Lived there way back in 2008. Sweet place to live, good location only a few minutes to the 405. Close to the air force base, Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman. Parking is underground so you don't get wet when it rains. Bad thing is that the pet area and the grass outside the complex smell like pee cause there isn't a lot of space. read more

Sad how complex has gone down significantly since we have moved here more than 4 years ago. Between the constant elevator being disabled and trapping residence inside to dogs urinating all over the hallways it has been difficult raising a family in this complex even with the "amenities" included with a unit. Now the vendors treat the complex like their own construction site it should be expected for kids to be running around creating a serious liability for the complex and its residents. read more

I have lived here for over 2 years and they just started enforcing a new program where you have to pay to use the guest parking spots. It is $10 a day to get a permit for a guest parking spot. It is absolutely absurd and not something we should have to pay for. read more

Honestly I was really excited to move back here after having lived here from 2021-2022. Immediately upon moving in I noticed that the quality of the apartment complex as a whole has gone down. I used to love getting my workout in at the small gym located inside the complex. I was shocked to see that there are absolutely no free weights anymore and the treadmills have really worn down. It actually hurts to run on them because of how flat and thin the treadmill track is. I was also excited to finally have my own washer and dryer because my old stackable washer and dryer in this complex were brand new when I had a studio. Now that I have a one bedroom the washer and dryer look like they're from the early 2000s and are rusting despite several requests to get them replaced. The dryer also makes a squealing noise every time I try to dry something. I've put work order requests in and they seem to fix the problem temporarily but it keeps happening. For some reason, the apartment refuses my request to replace these old appliances. Inside the community, I noticed that the jacuzzi was taped off and i was really disappointed in this as the jacuzzi used to be my favorite part of this complex. To my knowledge this jacuzzi has been "under construction" for about a year now. Not sure what that's all about or why it has taken so long to repair. I also noticed that my apartment has a ton of spiders. I've sprayed bug spray multiple times and somehow they keep coming back. I'm wondering what the problem is because I didn't have this problem back in 2021. The elevators are really slow. The main elevator that is closest to my apartment is the SLOWEST. If I dare park in my parking spot on the lower level of the garage it takes about a good 6 minutes to even get it going. Not to mention, when it rains which has been very often, the whole bottom of the parking garage floods. I feel that this is unsafe and not worth the fee I pay every month in parking. If you have guests good luck! I certainly feel that there is simply not ENOUGH guest parking for all the residents here. We keep receiving threatening emails about cars getting towed in the guest parking area but this will do nothing because even if every tenant had a guest they wouldn't be able to fit in the limited amount of spaces available. Not to mention they reserved 3 spots for employees and vendors in the guest parking area. Shouldn't employees receive assigned spots inside the gates rather than take up an additional 3 guest spaces? Same thing with the future resident spaces and "1 hour" spaces. These all used to be guest spaces but not anymore. Pacific place and Equity residential in general needs to accommodate for more guest parking if their prices for tenants remain at an all time high and if they're trying to be "luxury" apartments. We also keep receiving emails about fire alarms yet they still keep going off when there isn't a fire at all. I'm not sure why this keeps happening. When I used to live here in 2021, I had only heard the fire alarm go off once. The package room has always been a mess so I was expecting it to be the same. It is and hasn't changed, but I anticipated that. Overall I'm really sad about the changes I see in this place. It used to be so clean and well-maintained. I see the janitors doing the best they can and maintenance staff responding promptly to service orders. It's not their fault. I think management probably should hire more people. Or at least lower their prices if this is type of apartment complex they are trying to run. It sucks because I had such a good experience the first time around. I would advise a dash cam for both front and back hard wired to your car. Otherwise great amenities, nice people, beautiful landscaping. Great location. ROACHES and other serious issues: Pacific Place has big 3-inch long 'American' or 'Palmetto' roaches, most often seen in damp, humid climates. They creep around at night and are scary, fast and gross. Used to be an ok building on a nondescript street of bland office buildings and courthouse. Nothing fancy but decent value near LAX and not too far from beaches. The kind of place you'd live for a short-term career move or while looking for a home. After living here in 2016-2017, we returned in 2022 to prices through the roof and and a steep decline in the property: Trash in garages, non-working key fobs (the place had to leave garage and entry doors wide open from March-August due to the time it took Equity Residential to replace the aging fob system), strange cars parked in your reserved parking space, missing lights in elevators, dirty hallways with cracking paint, a noisy film-and-TV location set across the street. . . . . . . . dog piss and poop in elevators, false fire alarms at all hours and often, thumping bass music beneath us, disastrous package room, roaches and spiders running loose -- all of it eliciting little more than a shrug from the leasing office. Btw, the "new" fobs don't always work either. Prepare to be locked out. While Equity Residential hasn't attended to these issues with any urgency, it raises rent by a substantial percentage each year, which in turn fuels the transience here, with most ppl leaving after a year or two. One big plus is that the maintenance staff is very nice -- really sweet guys -- prompt and courteous. The other high notes are the very pretty palm trees on Pacific Concourse Drive. If you rent anywhere but the 4th (top) floor prepare to be literally stomped on. Weird construction seems to magnify heavy footsteps. People above us stomped like giants to the point our walls shook. Crowds and disruptions from film crews across the street (who came in after a branch of Siemens corp vacated their offices) are ongoing. One crew set up to film a car commercial on a Friday evening; taking over the entire (public) street, then had production assistants prevent Pacific Place residents from driving in or out. Leasing office provided zero warning to tenants that they might not be able to access their cars or the building on this day. Imagine you're heading to work but you're blocked from exiting your own garage? Or you have to get in, but your street is closed off till "we get the next shot." Avoid this overpriced place. read more

