It's been so long since we have biked on the 6 seater bike. Process was fast and simple. Cost was $45 per hour which left us enough time to stop once along the path, bike lock is provided. Beautiful views as always, bike path is nice and wide most of the time. Definitely check them out if you are in Lovers point!

We had a great experience renting a surrey (large bike) today at lover's point. We rented the large one for the four of us, although I think it could fit a toddler in the front and two additional small children. The rate was $45/hour and the process to rent one is very quick. Employees were really friendly and helpful. Great experience and the views along the path were breathtaking.

Yes, we went here on the weekend before the Shelter in Place order went out on 3/16/20! Had a wonderful experience. The salesperson was helpful, gave helpful instructions, recommended the bikes he felt would work best for the persons renting. Just a helpful suggestion: If your party is larger than 2, don't mix electric and normal bike rentals! The reality is that electric bikes can go much faster and your party will be, err, held up, by the slowest person on a manual bike. The white bikes are WAAAY faster than the black electric bikes so if you want to feel as if you don't even need to pedal, rent the white bikes, ha, ha!! The black bikes do provide electric assistance but they feel much more like a regular bike at the low assistance levels. Have fun!

Loved it!! Sorry to the staff, brought my bratty little sister who didn't want to wear her helmet but she eventually did.

Boyfriend wanted to go bike riding on our mini getaway. Found this place conveniently located at Lover's Point with a beach, picnic /bbq area, volleyball court, pool and a cash only food shack. The staff was very helpful and prices were very reasonable. When you arrive, you have to fill out a liability form and put a card on file for incidentals, however it will not get charged until you return you return and can choose to pay with cash or a different card. They offer kayak, bikes, paddle board and surreys rentals (golf cart looking bikes). We rented two cruiser bikes and came back around hour and a half later but the friendly staff only charged us $10 for one hour per bike. Bikes were well maintained and got the job done. Overall, very satisfied and would recommend renting from here!

It was so easy to rent a bike on this Friday. A QR code is present at the check in area. You fill out the information and provide your credit card data. You then fill out a simple waiver before you get your bike. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. You select your helmet and the staff provides the bike based on your build. You can then get a phone holder or a saddle bag for additional storage,if needed. It's all included in the price. We chose the $55 for 4 hours of biking. (It's $10 extra per hour over the 4 hours.) We were then provided a quick tutorial of the bike process and its functions to allow for a smooth and carefree ride. It was all so easy! Off we went for nearly 4 hours of exploring the area. I highly recommend this business for your an electric bike experience.

We got in contact with Carlos and Coastal Ebike Connection a couple of days before we flew into Monterrey from Phoenix. From our first conversation with Carlos on the phone, we immediately knew that we had made the right decision on renting ebikes from him. Carlos met us at the motel we were staying at in Pacific Grove at 0900 in the am, and gave us some quick lessons on how to use the e-bikes. He also provided us with helmets (which were VERY comfortable), water bottles, a lock for the bikes, backpacks to carry our belongings, and some nice warm vests with the company logo on them. We signed some forms, Carlos chatted with us for a bit and snapped some photos with our phone cameras, and off we went! We had an amazing time, and wouldn't have wanted to explore the 17 mile drive any other way than on the e-bikes. You can stop as often as you want and take some amazing photos and enjoy the views at your own pace. We stopped in Carmel for lunch and shopping and walking in the neighborhood, and then headed back to Pacific Grove on our amazing e-bikes. Carlos was such a joy to chat with--such a warm, friendly, and outgoing person who is clearly enthusiastic about his business and putting his customers first. We felt like we had been friends for years after meeting and interacting with him. You will LOVE him. Carlos drove to our motel after we had texted him that we had finished our bike ride, and we talked about our amazing experience while Carlos packed up the bikes in his trailer. We highly recommend that you rent some e-bikes from Carlos when you are in Pacific Grove, whether it be for 4 hours, or 8 hours---you will not regret it.

But a few weekends ago we were all what shall we do why not head to Monterey and rent a bike and ride on that cool trail from downtown along the dunes to who knows where. They have a few different…read moretours so make sure you know which one you booked as all start from the same place and (from what I could tell...) same time. Cathy actually texted me the night before to introduce herself and provide a few instructions and tips. A key tip is bring water and a small back pack or fanny pack to put the bottle in. The bikes don't all have baskets and the baskets don't hold things very well. So you might also bring a small bungee cord to keep things "in the basket" should you get a bike with a basket. Check in was a breeze. The most "difficult" part of the whole tour was finding helmets that fit and sizing the bike seats There were 6 in our tour. We left right on time at 10 and got back at 12:45. We stopped multiple times for photo ops and to look at different properties. We even got to walk through the La Playa hotel which is a beautiful property! I loved seeing and learning about the Comstock homes and the fact that the homes in Carmel by the Sea do not have street addresses. (They will soon as a new reg has passed that every property now needs a proper address... Not just a name.) All in all, I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the tour very much. I don't ride bikes often anymore as an adult and this was the first time riding an E-Bike. The learning curve is easy once you know the difference between Eco, Sport and Turbo. I enjoyed it and it made the tour almost effortless. Highly recommend Mad Dogs! Note....the coffee shop is just up around the corner. You cannot access it directly from the bike shop.
