Dr Reznicek misdiagnosed my husband 3 years ago. Claimed he had prostate issues and cleared him to travel. Half way on our road trip I ended up having to call 911 because he was having a psychotic episode. Turns out his bladder was not functioning and he ended up with sepsis. He had been retaining urine for a very long time and Reznicek missed the call. If I hadn't gotten him into the hospital that night he would have died. It took him over a year of brain therapy to bring him back to his normal self. Thank God for Competent urologists in Arizona to be able to perform successful surgery and return him to health. Reznicek was short, pompous and had no bedside manner. He didn't have time for our questions. read more

One mean and grouchy receptionist and older women staff very young and childlike snotty personalities with attitude a lot treated me likewise the same like a child taken for granted was down to my last prescription pill said they would refill it acted like they were busy and didn't have time to do that I had to go in and request the refill a little young girl was very rude and snobby saying that she was going to call me had a conversation with Dr Rez the other day was very loud on the phone in my opinion someone who is highly educated in his field likes to kid around said he would have my prescription refilled three pills left I guess he doesn't have time I would like to transfer to another urologist also a touch of racism read more

I was referred to PNW Urology Specialists by my primary care physician because a urine test found traces of blood. Dr. O'Keefe recommended a cystourethroscopy to examine my bladder. I was told they verified my insurance benefits and PNWUS gave me an estimate of $727, which I paid. After the procedure, I received another bill for an additional $861. When I asked for an explanation of the additional charges, I was given three different answers: My insurance company gave them the wrong information; the estimate was only for the doctor services, not the clinic; and finally, there was a complication with the procedure. They seemed to be grasping for any explanation I would accept. Seeing no other choice, I paid the bill. But I sure do feel scammed. Thankfully, there are other urologists in Bellingham. I do not intend to use this one again. read more

They get one star, only because they did answer the phone when I called to make an appointment. The gal who answered was rude and hung up on me because she didn't understand why I had a referral. I thought that would be up to a doctor not a receptionist. I never received a call back. I had to have my OBGYN contact them a second time. Then a day and a half before my surgery is scheduled, I get a call that my surgery is cancelled because the urologist goes on medical leave themselves. Thanks. I hope your medical leave is for something far worse then what I've been dealing with. read more

Terrible experience in attempting to book an appointment to discuss alternatives to hormone therapy. They are clearly very busy and really don't need the business. Expect a very non-customer service oriented response to any questions and an attitude that's really awkward given the general approach. Hope that we get some competitors in Bellingham. read more

My husband suddenly was faced with urinary retention and required a catheter . Our primary care doctor suggested we contact a urologist when the prescribed medication did not assist in correcting the problem. I contacted Northwest Urology as my husband had a hernia operation several years earlier with the practice. From the very beginning of my conversation the staff was polite, caring and extremely helpful. Lisa fully exceeded my expectations as it's Thanksgiving week and I figured there would be little possibility of an appointment. We live on San Juan island and we're coming to Bellingham for a scheduled doctors appointment as this semi crisis arose. It was the end of the day and she promised to get back early today if she could fit us in. She texted me at 9 am today with an appointment. Really great service. When we arrived for the appointment everyone was friendly and willing to help with the paperwork process. I love their online process for all the documents. Quick process. Our doctor took the time to answer all our questions as he squeezed us into his schedule. He even gave my husband a YouTube link to watch what the next scheduled appointment will be. Thanks Dr. Reznicek. Brennan our CNA also was friendly and knowledgeable with a calming demeanor. And finally to all the ladies in scheduling, they too were just super. Our follow up appointment is within 2 weeks. All I can say is that this group was awesome and I would recommend the practice highly. Thanks for all your support. read more