Expensive, old and in dire need of renovations. To briefly set a stage: it's 3am on Monday before a long work week. Then an alarm sounds. Not a fire alarm, since that would draw attention and therefore must be attended to. This is a door alarm, and it will ring for hours or even days at a time. Audible from nearby apartments, even several floors up, this brave little alarm blares his warning into the night, which no one will respond to. Positives: - Nice location next to freeway and pretty quiet in the surrounding area. - Some tenants are very friendly - The inside of the complex is pretty to look at. - Generally a quiet place to live and nice atmosphere - It's the first apartment living with my girlfriend so it got an extra star for that. Negatives: - Fire alarms going off for no reason constantly sometimes in the middle of the night for hours - A package room where you will spend 15-20 minutes looking for your package that is sometimes just not in there at all because it was stolen or put in a place you'll never find it. With all the rent raises you would assume they could afford package lockers like any other "luxury apartment." - The workout equipment/gym is a joke. Worked out yesterday, 2 of the 3 treadmills were broken, the elliptical was making tons of squeaks and other loud noises, I almost fell off of the only bike in there because the seat adjustment is broken and falls back to the lowest level once you sit on it, they removed all of the weights because someone stole some. Again with all of the rent hikes we get you'd assume we would be able to afford some half decent workout equipment here. - People here just let their dogs piss and crap all over the place, hallways, pool areas, elevators you name it. Then the trash rooms are always filled with random trash bags and pieces of trash because people are too lazy or dumb to throw it in the trash chute. - Broken/rickety elevators are a constant. I've seen multiple people get stuck in them just glad it was never me. - Ant infestations are pretty common, I see tons of roaches outside the complex when I walk around luckily I haven't seen any inside the apartment. - the staff working in the office are nice about 50% of the time and rude the other 50%. We've had more issues with them than I care to list here. Overall the people who run this place just don't care enough to make improvements. Rents go up and quality goes down. They refuse to address any issues and just don't seem to care about anything unfortunately. That being said it's not the worst place if you want somewhere fairly quiet to live for a while and don't order many packages or like to workout. Update: just a few days after posting this I had a package stolen again. Amazon took a picture of where they left it and sure enough nowhere in sight. Lowered my review of this place to 1 star. read more

