Pacific Manor Dental has great dentists, technicians, and staff who are dedicated to taking best care of your teeth and gums and who explain clearly and show clearly why you need what they recommend. I've been to other dental offices that suggested expensive procedures I didn't need. I have been to other dental offices that suggested procedures that were needed but which they did not have the experience to perform. I've never had either of those problems at Pacific Manor Dental. Dr. Nguyen and his staff are super professional and friendly. As other reviewers said and I agree: straight shooting and no BS. What I had worked on as a new patient: - large cavity that needed drilling and crown installed. - large cavity that was drilled and filled. - large cavity that needed root canal and crown. Needless to say, that was a lot of work within 3 months but every visit was always a pleasant experience. I never felt pain since Dr Nguyen used the perfect anesthesia and gave me concise instructions and updates while I was in the chair. Dr. Nguyen always took the time to provide me videos and other resources so I was always well informed of what was going on. Also, since I was changing jobs and dental insurance, we planned out the work so it would optimize the spending on my dental benefits as I left my old job and started my new job. Some advantages here: - they use an online app for scheduling so it's very convenient (with helpful mobile text reminders) compared to older phone appointments . You can still call if you want, but in this day and age, who still does that. - time passes easily since I can watch Netflix on their TV's installed in each workstation. Even while laying in the chair flat, there is a TV on the ceiling. - super clean and friendly wait area for kids. - Plenty of parking at Safeway. I highly recommend you come here for all dental work. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The dentists, assistants and front office are very knowledgeable about the field and if they don't know an answer they will be honest with you and refer you to someone who knows more. I came in with an emergent dental issue almost a year ago and am still a current patient. I've seen Dr Duy and Dr Chow, both which I would recommend. The dentists are gentle and they always ask if you're okay. The stop sign is always at hand but I promise you will never even use it. I owed Pacific Manor Dental a review for too long, finally, here it is. I have visited this office for more than three times in 2016, including regular teeth cleaning, and deep cleaning. The experience I had all exceeded my expectation, from the reception desk, to the dental service. Scheduling an appointment has never been so easy, staff will remind you in a way you prefer. In the operation room, the entertainment system is top notch, never feel bored during visit. Dr Nguyen is super knowledgable and good at what he is doing, his staff are also very helpful and always have a smile, which made me feel happy every time. Dr Chow was very friendly and professional. She explained her observations thoroughly in a way I would understand. The assistants were all very friendly as well and knew what they were doing while making sure I was comfortable. The office and equipment are much more modern than the previous dental office I went to before moving to Pacifica. They even gave a gift bag for becoming a new client. Cleaning was fine, nice office with Hulu to watch while getting your teeth cleaned. Front office staff, although polite, needs more training. After the first visit the staff (and the dentist at one point) had to call me repeatedly on the phone to confirm my SSN and other information that I already gave them (I now wonder what happened to the document that I submitted with all of my personal information on it??). Anyways, I chalked that experience up to the business being brand new. Six months later, I call to confirm that they accept my new insurance but can't get a straight answer ("pretty sure we accept that insurance") and the girl on the phone was not too quick to figure out how to answer my simple request so that I did not waste time showing up to my appointment to find out that the insurance is not accepted. I tried to give this place a chance due to their convenient hours, but the front office is a pain to deal with so I cancelled my appointment. read more

If you need a dentist, Dr. Duy Nguyen at Pacific Manor Dental is your guy! I was referred to him by a friend and came in for a cleaning earlier today. As I entered the chic, well decorated, and immaculate lobby, I was greeted by his friendly wife Vendy who offered me water as I filled out my forms. She also got me settled into one of their new state of the art exam rooms. The dental chair was very comfy and for the first time ever at a dental office, I was provided a blanket to keep warm, goggles to protect my eyes from water splashes, and a Stop Sign to hold up in case I experienced any discomfort during the cleaning (which I didn't need to use at all). The goggles were great and came in handy. In the past, I usually have to close my eyes during cleanings. Dr. Nguyen was very professional, easy going and gentle on my teeth. Also, instead of those giant bright lights you've seen dozens of times at regular dental offices that blind you during cleanings, his goggles has a mini flash light that shines where he needs, which added to the overall comfort of my experience. He also took my xrays and was very efficient. I would come back again and I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen for anybody looking for a new dentist like I was. My mother in-law had one of those emergency situation with her