on scheduling, I always got an immediate answer when I emailed. They agreed to come the next day. Showed up late but I did get communication when they were leaving the office so I got warning they were going to be late. The worker worked alone from 9:30-3:30ish. Seems like I got some long hours out of him. I wondered how I would know it was clean and when I got the bill that evening I also got pictures of the clean roof which looked amazing. I tried to pay on pay pal but somehow it got refunded to me immediately and I was asked to send a check. I liked having people that know about roofs clean my roof so they would know if there were any issues. If there's anyone out there that's really busy for possible scheduling issues and doesn't like to put in extra communication, I wouldn't do this company. But If you want the lowest bid and are willing to be slightly flexible, this company did a great job. From signing the agreement for service to the day the service was done, it was just a handful of days so getting the service quick was a perk. I would personally use them again. read more

When I discovered a water spot on my ceiling, it was brought to my attention that my roof was leaking. I couldn't wait months till other roofing companies could fit me into their schedule, I needed the work done NOW. Ferdi was the first company that gave me a bid. Junio came out, explained the process, answered all my questions, listened to my concerns. Turns out I had 3 layers of shingles on my roof, and that wasn't the worst of it. The patch jobs by the previous owner really compromised the integrity of the structure. I got 5 bids and Ferdi's bid was right in the middle, and he gave me such a feeling of friendly professionalism that it wasn't really a hard choice. BTW, when I researched roofers, I not only looked at online reviews, I checked out the BBB, and their state license for complaints/findings. You should too, you might be surprised. They came out, removed all the old shingles and went to work. Unfortunately, because of the poor condition of the underlying sheeting, what should have been 5 sheets replaced turned into 19. Because of the huge price increase of plywood, this ended up costing me an additional $1,500, but it was all explained up front and documented by lots of photos. I wasn't about to nickel and dime the job. I also had the skylight and the gutters replaced (I mean, in for a penny, in for a pound, right?!) I'm really happy with the work they did, and how quickly it was completed (one week from beginning to end). The only issue I'm having right now is the skylight seems to vibrate when the sun is shining directly on it, but I'm thinking that's a failure on the skylight and not on Ferdi. I have confidence that Junio will make it right. You can't go wrong with Ferdi. I can't recommend them more highly. read more

I called on a Tuesday afternoon and received a prompt response offering me a next-day appointment (either 7:30am or 6:30pm) for an estimate. We agreed on 6:30pm. I left work early to make sure I was home, but 6:30 came and went and no one showed. I texted (the preferred form of communication with this company, apparently) asking if they were planning on coming, and was told that not only were they not coming, but that in the previous 24 hours they had booked up completely (forever, I guess?) and they would not be coming out at all. Junio and his team were excellent and we're super happy with our new roof and gutters! We got several quotes for our project in March 2020. Junio came in competitive, but what really stood out to me is that he was VERY upfront and honest about all the possible gotchas that we could run into with our particular roof. We have the original shiplap roofing material on the house and water-damaged plywood on the garage. He was the only one who told us up front that we'd likely be paying extra for new plywood sheeting to do the job right. His team ripped off, added new plywood and waterproofed underlayment all in a couple hours. Clean up was a breeze.
