It's been so long since we have biked on the 6 seater bike. Process was fast and simple. Cost was $45 per hour which left us enough time to stop once along the path, bike lock is provided. Beautiful views as always, bike path is nice and wide most of the time. Definitely check them out if you are in Lovers point!

We had a great experience renting a surrey (large bike) today at lover's point. We rented the large one for the four of us, although I think it could fit a toddler in the front and two additional small children. The rate was $45/hour and the process to rent one is very quick. Employees were really friendly and helpful. Great experience and the views along the path were breathtaking.

Yes, we went here on the weekend before the Shelter in Place order went out on 3/16/20! Had a wonderful experience. The salesperson was helpful, gave helpful instructions, recommended the bikes he felt would work best for the persons renting. Just a helpful suggestion: If your party is larger than 2, don't mix electric and normal bike rentals! The reality is that electric bikes can go much faster and your party will be, err, held up, by the slowest person on a manual bike. The white bikes are WAAAY faster than the black electric bikes so if you want to feel as if you don't even need to pedal, rent the white bikes, ha, ha!! The black bikes do provide electric assistance but they feel much more like a regular bike at the low assistance levels. Have fun!

Loved it!! Sorry to the staff, brought my bratty little sister who didn't want to wear her helmet but she eventually did.

Boyfriend wanted to go bike riding on our mini getaway. Found this place conveniently located at Lover's Point with a beach, picnic /bbq area, volleyball court, pool and a cash only food shack. The staff was very helpful and prices were very reasonable. When you arrive, you have to fill out a liability form and put a card on file for incidentals, however it will not get charged until you return you return and can choose to pay with cash or a different card. They offer kayak, bikes, paddle board and surreys rentals (golf cart looking bikes). We rented two cruiser bikes and came back around hour and a half later but the friendly staff only charged us $10 for one hour per bike. Bikes were well maintained and got the job done. Overall, very satisfied and would recommend renting from here!

Absolutely incredible experience with Fast Raft Ocean Safaris & Captain Kate!…read more If you're anywhere near the Monterey Peninsula, local or visiting, you must experience Fast Raft Ocean Safaris. We had the privilege of heading out with Captain Kate, and what unfolded was truly beyond words. We witnessed countless humpback whale calves breaching all around us-so many that we didn't know which direction to look-left, right, behind the boat...it felt like nature's ballet on full display! The raft itself is impeccable-comfortable, smooth, and incredibly close to the water, which makes the encounters feel all the more intimate and powerful. It's small-group, thoughtfully guided, and environmentally conscious. Captain Kate's knowledge, passion, and deep respect for the ocean and its creatures created a sense of reverence and wonder that elevated the whole journey. This is not your average whale-watching tour-it's in a league of its own. A soul-stirring, jaw-dropping, life-affirming kind of outing. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Whether you're a local looking to reconnect with the majesty of your own backyard or a visitor hoping for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, this is the one to book. Truly unforgettable.

They gave an informational overview of where to paddle to see wildlife as well as other recommendations and safety tips. They provide life jackets, waterproof jackets and pants which were great too keep water off your clothes. There are porto potties available if you need to use the facilities. The staff were well very nice and helpful. The main con of our trip was the two person top sitting kayak we were on seemed to have problems with steering. No matter how hard we tried to turn right, the kayak always tended to veer the other direction which was frustrating. We got another kayak to check if they saw anything wrong visually on the water, but they couldn't see anything so maybe there was something going on with the underside of the kayak. Besides that, we had a nice time on the water and were able to enjoy seeing all the birds and cute otters and seals out and about. Later in the morning and early afternoon we even got to see the otters get more active and go diving for mud worms that looked like bright orange cigars. It was super cute seeing the otters sleeping nested in the kelp too. Try not to disturb them though since they need to conserve energy to stay warm! We unfortunately saw one tour group led by a guide that went right next to a sleeping pod of otters and woke them all up. Overall, fun place to go kayaking with wildlife! Glad we went on this trip here!

I thought it would be a cute little excursion to learn about the marine life in the slough but no LOL. It was a lot. It was very cold and windy the day we went kayaking. They let us borrow jackets and pants, I wore a cute bikini and wanted to get a tan in but no! LOL Honestly it was definitely a memorable experience but I wouldn't say I would want to kayak near the sea ever again. It's a little scary but great for those adrenaline junkies.

The bike selection was decent, and the rates were relatively reasonable. $30 for four hours, or $40 for a full day (meaning up till 5:30 PM of that day). The particular person at this location was not very customer-service centric, and was scarcely helpful in explaining anything. We wouldn't put this place down because of him but, for such a high visibility and somewhat affluent location, he is not a good fit. I did a full day bike rental, and ended up returning it under the four-hour window, so I opted for the $30 (4-hr) rental and called them ahead of time. Communication was poor between the two locations, something that could definitely be improved especially with tourist season ramping up. I discovered upon returning the bike that I was obliged to go to their main location by the Monterey Plaza Hotel to collect a voucher for the difference, so we had to make another trip. Monterey is so beautiful this time of year, so we didn't mind but would've preferred to know ahead of time. The main location is very large and has an abundance of rentals - from kayaks to cruisers, cute lorry-style pedal bikes for families and everything in between. They also have deeply discounted sales from time to time on used bicycles and kayaks at this location. We saw an awesome 2-person kayak for under $100, and would have bought it if we had a way to bring it back! Adventures By the Sea has numerous locations across the US, so I've got my fingers crossed that the voucher is good for Maui too.