Despite the lovely exterior, There is a terrible cockroach infestation in this apartment complex. From the first day I moved in. In February. Very very gross. I don't want to spend too much time writing about this as I already spent a lot of energy with Orkin appointments, movinvisits to the leasing office and stomping on roaches everywhere (in the dishwasher, cupboards, floors...everything) I guess I should feel grateful that they let me out of the lease. On the plus side, a nice location next to highways / LAX for travelers. Unfortunately, it ends around there. - Fire alarms going off multiple times per month (including once at 4:30am). This is probably related to the smoking point below.... - Despite being a "nonsmoking" apartment, we smell smoke constantly and actually see people smoking on the premises nearly once a week. We've reported this to management in person and in writing, several times. They're either too lazy or too incompetent to do anything about it. - Free-for-all package room is somewhat ridiculous - Elevators are broken down a couple times a month, way more than anywhere else I've lived In short, I would recommend staying away (unless you're a smoker seeking a non-smoking building, then you'll fit right in). Management hasn't addressed the main issues at all, let alone at anywhere near the level you'd expect from a reasonable landlord. Honestly when I first was planning to move to Los Angeles I was very hesitant on where to live since I was going to live on my own and moving from Irvine the most safest city ever I wanted somewhere safe and clean and nice and luckily I found Pacific Place apartments! Best part is all units have washer and dryer in unit I personally would never live anywhere that doesn't. My unit has a huge kitchen which has stainless steel appliances which is very important to me because I love to cook. It has been such an amazing experience with Toni in the leasing office she is always reliable and amazing. I am moving out of Los Angeles but I would definitely recommend this apartment complex if your looking for something really nice and a safe and clean area! read more

The maintenance staff in particular is really what gets this place such a high rating. They are some of the most genuine, sweet people I've ever encountered. They make you feel safe when allowing them into your home. They are very respectful of your space and if anything is damaged during fixing they immediately replace. They work quick and keep you in the loop if the fix is not immediate. Miguel and Francisco in particular are some of the best staff this apartment could ever have! read more

I've been here 5 months now and honestly it's been nice. From the moment I stepped foot to the property to writing this Yelp review everything has been outstanding. Zero complaints. BIG BIG SHOUT OUT TO MIGUEL G AND THE MAINTENANCE TEAM. You guys are awesome!!!! I make a service request for 2 things, hallway light and garbage disposal at 11pm Sunday night. 10am Monday morning everything fixed. Service at its finest. Thank you guys!!! It's not the 1st time maintenance has done an amazing job. Not much goes wrong but like anything electronics and shit happens but they fix it quick. It's been a great stay so far! *bark bark bark* I hear... Pet friendly apartments! Yay! I've been to a friend's luxury apartments before so I was not surprised how Pacific Place Apartment was like. But what surprised me the most was helloooo, there's a DVD rental box outside. O_O Toured around the place and find that...There's - Recreation room: pool table, shuffle table, kitchen and tv+sofa note: can be reserved for parties, just need to rsvp and be on the waiting list! - a whole theater room with a popcorn maker and theater feeling seats. Guys, you can bring your own booze inside! Just need to let the lobby know that everyone inside is at age. When I say everyone, that means show your ID kiddos. Yes, gotta rsvp too. - Gym: ha! They have a game built into one of those running bike things. Where you can choose to get chased by a monster or run faster or play a game while you're running. LOL that sounds pretty cool. - Pools and jacuzzi : first sat at the lobby, and we saw steam coming out of the pool. Holy smokes...heated pools! ahhh thumbs up :) So...I really don't see why you wouldn't want this place. Just make sure whoever you're living with is someone you want to live with and not just because you both want to use the place just to partay. read more

