She dismissed me, scared me about what was going on and then tried to sell me on an expensive laser light treatment that I couldn't afford. Her parting words to me were "the good news is that you have really good insurance, so that when you start to lose your eyesight all the treatment will be covered". She only saw dollar signs, not a human being. I will go somewhere else for treatment where they see a person, not a profit center.

Dr. Kandavel did a phenomenal job with my cataract surgery!…read more I had a complicated case: a very very dense, fibrotic cataract; a long axial length; and a small pupil. I was completely blind in one eye and had severe anxiety about the surgery, the possible complications, and wait times. Dr. Kandavel took my super emo, erratic behavior in stride and gave me an excellent outcome. I have sharp, clear vision with 0 complications. In fact, my vision is better than we both expected; I have 20/20 vision and can still read items on my cell phone. I had no pain or blurring after surgery, which is unusual since I experienced both during cataract surgery on my other eye (performed by a different surgeon). Even though he's an in demand surgeon, Dr. Kandavel has zero ego. He is as humble as can be. I'm sure my armchair expert attitude drove him batty, but he was very diplomatic, never condescending, and always sought to explain things for greater clarity. He asks questions and actually listens! He cares for his patients and how they feel and checks in with you to see how you are. Most people don't know this, but Dr. Kandavel's first name is Ganesha. In Hindu mythology, Ganesha is the remover of obstacles, bringer of good luck, and the God of new beginnings. Dr. Kandavel is the perfect embodiment of his name. I had the worst experience in my life with him. Which I can't call him a doctor, I am more comfortable to call him demon Samimi, not doctor. He entered my life like a devil. My ophtalmologist had me to go to him, since after a hit to my eyes a very small portion of the swelling still existed. I was not planing to do anything, since it was shrinking and almost gone, but this ophtalmologist Dr David Paikal got so persistent for me to go to this supposedly Ocluplastic surgeon to see if anything could be done to remove the very tiny swelling. On my consultation, Samimi immediately said, it's filler and there is an enzyme that can dissolve it. I was happy that it had an easy solution.They scheduled me for the following week for my procedure. When He entered the room, I realized that he was in a very bad mood. I asked him, why he was in bad mood. He said the patient he just saw came with a few family members and asking many questions, which he already had answered those questions. Obviously very impatient doctor, that can easily loose his temper. After finishing the injection. He said he has to get fat from my legs and inject to my eyelids. I was shocked what he was saying, which we haven't discussed about that, and was not part of the plan, and asked him why, he just left the room quickly. When I got home, I saw all my eyelids are so swollen, red and the skin turned dark, which I have a very fair skin. There was also a deep, dark hollow below my eyelids, the tissue were sinked inside and some area were even darker like a hole. I called and talked to his staff Jimmy. Jimmy asked me to take some photos and email them. I told Jimmy obviously he dissolved the fat on my eyelids . At the end of the day this demon Samimi called and was apologetic, was saying he sympathize with me. Apology and sympathy doesn't help me and won't make my eyes to go to the way they used to be. The staff called me a few times to setup appointment for him to see me, of course I wouldn't go back to him after this shitty work. It's almost 40 days after the procedure and I have been trying to set up appointment with a few other Ocluplastic surgeons. They all ask me to take photos and email them, so far they all refused to see me, they just sent me email, saying the doctor can't help me. I believe, they know this case turn to lawsuit and they don't want to be part of the law suit, or witness. Therefore, they don't even want to have a consultation with me. I am so traumatized and frustrated and can't find any other doctor that can help me. I have been suffering a lot b/o this situation. The process for lawsuit we all know is a few years and I can't live this way with what this incompetent, supposedly doctor created on my eyes. To me he is not a doctor, he is a demon The second day after the procedure again this demon called me and left a message, saying we will see each other. Seems like, he knew no other doctor would accept me. And I might forced to go back to him, but over my dead body. Please Never go to this doctor, all he does just damage. I don't believe these reviews and before and after photos. We all know what these advertising companies can do with AI, I believe they are all AI and fake Well I will file complaint all different organization.
