Die to civi I came off of Humira and the inflammation came into my eye. I had overused my steroid prednisolone drops and my eye pressure went through the roof. That created major new problems for my eyesight ad I went back to Dr. Boyer last week. He knew what to do. I got on 5 new pressure medicines and I (figures crossed) am hopeful I will be ok. It is a scary feeling losing one's sight over a couple of weeks. Luckily we have DR Boyer that has much experience in this field. He is working even through the pandemic. He is dedicated. He is knowledgeable. I hope for the best.

I cannot recommend this practice based on my experience…read more During my last visit, the physician did not perform an eye examination. A technician performed retinal imaging and a vision test and told me there were no changes from my previous visit, when I had been examined by a reputable retina specialist who no longer works at this practice. I was not examined by the physician, Dr. Benjamin, who was on site that day. Afterward, I obtained my medical record and found multiple diagnoses that are incorrect and would require an eye examination to diagnose. The chart also documented symptoms and conditions that I did not have. What alarmed me most was that I was provided with a tear duct scan that did not belong to me. The scan was timestamped after I had already left the office, and the patient's name appeared to be handwritten rather than printed by the imaging system. This raised serious concerns for me about the practice's recordkeeping, patient privacy, and the accuracy of my own medical record. The practice also refuses to produce the native imaging with patient PII embedded in the images.

I just left this eye provider, and I'm honestly furious and heartbroken over how I was treated…read more I've never walked out of a doctor's office feeling this dismissed, unheard, and disrespected. When the doctor finally called me, he barely acknowledged me and just said, "have a seat in a room,". No "hi, hello or how are you" An assistant came in after a while -- and honestly, she was the only bright spot of the whole experience. She was kind, personable, and actually made me feel human. But after that, I got moved into ANOTHER small waiting area that was dark -- no lights on, just the hallway lighting -- and I could hear staff yelling back and forth, even discussing patient information out loud. Just not what I have experienced at normal offices. When the doctor finally called me again, he didn't even bother showing me where to go. He just looked at me, said nothing, and when I smiled and said hello, he replied with, "yeah, go there." Once in the room, he asked how I was doing, and when I said "good and yourself," he actually said, "obviously not, you're here -- what's wrong?" The tone was rude and completely unnecessary. He spent maybe two minutes total looking at my eyes. Then he said, "you have this in one eye and it's showing in the other," and that was basically it. No explanation, no education, no time to ask questions. Just a simple "what else do you want me to do" I had to pull information out of him just to understand what he was even talking about. It honestly felt like he couldn't have cared less about being there. And the part that really set me off -- while I was talking, he pulled out his phone. Not to look something up, not to show me anything -- just on his phone, like he was texting, saying "yeah" as I was speaking. It was beyond disrespectful. I came here worried about my eyes, looking for answers and reassurance. Instead, I was rushed, dismissed, and made to feel like an inconvenience. I left more anxious than when I arrived. No patient deserves to be treated this way -- especially when they're coming in vulnerable and trusting someone with their health.