Whatever service they may have to offer here, it is ruined by the utter lack of basic communication skills. Since starting about 4 months again, I have been charged thousands of dollars in deductibles but am no closer to even getting recommendations for actual treatment than when i started. There is simply no reliable way in their system to be able to communicate with the people actually involved in treatment here. There is no direct voicemail or email for any of them. There appears to be a general email if you press them, but that appears to be ignored. I don't believe a single communication I have left has ever been accurately communicated to a person giving treament. Sometimes, like with their receptionist Becca, they simply hang up on and stop taking calls from your number, if you try to assert that you want to be in touch with and leave a message for your physician. The result is like a service station where you come in with a a failing battery, and tires that need air. You are put in a long cue. When you are seen, they charge you a lot of money to do diagnosis on your engines. Then they tell you there is nothing wrong with your engine, and they send you on your way without doing a thing about your tires, battery or even acknowledging that's what you came in for. I went here because they were in network. Frustrated I called a facility that wasn't in network, and within 3 minutes and 44 seconds, less than you spend on a good day to get in touch with someone like Becca who will misdirect your communication, I was given actual treatment options and places I could find out more information. Surprise, even out of network, the cost of what appears the best option is about the same as my deductible on the work I didn't want here. I appreciated the compassionate staff, but had two failed urolifts performed by Dr. Reznicek. I ended up in the hospital three times after the second (though one of the trips was caused by anesthesia and not the doctor's fault). I later learned from a second opinion that I was a poor candidate for the procedure. Shouldn't have had it in the first place. I spent several months anxious and in pain all for nothing. read more

He gave me different treatment options and explained them very well, along with the side effect of both. I was highly impressed with his knowledge and excellent bedside manner. I would highly recommend that people stay away if you value your life!!!!! I was sent to the ER by my Primary care Physcian, because she had ordered an ultrasound which showed a partially obstructed and swollen kidney. Upon arriving at the ER they took a blood test (supposedly) and asked about my pain. My PCP had given me a script for Percocet 7.5 mg which I had taken prior to arriving at the ER, so the pain was not bad when I arrived at the ER. That was the extent of the examination. I informed them that I had taken the Percocet. The ER doctor contacted Pacific Northwest Urology. Elizabeth Hirshberg PA at Pacific Northwest Urology group informed them that my case was not urgent and to send me home. I stated that I was in severe pain and that it was urgent. They again said that it was not urgent. I went down the road to another ER, who did a CT scan and went in for immediate. Stay away from Peace Health Hospital in Bellingham and Pacific Northwest Urology!!!! They do a great job of malpractice!!!! read more

Very inept and unprofessional. I suspect intelligence deficits as well, with maybe some greed involved, like the previous reviewer stated. I saw Roeter. You'll get mixed-messages from some of the receptionists, doctors, and nurses; like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. It's not my job to sort these people out. I don't work in the medical industry; they do, so they're "supposed" to know what's going on. And I don't need any attitude. I need professional, competent individuals, with high-levels of intelligence, who want to go above and beyond to serve their patients. I would do everything myself, and usually have to do much more than I should have to anyway, but the American medical industry is set up so that most of the time you have to go through many idiots to get anything accomplished, if you end up accomplishing anything at all. My husband saw Dr. Daniel Roeter for prostate issues. The biopsy showed cancer. Dr. Roeter personally called my husband with the results. All questions were answered prior to surgery. Surgery went well. All markers cleared, no cancer. Dr. Roeter is skilled in robotic surgery. He is kind, patient with questions, very professional. Two weeks post my husband is flourishing. Highly recommend this physician in Bellingham. read more

I was diagnosed with T1 high grade bladder cancer in 2015. I have had two Turbt surgeries and ongoing monitoring and BCG immunotherapy instillations per Gold Standard established protocols. For 2.5 years, I am NED (no evidence detected) AND, because of the reduced and still effective BCG treatments, I can continue with what is working for me on this cancer journey. Went to dr Reuter. He refused to listen and investigate my concerns. He blamed it on something that is not within his scope of practice, nor did he have any information on. My kidneys more than hurt and I have records stating concerns and needs to be investigated. I had a Ct done and they had concerns about my kidney, wanted to do a 3 phase IVP Ct, was scheduled and when dr Reuter saw I was scheduled for it, he cancelled it and said I don't need it. He was influenced by money to not do further testing. Do not go to him if you want good health and be without pain and suffering. read more