Too many dogs here wake you up in the morning! on the weekend 5am in the morning all you hear is barking and no one does anything about it...very annoying. the apt complex is nice, but a lot tenants brings their friends and have loud pool parties, (when each tenant is allowed 2 guests). security staff doesnt do anything, just walk around and look important. sometimes i don't feel safe at all...a lot of random people walking around smoking weed who look like high school thugs you'll see randomly as you walk around the complex. cell phone reception is poor. internet speed is slow. there's nothing around the apt complex...you have to drive to see a store. overall its just "Meh"...the building is nice but im sure theres better places out there... but if you have a dog, this must be heaven. 12-17-13: updated: the dog issue has been address and this issue has been getting better...no more crazy dogs barking in the morning for now ... I moved into PPA in December of 2020 and they gave me an amazing promotion which made it very worthwhile. The leasing manager, Chaunte was great and very easy to work with.... the process was done in days. The complex is set up for dog owners which is one of my requirements in addition to AC and W/D in unit. It's pretty clean mostly but as with all larger living complexes, the cleaning crew works non-stop to deal with the mess that careless residents create. It's more about the inconsiderate residents that are the problem, not the building management or cleaning services. The maintenance is fast and I have never had a problem. The location is very convenient to LAX, the 405 and the El Segundo - Manhattan Beach corridor with all the shopping on Rosecrans and the Point. I never have to go more than a few miles to find all my necessities and local services. The beach areas are super close and an easy Uber ride away. The units are high ceilings which I love! And the carpet is new and spacious bathrooms, unlike the older buildings down by the beach areas. Parking is a bit of a hassle for guests so that's the only downside. Sound can sometimes be an issue with the 2 pool areas but it's nothing unreasonable. The area is a bit dicey at night since it's right next to the freeway and some more industrial areas but I think that since it's gated and in an office complex it's not too bad considering the amenities, it's just apartment living! read more

Moved in this Feb 2020 (right before quarantine!) and after 10 months, I figured I'd right a review because this place ROCKS! Why do I like it here? - No Cockroaches / Bugs / Pests ! - AC / Heating Unit (with a Google NEST)! - In-Unit Washer / Dryer! - 2 Pools / Hot Tubs! - Free Gym! (however it is currently closed for Covid) - Service requests are addressed Same Day! (this may vary for others) - Garage Parking! - Weekly food trucks!! - Close to LAX! - Close to El Segundo! (Specifically Rock N Brews) Things that suck? - Fire alarms go off sometimes... typically when a front door is opened to let smoke out of the kitchen - Sometimes people smoke weed from their balconies and you can smell it. While this place looks alright from the surface I personally wouldn't recommend living here. They're clearly in a transition period (i hope). But if you want to hear constant construction, always have elevators out of service, your fire alarm to go off at 8am for no apparent reason, constant beeping noises that you can't quite locate the source from and god forbid you want a package here having it actually come to the "secure" package room is a nightmare. My unit was also dirty when I moved in despite it being "newly refurbished". and anything they didn't actually "refurbish" was broken or missing. read more

Detailed review below, but tl;dr, this is the best apartment complex you can rent from in South Bay, and if I had not moved out of state for a new job, I would have stayed for a long time to come. The apartment itself (5/5) --- absolutely no complaints. The units are gorgeous, well-made, and the in-unit washer/dryer and central air is incredible. The pictures you see on the leasing page are very accurate to the quality that you get. No bugs (other than a stray spider), nothing in bad condition, all-around wonderful to live in. I especially loved the floor plan (so spacious!), the high ceilings, and the large windows. Maintenance (5/5) --- I didn't have to call much at all, but the team was always prompt and friendly. Parking (5/5) --- The garage was well-lit, well-maintained, and this complex was one of the few places where I could pay for an extra assigned parking spot. Price (4/5) --- For LA, it is what it is (read: very expensive). You do at least really get what you pay for! Mail (4/5) --- The package room is tough during the holidays, but on the whole well-maintained. Never had any issues with stolen items. It could be hard to find things if they got put in the wrong section, though. Cleanliness (5/5) --- Other than the occasional dog having an accident in the hallway or a bag of trash left in the chute room, the complex was kept very clean. Exterior noise (5/5) --- I lived on a corner facing the airport and the 405, and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. The insulation is really excellent. Interior noise (3/5) --- This is where my review drops from 5 to 4. One, the fire alarms go off pretty frequently, because if one unit has a smoke alarm go off and you open the front door... the whole building goes off. Dozens of alarms, only one was ever real. Usually they turn off pretty fast, and you get used to "crying wolf," but it could be annoying. Secondly, I had the WORST downstairs neighbors. It sounded like living on top of a club with how much the furniture shook due to the bass system. If I had stayed, I would have had to move units or call the police. Which leads to the next sections... Management (4/5) --- Overall I was impressed with the responsiveness and friendliness of the front office for most issues, but for the noise issue specifically, I left my lease perplexed. I was told that "after enough noise complaints, the problem tenants would not be allowed to renew their lease," but then was later told this was not true. It's hard to say if there was ever going to be reparation for the noise issue, which was disappointing. Security (5/5) --- The security patrol was AWESOME though. Every single time I had to call about the noise in the middle of the night, the guard would ALWAYS show up and do everything possible to get my neighbors to turn the sound down. It truly made a huge difference and I'm grateful for their responsiveness. On the whole, truly a great place to live, and my issues really were just my specific unit. I have friends in other parts of the building who did not have any noise problems. read more

