MEDIOCRE doctor at best. Even his before and after photos are underwhelming. I find it hard to believe that these "five star reviews" come unsolicited... If you have any sort of post care complication he will automatically label you as a difficult patient and do everything he can to avoid office visits with him directly. When attempting to schedule a follow-up, Dr. Miranda was always either unavailable or my appointment would be canceled for "unforeseen" events. The patient care aspect is not there. It feels very transactional. I highly suggest looking elsewhere for a professional Doctor that yields results that MATCH the price point and has compassion for patients. read more

I have been a patient with Pacific Plastic Surgery group for almost 2 years and have had 3 different procedures. Two hair transplants and a breast augmentation. Each time Dr Miranda, and at the time, Dr Dudas, were very thorough and thoughtful when listening to my needs and wants while managing expectations. They always provide all the information you need for recovery and what you can expect post op. When i had a question about a dressing, they responded within 10 mins. Sometimes they can be busy and thats understandable but I always feel well cared for. The office staff as well have been absolute angels helping me navigate insurance, they really go the extra mile. My experience was not good either. I did liposuction before my wedding. I was well attended and the staff was very nice, but the results of my procedure was not good. I spent a lot of money and 4 months later my stomach didn't even look like it had done liposuction I went back there to talk to the doctor and they measured my stomach size and it was the same, in other words, the procedure was not good. My belly still the same, looking like I never did northing before. I'm writing today as I'm looking for another place to do it again and I'm very sad that I spent so much money and didn't get what I was expecting and was promised by them. read more

I discovered this place a while back and have had 7+treatments here. My experience back then was wonderful. So much so, that I was willing to make the hour+ commute (not to mention being stuck in traffic for a few hours on my commute back) just to be seen by the PA, Beata. She was professional and answered all of my questions. When I moved to SF, I knew I wanted to be seen by Beata again. Unfortunately she is no longer at Pacific Plastic Surgery Group. But since I had such wonderful experiences, I decided to call and was warmly greeted by Bella over the phone. Everything went smoothly until I arrived at my appointment today (1/28/2021) at 1pm. I had confirmed that the appointment was for 1-1:30pm multiple times and based on my previous visits, the appointments were even shorter than this. When I arrived at 12:55pm, I was told that the PA, Katelyn, was running behind and that it would only be a few minutes. Knowing that I came a bit early, I told the front staff that it wasn't a problem and in my mind, I thought she was finishing up with a patient. However, as I sat waiting to be seen, I can hear front desk talking to Katelyn over the phone letting her know that her patient was already here to be seen by her. This was 1:10pm. A kind medical assistant took me into the room and did a wonderful job at helping me as best as she can. I tried to be understanding and waited...all the way until 1:40pm....until I couldn't wait any longer. I left the room and walked to the front desk and while I was walking there, I saw Katelyn coming out of the elevator, clearly showing that she had just arrived to work. I understand if there's a delay and I received a call before coming into the clinic to communicate whether it was ok to delay my appointment or reschedule, but after multiple "it will just be a few more minutes", it became abundantly clear that no one knew exactly when she would have arrived. I told the medical assistant that at this time, I could not wait any longer because it was getting ridiculous. 45 minutes I had waited. She was extremely apologetic, but honestly, it wasn't her nor the front desk that should have been apologetic. Up until then, my experience with this clinic was great. And I knew everyone was doing everything in their power to try and fill in the long gap until Katelyn's arrival. I can see everyone's effort in coming up with excuses for Katelyn's late arrival, but by that time, I had already spent about 50 minutes at the clinic. Time that I took out of my busy day to make sure I arrived early (as I understood one person's late arrival causes a ripple effect for patients after them to be seen by their medical providers, let alone the provider being late for their first patient post-lunch). Later on, I received a voicemail from Katelyn asking to give her a call back to discuss the appointment. When I called, I was greeted by front desk. They were apologetic and I decided to reschedule another appointment with them. But then afterwards I was told "again, we're sorry but there was miscommunication on both ends and for the future, appointments are an hour long and not 30 minutes". This would have been a good excuse with new patients, but I wasn't a new patient. I responded by saying that I had confirmed multiple times when I had initially made the appointment, letting them know that I was an existing patient and also letting them know my availability was from 12-1:30pm. I had confirmed and booked 1-1:30 because I was told the office was closed from 12-1pm for lunch. After saying that, Bella said, "well I'm not sure who said that" when we both knew that she was the one that made the appointment for me. Even if it was an hour long, I had already waited 45+ minutes. What would Katelyn have done in the 10-15 minutes that was left if it normally takes an hour for the appointment? Had everyone been honest and asked if I wish to reschedule or have given me a realistic wait time, I would have appreciated the honesty and walked away with only my commute time being wasted, but instead I wasted 1.5 hours. It's one thing to own up to a mistake and be given a second chance- I believe I was as understanding as possible- but it's another to be fed a ton of excuses and told that it was partially my fault for what had happened today. After thinking about everything, I called back and cancelled my rescheduled appointment due to the lack of professionalism. read more

