The ambiance is sophisticated, with a moody and elegant design. The focal point of the main room is a striking limestone wall featuring a moon, illuminated trees, and large white king chairs. The space is filled with mirrors, adding to the overall aesthetic. However, the main room can be a bit noisy, and the dim lighting might make it difficult for some to read the menus. Service is notably slow, so it's best to visit when you have ample time. A good tip is to place your order as soon as the waiter arrives, as wait times can be long. Our experience took approximately two + hours, despite there being no wait to be seated and eating relatively quickly. Overall the food was good-fine. One of the dishes was the Bento Box: The tempura has a thicker, crunchier batter and the octopus slices with rice had a sweet, citrusy flavor and a thick rice texture--an interesting part worth trying. In the bento when choosing the six pieces, I got two white fish, tuna, shrimp, and fatty tuna. In addition to a ginger salad (okay) and miso soup. For the Hawaiian Roll, I wish it was a thicker mango sauce or thicker slices as the cream cheese overpowered all other flavors but it was good. Overall the atmosphere was great and the food was overall good, if not expensive from what I remember. I would go again, but there are other sushi places that I would choose over this.

Oriole roll on the left the only great item.

What an odd experience! We've been eating at Pacific Rim since it first opened. We liked the minimalist decor and the food. It had been about a year since we'd been back. We thought seating was comfortable but very ugly. The good: the Oriole roll, super light and fresh and the sake; the bad: the "shrimp" tempura was terribly bland and with three misshapen shrimp, and a giant zucchini half, fat chunks of sweet potato and squash, we ate it because we were starving. The green tea ice cream was a hard blob, impossible to eat. Our server was great, very nice and she knew that the food was mediocre!

What an elegant place across from Siesta key beach. Service was great. The Sushi and sashimi was super fresh. Haven't had this good quality in a long time. Miso soup, Siesta key roll, spicy tuna roll, edamame and coconut and green tee ice cream-all excellent.

Walking in, I was impressed by the atmosphere. The restaurant was extremely well laid out and the seating and decor was fun and modern. It would be good for family, date night, or even an event. You won't be disappointed by the environment. Our waitress was amazing - super knowledgeable about the menu and widely helpful. I went with family who had questions about every menu item and she was extremely sweet to give her opinion and insights. She was fantastic. I got the chicken Keow-Tiew and it was absolutely fantastic. I looove soup, especially in the fall and this was everything I'd hope for - warm, aromatic, flavorful, and full of chicken and veggies. Huge portion too! You won't be disappointed. My party also got the ribeye and the teriyaki chicken which they both enjoyed. I would say these are great options but I would opt for wok or sushi if you're looking for a more authentic meal.

An 11 out of 10... divine dining....at keast when we were there! Party of 4 and we were given an excellent table...comfy high back chairs and a panoramic view of the place...The sushi chefs were so busy...putting up some interesting and beautifully executed rolls, sashimi and dishes...it was Fruday night so very busy...reservations ahead of time are a must. Our server was Ana ( from Brazil ). She provided us with a white glove (figuratively speaking) setvice with no concerns here. She knew her menu, drinks etc. and helped us pair so many different dishes. I swear we tried so many dishes, each one as delicious if not better than the last. They serve Thai food also but our first visit...we were there for sushi!!! I am certain that it is amazing though. I believe a husband/wife team manage or own this restaurant and they made themselves visible all night to their guests...working the floor. (in a good way!) - Parking is tight...didn't see valet so call ahead for ideas on where outside of the lot is best to park...Fairly priced...I/we will be back to try the Thai food next. Tip well please. The team works hard to provide exceptional service... and a top quality experience.

The exterior of this place doesn't serve it justice, inside is pretty fancy. We called ahead to get a reservation but were told that there are only outdoor pots available, however when arriving on our scheduled time there were plenty of seats indoors so we opted in for that. Their martinis are class, would recommend toasted coconut, really good. The selection of maki rolls is top notch as well and all food was super fresh and served on a big plate garnished with orange. The only downside of this place is sometimes parking may be hard to find right by the restaurant so make sure you arrive 5 min early to find parking.

Nice lunch I received a very welcoming greeting when I walked in for lunch, always a good start to a meal. My hostess, who was also my server, did an excellent attentive job. I was seated in a room near the itamae sushi chef. High back chairs impeccably placed around their respective tables and large mirrors on one side gave the impression of a classy spacious place. For this visit I opted for their Wok lunch special with pork loin and their Garlic sauce, they offer 8 different sauce options. Additionally, I ordered a bowl of their Miso Soup. The soup was brought to the table in just a couple of minutes and it was delicious, great flavor. Once that was finished my lunch special was dropped off. While it didn't look like very much food, by the time I finished it I was satisfied I had enough to eat. It was also very good with tender meat and was easy to eat. All in all, it was a nice lunch.

Best sushi in Sarasota. My favorite place for drinks and sushi. Owners are great too.

We were very disappointed in the sushi. The spicy tuna was very fishy and mush. The drunken noodles and wonton soup were definitely better.
