Recently remodeled rooms . Very clean and comfortable.
    Adrian Z.

We booked two rooms that had King size beds and one sofa bed as a launch pad for a cruise at the port of LA right across the road. $120/Night each room booked on third party Expedia. We saw the previous review that the place had been remodeled. We took a chance and decided to try it. We were super happy we did. The front desk staff was awesome! We asked for extra blankets and they provided promptly. The rooms were very clean and comfy. Nice space for the price and parking was convenient as well. Will definitely stay here again if needed. Highly Recommended as an overnight stay for a cruise trip.

We had an event and were gifted a stay...I read the reviews and felt like it was going to be a "not so pleasant stay" but driving up it didn't look as terrible as some of the reviews say??? Going into room was a surprise...the room is very spacious and clean ....nothing like some of the bad reviews??? I don't think this is a bad spot? I actually like this room and don't feel like the reviews reflect the room?

First off, they take cash only but did NOT say that online when booking. They take your card info online but when you arrive in person, "sorry cash only" (and they don't have an ATM). Upon finally getting into a room, there's so much damage and it smells like urine. There are cigarette holes in the blankets, paint missing, multiple light switches don't work, etc, and there's no refunds so we're stuck here. Wish we would have seen the room before booking. It's so disgusting that even the shower looks like it would make you feel dirtier afterwards. Go literally ANYWHERE else, this place will 100% make you sick.

Looks great on the outside but beware! We usually stay here every year about this time for a summer gathering with friends up the road. Each year it gets worse. This year we found things growing in the fridge, hair in bed when we pulled back the blankets, hair in the shower, broken sink, cracked toilet, broken counter top, something fuzzy on the wall, very thick dust on the ceiling fan blades above the bed and they removed the smoke alarm. I spoke with hotel clerk about the horrible condition and he wouldn't refund or discount out room fee of $108 We will never stay here again and I recommend you don't either. I have pictures of everything

Staff was really polite. I really wish that I could give a better review but reality is that this could be a really neat little Inn but the lack of maintenance and cleanliness is quite evident. At first glance room seemed decent but anywhere I turned it seemed everything was dirty or dusty and even sheets were stained. The bathroom wasn't clean enough for me to feel comfortable enough to shower in. Location and neighborhood was great though, couldn't have asked for better. Pacific Inn Diner just 2min walk has really great food and we had Moroccan food the in the evening which is just 10 min away and that was great! All in all, this is what you get for 90 bucks a night in the outskirts of LA. If it was cleaner and maintained they'd get a 5.

I've stayed at many motels& this one was particularly nicer because of the direct tv. It was also very clean& apartment like. I loved the time I stayed here. I will be back.

    Broken. Clearly.

The inside of the "fridge" in the kitchenette was filled with dead bugs and dirty. There was a small mini fridge placed in the middle of the kitchen, that wasn't working. The fire alarm has been disconnected and missing. The thermostat is broken and barely hanging on the wall. The sofa chair is stained and worn. I wouldn't sit in it. Kitchen lighting is falling from the ceiling. Bathroom lighting barely works. Have to turn on heat lamp to see. Carpet is pulling from floor and lumpy. Two inch gap between bottom of the door and floor. Paint is peeling from the walls. Wifi "network is down", for the entire 5 day stay. No help in fixing it.

The location is amazing, down the street from Cabrillo beach and the Korean friendship bell. But that's literally the only positive thing I can say. I had to wait almost 2 extra hours to check in because the room was being "cleaned". Upon entering my room (second floor) the scent of pineapple fabuloso nearly made me barf. The room was filthy. Like really really gross. Moist stinky carpet, greasy stained chair, empty duvet cover with cigarette burns, dead bugs in the shower, toothpaste splattered on the mirror, large brown sticky spot in the kitchenette. The only thing worse than the horror movie flickering lights was the exposed mattress. Exposed mattress y'all!! I went here for a getaway to sit on the beach, not smoke crack. The manager got a really bad attitude when I asked my bed to be remade, and it never was done. I ended up sleeping on my beach towel and using the tv remote through a ziplock bag. Go elsewhere!

The rooms are clean, spacious and great amenities. The manager is awesome. We had a problem free extended stay.

Do not stay here unless it is your last resort. Trash left from prior occupants, mold in bathroom, no washclothes or other toiletries, etc.

Self-parking is $25/night. Not too many spots since many are allocated for valet. Room is simple, included fridge, coffee machine for pods. Fluffy pillows. Our bathroom had a seat in the tub and handheld shower head. Never seen this before. WiFi is better than most hotels. Must sign up for IHG to get it. We saw lots of folks in the jacuzzi and pool. The jets in the jacuzzi are powerful. I got to try out the next day. Restaurant looked nice. There is also a market if you want to grab something quick. Staff are great. Drop keys in box for check-out. Not bad for one night stay.

From the moment I arrived, the entire team made me feel welcomed. The hotel is spotless, and you can tell the housekeeping staff takes incredible pride in what they do. Emma at the front desk was wonderful--kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant deserves 20 stars if Yelp would let me give them. Breakfast was hands-down one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. A special shoutout to the gentleman who served me--I believe his name was Daniel (forgive me if I got that wrong)--who made every morning start with a smile. May health and wealth follow him wherever he goes. And then there was Genka--the sweetest little snack fairy floating through the hotel spreading joy. I wasn't even sure I deserved the surprise goodies, but she blessed me with a Sprite and some Scooby Snacks and somehow made my day brighter. Watching her happily take care of guests was enough to make anyone smile. Now let's talk about that pool area. Absolutely beautiful, especially at night. The pool is gorgeous, but the real star is the jacuzzi. Those jets don't play around--they hit like a luxury spa and practically massage every ache away. After a long day, sitting under the night sky with those powerful jets felt like a mini vacation inside my vacation. In a world where people are quick to complain, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the people doing things right. Every single person I encountered here was kind, hardworking, and genuinely cared. Also, I would like to shout out Amanda, the tender of the bar for the beautiful service and for being so nice. To management: these people deserve a raise. They are the reason guests return. Thank you, Crowne Plaza San Pedro, for reminding me what real hospitality looks like. Between the amazing staff, the incredible breakfast, the sparkling clean property, and that heavenly spa-like jacuzzi, you've earned a lifelong fan. Room 933 James Toney and Richelle Olson. Staff was nice and held my bags while I explored the area before check in. Decently clean; not as gross as others have said but yes, a bit run down. I think it is on par with budget hotels these days. Room had double lock; felt safe Shower was warm and toilet worked. Bed was okay. Comfortable but could hear the plastic mattress cover right under the sheets when moving about. Cons: No soap. Or shampoo. I've never seen that. My room had no remote. I asked for one. It turned on the sound but no picture. I gave up. No elevator; steps in and steps to many rooms. This was on the website so I wasn't surprised. One pillow per person and one small towel per person. No mini fridge and no ice available. Skunk sprayed outside so room has smelled all day/night (coming in through air conditioner; 1st floor room) Someone has been getting sick outside the room for the past half hour. Daytime had lots of noise from nearby homes, kids, music, banging as though someone was putting up siding All in all, it's safe, inexpensive, and no frills. I am staying one night before a cruise. This is fine for my needs. I would stay here again. Safety and cost are great. Bummers might be one offs, except for the soap. Soap should be provided!