There are times that I say to him - "I wish you were my Primary" and he laughs and says at times "I think I have been." UNEVEN COOLSCULPTING RESULTS due to machine MALFUNCTION. I waited 3+months to give the procedure time to work and see the results before I wrote this review. The malfunction could have been prevented had the medical assistant, Katelyn investigated what I was telling her before the treatment started. She was having trouble getting the "cards" to work on both Coolsculpting machines (she even said that we may be only able to use one machine instead of two because she was having issues) but eventually she was able to figure it out...at least that's what she said. I alerted her when she hooked up the Coolsculpting applicators to my abdomen that one side was suctioning stronger than the other and that one side was also making some type of vibrating/cycling sound while the other wasn't. She brushed me off. About 10-15 minutes into my session, I noticed a chime/bell coming from one of the machines. When I managed to twist around to look at the machine behind me, I noticed an error message. I do not know exactly how long it was there for as the alert bell that was going off could easily blend into the background. I was strapped to the machine on both sides so could not get up to alert someone. I felt ridiculous yelling for help as no one was anywhere around. Fortunately, I had my cell phone within reach and called the front desk. When the assistant came back she recalibrated the machine and added 10 minutes to the side that malfunctioned like it was no big deal. How did she know how long it was malfunctioning for? I don't even know how long it was and I was actually in the room. Her guesstimate actually turned out to be wrong as is evident from the asymmetric results. When I brought this issue up to Bella at the front desk, her response was, "the applicators pop off from time to time, it happens". I let Bella know that the applicator never "popped off" in my case and that there was an issue from the beginning but I don't think she listens very well. Besides, if they are aware that the applicators can pop off at times, then someone should be monitoring the patient while they are on the table or at least give them a way to contact them should anything (any type of malfunction) happen...COMMON SENSE. She said she would get back to me with a resolution after talking to Dr. Miranda but.... still waiting. I specifically went to a plastic surgeon's office to do have this procedure done instead of doing the Med spa group coupon route to prevent stuff like this from happening. You need to do better by your patients Pacific Plastic Surgery. read more

Quick update. It would have been *really nice* if the receptionist had informed me that they weren't in my insurance network. The only reason I went for followups here was because the doctor was seeing me while I was in the hospital. If I would have known it wasn't in my insurance network, I would have found another doctor to see, since the deductible and charges are kind of insane. Learned my lesson about making sure *before* the appointment, but it would have been helpful if they'd have let me know when they took my insurance card. read more

