Amazing e-bike rental spot in a great location with really nice staff. Came here on our costal CA roadtrip and rented a few e-bikes for 4 hours. Shop is located in a quiet area. Plenty of street parking. Plenty of bikes. We got set up and ready to go quick. There are helmets if you don't bring your own and sacks on the bikes to carry your belongings. The staff gave us a map, answered some questions, and gave suggestions on where to go. We started with the 17 mile loop, which took a little over 2 hours. The scenery is absolutely stunning and there are plenty of spots to get off, take in the view, or spend some time on the beach. If you're gonna go into the sand I suggest wearing appropriate footwear. Water moccasins or Tevas. There isn't too much traffic along the trail so you're not constantly competing with cars. Stopped in the Pebble Beach pro shop to grab some souvenirs. There's plenty of things to see and you can either take your time or blast through it all. Overall fantastic shop. I'd 100% rent from them again. read more

My daughter and I rented a couple e-bikes to ride around the Monterey/carmel area. It was easily one of the most enjoyable bike rides we've done. My girlfriend reserved two e-bikes for 4 hour rentals. When we showed up the bikes were ready, adjusted to our heights, and they had plenty of options for helmets and gloves. The space was so clean and organized. The customer service was excellent. Very friendly people. Their location was perfect for riding around 17 mile drive. We were able to cover from Lovers Point, all the way down to Pescadero Point, and back. So many great views and sights of the ocean, marine wildlife, and the coastline. The e-bikes worked so well. The electric assist came in handy when going uphill, and to start peddling from a stop. After our adventures we came backs they had a special. Leave a review on Yelp or post a picture on IG and get a shirt for $5. We did so and the employee was so nice that we got our shirts for free. We did the 17 mile drive bike tour and had an great time. Excellent choice for seeing Monterey and the 17 mile drive. We had a lovely tour guide that walked through how the bikes worked, kept tabs on everybody throughout the tour, offered to take photos at each stop for everyone, and provided great stories at each stopping point. The entire tour was about 5 hours, so have a decent breakfast so you aren't too hungry by the end (past lunchtime), if you opt for the morning option (better for weather). The tour included complimentary snacks (fruit gummies) and small bottles of water, gloves, and helmet. Each bike had plenty of room in the zippered bike bags for storing things, but you can also leave items at their shop. Be sure to arrive early to sign the waiver and get geared up so your tour can start on time! Also as a note, you definitely should know how to ride a bike before you do this tour, just because its an ebike with turbo assist doesn't mean it'll just ride itself! read more

Such a cool experience. We arrived around noon on a Monday. It was a bit busy so we had to wait a little for two bikes to be ready for us (we didn't have a reservation). It was not a long wait at all. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They were patient with me explaining how to use the bike's throttle and all the other features of the bike. We rented the e-bikes without a guided tour but they were helpful to point out a trail along 17-Mile Drive. The bike ride was so fun (and a little stressful bc of car traffic). If you've never ridden an e-bike before (like me), you do get used to using the throttle when car traffic is pressuring you. Lol. Again, so fun. Return of the bike and helmets were easy and a breeze. Parking is on the street but free. We didn't have to park too far. read more

My wife booked us the 3 1/2 hour guided E-bike tour of 17 mile road. The weather was a bit chilly and I guess everyone else cancelled so we had a "private" tour with our guide Zane. It was beyond awesome! Zane was born and raised in the area and so much knowledge of the area and the specific sites. The bikes were in perfect condition, helmets and gloves were clean and sanitized and they also provided packaged snacks and bottled water. Highly recommend the tour and highly recommend Zane if he is available. read more

Big Sur Adventures e-bike rental shop was really the highlight of a recent vacation to Monterey with my teen. The owner carefully explained how to use the e-bikes since I had never used one before and these ones had a throttle and pedal assist. They had phone holders, saddle bags for holding tons of stuff, and locks included with the rental and the bikes looked brand new. We hardy used any of the batteries on our ride along the 17mi drive. I HIGHLY recommend this e-bike rental shop, they had tons of options, even e-bikes you could bring your dog on and they were incredibly nice and helpful. read more

Visiting Cali and heard that the 17 mile drive is a must see so heard about Big Sur Adventures and it was the best!! Had a fun and energetic tour guide, Flo, who was so knowledgeable and made our trip worth it. It was a 2.5 hour bike ride along 17 mile road and stopped at various lookouts to take pictures and even caught a little bit of the golf tournament at pebble beach. The best part is that this was all on an e bike which was perfect since parts were super hilly and we got to experience the coast like never before. The bikes themselves were in amazing condition and got a whole tutorial on how to use them prior to our trip. I was so happy we came here for a bike tour and it's a MUST DO!!! read more