My review is for the maintenance team Francisco and Roberto. These guys are great! Francisco and Roberto helped me with maintenance issues and they also helped me with something else. They did something that wasn't in the job description and helped me with a huge package that I had delivered. Fed Ex guys put the huge box in the mail room and it was a couch. Francisco and Roberto delivered it into my apartment with absolutely no problem so I'm very very pleased and happy with them for helping with that. Thanks guys! read more

PRO: Location CON: Primarily the person at the leasing office, Toni. My girl and I were apartment hunting today (Sunday 1/20), and we came across Pacific Place. We got there at 4:30pm, I understand leasing offices usually close at 5pm, so we weren't necessarily expecting them to fit us in for a tour but at the very least to give us some basic information about the place, like a map of with the units available and their corresponding monthly rents. We were rudely welcomed by Toni, she couldn't wait to get rid of us with her condescending and dismissive attitude. She told us since we didn't have an appointment she wasn't going to be able to give us a tour and told us to come back during the week. I told her we don't have time to come in during the weekdays and instead of presenting us a different option she just repeated the exact same thing. I asked if she could just give us a map of the building and brochures at least for now (which wouldn't take her more than literally a couple of minutes.) She said she didn't have time for that. I've been to at least 10 different apartments in the last few weeks and the people at the leasing office always go the extra mile to make sure to provide you with info. I asked her if we could at least walk around the building to get a feel for it, she unwillingly agreed. I asked if we could use the door right behind her, she told me in a scolding manner to use another door because "everyone else uses the other." I don't live there, how the hell am I suppose to know that. I told her I didn't care for her attitude. She "apologized" in the fakest way possible. We went around the place, the halls are dirty, dog poop all over the place, the paint peeling off, broken bottles on the ground, the list goes on. On the way out we saw Toni talking to a current resident and she was just as rude and dismissive. After we left we started reading the horrible reviews about this place and most of the bad ones describe how rude Toni and the other staff members are towards the residents so her superiors are aware of the problem and yet she's still working there so that says a lot about the management at this place. It goes without saying but we are definitely crossing this place off our list. read more

READ THE FINE PRINT. I want to help you avoid wasting $600. If an apartment here isn't your first choice, hold off on applying for an apartment at Pacific Place until you are sure you want to live there. I applied for a one bedroom 735 sq ft apartment on Friday, June 29th that wouldn't be available until August 10th. I was approved on Saturday, June 30th for the apartment. That was in less than 24 hours later! I wasn't expecting to get approved so quickly. I hadn't heard from my first choice because it was only Saturday (the next day) after applying for any apartments. I failed to call Pacific Place by Sunday July 1st to let them know I didn't want the apartment because I hadn't heard from my first choice yet. So knew I was going to lose the $600 deposit because I wanted to see if I got my first choice before let Pacific Place apartment go. I informed the leasing consultant in person on Saturday, July 7th that I did not want the apartment. I was not able to get even a portion of my money back. They kept all of it despite the apartment wouldn't be available August 10th. On top of that, they increased the rent on the apartment I let go $2410! That's $40 more that what I would have paid a month. It's a genius way of making extra mon read more
