We rented a two row bike to get some excercise and ride around Cannery row. It was a nice cruise starting from Lover's point beach. The girls working here were friendly and helpful. We took a few breaks to just take in the views. Of all the times I visited Monterey, I'm glad we did this with our kids this go around. There's a basket in the front with a seatbelt for the younger kids. It was an enjoyable activity for our whole family and the weather was beautiful. We got to see the seals the Monterey bay Aquarium are trying so hard to keep safe. We rotated so all of us got to ride in the back and enjoyed the cruise. I recommend this activity if you have other adults, older kids (teens and up) or if your little ones can fit in the basket. Not the in between ages, there aren't any seatbelts or safety restraints. If you are in the area keep this activity in mind. It's cost friendly and the views are beautiful.

A must-do if you are visiting Monterey! The guided Kayak tour is a great value and the 8am time slot is perfect. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous as well.

Jessie exuberated incredible enthusiasm through her salesmanship, and I enjoyed the scenery of Cannery Row with a bike she reccomended. Thank you to Adventures by the Sea for giving me the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

What a fabulous morning we had in our kayaks on the bay! Adventures By the Sea made it all easy and fun. They are a well oiled machine, set up for out-of-town visitors, everyone in a good mood, supportive in every way so that you have a good experience. We spent two hours on the bay, which felt just right, and had a wonderful time with the sea life and each other. We mostly reveled in the otters but enjoyed bird life, sea lions, and one beautiful seal. Two of us were in a tandem and two others in a single. I recommend the tandem because you have someone right there to share all your "ooohs" and "ahhhs" with! I might also note that I have a bit of anxiety around boats and water, but never for a moment felt unsafe. It was wondrous.

We did a guided Kayak Tour through Adventures by the sea. It was just two of us in our party and we chose to do a group guided tour. By pure luck, all of the other grii group canceled so it effectively became a private tour. Our Tour guide Jan was super knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job keeping a good pace for us, especially considering 1 of us had never kayaked. Our Tour was exactly at the 2 hour point, great views and weather, we saw tons of wildlife and worked a big appetite for dinner. I would recommend the Cannery Row location and make sure to put sunscreen everywhere (I forgot my feet so definitely don't forget that!)

The kids had just woken up for their nap and this place was nearing closing time so I wanted to call to check if we'd still be able to rent a surrey. The guy over the phone said yes, if we were already local and we left super quickly to catch them before closing. We arrived around 15 mins or so later and they were able to rent out the surrey and the experience was just so amazing. The kids absolutely loved it and it was great way to see all the beautiful sites along the coast. We were so glad we were able to do this for the first time while in Carmel. They also prorated the rental since weren't able to use if for the full timeframe you're usually able to which we very much appreciated. Thank you so much for making this such an amazing experience for me and my family!

Jan is the best kayak guide on the coast! They offer great quality kayaks and paddles, as well as dry jackets and pants to keep you warm and dry on those chilly foggy mornings. We booked last minute the night before and Jan was ready for us first thing in the morning. We got a full tour of the area, plus an amazing history lesson. We saw all kind of birds, seals, and tons and tons of OTTERS! Cannot recommend Adventures by the Sea (and Jan) enough!

We rented e-bikes, Best experience in Monterey and trails all the way to pebble beach! Affordable pricing. We also added geocaching along the way and there were several on the trail. Made for an extra fun experience. I will say we did make a lot of stops but one of our bike battery went dead for about the last two miles. But we made it back with a little extra work. Beautiful trip along the ocean and past amazing homes about 25 miles round trip.

Rented bikes and kayaks on three separate occasions from them (right at Lovers Point beach in Pacific Grove, CA) for our groups of different sizes. Always a smile. So friendly. They didn't hesitate to give us tips on where to bike and kayak, where to sea the wild life and so on. They also give us a run down of the water that day (which part can be wavy or windy and so on). Nice equipment (kayaks and ladies' / mountain bikes). Top-notch service. Considering that they have monopoly here, it is wonderful to see that they still provide such good service. See my photos showing their kayaks in good condition.

We rented some bikes from here to ride around the trail. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Perhaps next time, we will get some kayaks. I have done the surreys before, I will just say they are more work than you expect and less fun especially after the first 20 minutes. The individual bikes are better IMHO.

The staff were well very nice and helpful. The main con of our trip was the two person top sitting kayak we were on seemed to have problems with steering. No matter how hard we tried to turn right, the kayak always tended to veer the other direction which was frustrating. We got another kayak to check if they saw anything wrong visually on the water, but they couldn't see anything so maybe there was something going on with the underside of the kayak. Besides that, we had a nice time on the water and were able to enjoy seeing all the birds and cute otters and seals out and about. Later in the morning and early afternoon we even got to see the otters get more active and go diving for mud worms that looked like bright orange cigars. It was super cute seeing the otters sleeping nested in the kelp too. Try not to disturb them though since they need to conserve energy to stay warm! We unfortunately saw one tour group led by a guide that went right next to a sleeping pod of otters and woke them all up. Overall, fun place to go kayaking with wildlife! Glad we went on this trip here!