I recently scheduled a consultation visit with Dr. Miranda. Most doctors, I feel, are always in a rush to get you out of there. Dr. Miranda was not one of them. We talked about the procedure, all my questions/concerns were addressed, and other information was given to me that I hadn't even thought of. We even talked about parts of my personal life (traveling, kids, work, school) which was very nice. I was able to schedule my procedure a week later! Kelly, Tori, my nurse & anesthesiologist were all really sweet. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my breast augmentation, Dr. Miranda is an excellent surgeon! Finding a plastic surgeon willing to accept worker's compensation was a bit of a challenge, but I was so very happy when I found out that I could be treated at Pacific Plastic Surgery Group! I came to Dr. Miranda for a facial scar revision, and from the moment I arrived I knew I was in great hands. I was nervous because I have melanated/ African American skin, and I was worried about finding a doctor that knows how to work with ethnic skin....especially on the face. The office is clean and sleek. The front staff are friendly and responsive, as well as all of the medical staff. I received several calls leading up to my appointment for my procedure making sure I knew what to do to prepare. My prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy the week before the big day too. I love that the the surgery center is in house! No seperate trips to the hospital, especially with Covid going on. The day of my procedure the nurses made sure I was informed and comfortable. Everyone who interacted with me was professional and had great bedside manner. I have no recollection of the procedure but was given just the right amount of sedative. I was alert and able to move under my own steam minutes after being brought-to. After coming home staff called and checked on me several times over the course of a few days, and reminded me of my follow up. Dr. Miranda's work is super clean and neat; I am so happy with it! Dr. Miranda told me that I will always have a scar there, but that his job was to improve it and make it as inconspicuous as possible. It takes a full year minimum for a scar to mature. So, have a ways to go with the natural healing process as my new and improved "Mirandized"scar matures. I will update this review when I have before and after pics in the future. read more

I never write reviews but I felt I had to make an exception for Pacific Plastic Surgery Group. I've been coming here for about a year now and they are the best. I feel so welcome and at home every time I walk into those doors. Every single staff members seems to know my name and is genuinely interested in me as a person! I first went to see Alyson for a facial and let me tell you.. she is good! We've been doing microdermabrasion for a while now and my skin has cleared up so much. So far, every time I've left her office, I'll get complimented from random people (women and men at Starbucks, the grocery store,..) on how amazing my skin looks. Last time we did a UV-light treatment and Alyson told me it would take about 2-3 days to see full results. And sure enough, someone complimented me on my skin today (2 days later) and asked what I did to keep it so glowing. I've also had lip fillers done by Dr. Alex and I'm obsessed with the results! I once told Alyson I was thinking about it during a facial and she immediately went to get Dr. Alex so he could answer all my questions. He then told me to go home and think about it and do some more research which I appreciated a lot. He wasn't pushy at all and it made me even more confident he'd be the right person to go to. About a week ago, I visited PPSG for a tear duct/tear trough filler treatment to correct some under eye bags/hollowness I had developed. I could not be happier with the results! Stage one complete! I was referred to Dr. Miranda for my body transformation by 2 friends who went to Pacific Plastic Surgery for breast implants. I had gastric sleeve (weight loss surgery in 2013) which resulted in 120lb weight loss & now I am looking to Dr. Miranda to complete my physical transformation. For Stage One I had 350cc anatomical implants installed just over 2 weeks ago & I will have Stage Two, the lover body lift, done in a few months. Dr. Miranda does a great job of explaining what's going on & his patient coordinator, Tori, has been lovely. Dr. Miranda is all business & very professional. Wouldn't recommend this place for scar revision. I got two scars on my back excised in one surgery. One as a keloid, the other was a new scar from an accident. For the keloid removal, one of the sutures came undone a few hours after the surgery! The wound healed open, so instead of a nice thin line, it's a large, eye-drop shaped, and hypopigmented. For the new scar, the revision ended up being so much worse -- deeper and darker than before; consultations with a few other doctors made it clear that it should have never been surgically revised, given the area of the back has a lot of tension. Rather, it should have been just treated with lasers and creams. It was overall a very disappointing experience and I regret coming here. read more