temporary crown chipped off. Called Dr Nguyen and was able to see Dr Nguyen immediately with a last minute appointment. Thankfully. We arrived 25 or so minutes late to our appointment due to traffic (we are really sorry..) however, Dr Nguyen and his staff preps the operation room with a warm nice fuzzy blanket and a mirror. While Dr Nguyen operate gently on her chipped tooth he explains every steps and I could tell hes incredibly passionate about his work. Dr Nguyen seems experienced, professional, honest, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Nguyen made my mother in-law comfortable and enjoyable during her operation. I was looking for a new dentist since my dentist of 5 years will be retiring soon. I got a recommendation from a friend to see Dr. Nguyen. I used their online system to make an appointment which was easy. It even sent me text reminders to go which was helpful. The location is by the Safeway in Pacifica close to highway 1 exit. Parking was easy to find. I checked in with Vendy (who is very kind and friendly!). I got some x-rays done and Dr. Nguyen went over the results with me showing me where the problem areas were in comparison to healthy areas. Turned out I had four cavities to work on. Dr. Nguyen did my cleaning and did one filling on this visit. To my surprise it was the most pleasant dentist I have been at! You get a little STOP sign in case something hurts you hold it up. I also got a nice blanket (it is Pacifica after all!), and some goggles to wear which was great because I could keep my glasses on! This was helpful since once you lay down you have watch Hulu on the tv on the ceiling. It was great! I came back for a second visit less than a week later to get three fillings done on the opposite side. Despite the sounds of drilling that kept going on, I didn't have to use my STOP sign once. As i suspected, one of the fillings was deep. I appreciated Dr. Nguyen taking pictures before, during, and after the fillings were done to show exactly what he had done. I had never seen that before! The next day I realized one of my fillings, the deep one, was feeling sensitive to cold and hot. I checked in with Dr. Nguyen who was quick to respond and said this was normal considering how deep it was and to monitor unless it was painful. Now about two weeks later it seems the sensitivity is gone. Overall I was extremely happy with my two visits and I look forward to going in for my cleaning in six months! read more

First review. Took over a year to get everything done. I picked them because they are close to where I live, like everything I go to. I needed extensive dental work done, and they did everything right. From wisdom teeth to deep cleaning to extractions to cavities, and bridges. Very little discomfort, which was unexpected. I visited for a cleaning today as a new patient and had a really good experience! Everyone at the office was really nice, and there were multiple precautions in place to ensure safety. I had my temperature taken and hands sanitized, as well as did a hydrogen peroxide mouthwash on the way in. The doctors wear face masks and shields the entire time. There are TVs on the ceilings of rooms with Netflix on to help make the operations more enjoyable. They even gave me a new patient gift bag, which was a really nice cherry on top. Absolutely recommended!! I started a yelp account just to leave a review for this office because I am so appreciative of their help. My wife was in extreme pain on a Sunday morning. She didn't have a regular dentist, I saw that Dr. Nguyen had nothing but 5 star reviews so far, so I called around 1pm. I told them that she was a new patient and I'm very desperate to find her some help. After taking our information, 4 minutes later Dr. Nguyen texted me personally and said that the office was closed that day, but he could open just for her at 6pm..... If she could last that long. We showed up early and so did the Doctor. My wife said that he relieved her of all pain and had her come back soon after for a crown. I dont usually give five stars, however I have had a good experience here with cleaning root scaling and love their new technology. The video scan of my mouth was amazing and they have a new xray machine. At 64 I still have most of my teeth although they found two dead ones ahh no good. Dr Nuygen is excellent and very caring his assistant Ranier is even better. They take thier time are very through and with good technique. Funny how I watched Anthony Bourdain in the dentist chair. Professional, caring, and factual -- Dr Nguyen takes a priority to insure your teeth are in a stellar condition after visiting his office. First time I went to his office over 6 months ago for an extraction of a dental floss that stuck between my teeth due to a poor cavity filling done by another dental office. Dr Nguyen was able to extract it and showed me through the x-rays that my recent cavity filling (the one with a stuck dental floss) had more cavity inside of the filling! Dr Nguyen did a great job redoing the tooth feeling and did a great job with my teeth cleaning. P.S: His office is equipped with Netflix and Hulu that you can watch right in your dental chair while the doctor performs his procedures. I wandered here randomly one afternoon when they were having their grand opening bbq. The food was amazing, and they drew me in ever since. I was looking for a new dentist in the San Francisco area anyways, and this location is near the Safeway I shop. Parking was easy to find. Dr. Nguyen is a very thorough, efficient and knowledgable dentist. He definitely provided a lot of knowledge on my troubled tooth that my previous dentist could not because of the lack of equipment.
