Let's be honest -- you're here for the view, which is 6/5 stars. The wine is fine. Will I go back? Again and again.

Gorgeous scenery and gorgeous wines. We were staying in Westport and stumbled on this place on our travels. Would the wines match the incredible views? Absolutely. We bought a bottle of petite sirah and their whimsical It's My Fault. Two big reds with lots of tannins and complex flavors. We skipped the tasting but know they have a lot of whites as well. They allow you to bring your own food or you can buy some charcuterie. They also have lots of swag. The owners are super friendly and aim to please. Go!

Awesome, laid-back vibes & views. The staff was friendly & knowledgeable & their wines were good! Perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Weekend getaway! Love the scenery and vibes. Enjoyed the wines and of course brought some back! Our second visit and more to com

12 years ago we came here on our honeymoon. The tasting experience was ok as the guy doing the tasting was not very friendly or wanting to answer questions about the wine. We ended up not buying any. The views were amazing and our chat with Sarah the owne,r as we were leaving, and her dog was the highlight! Fast forward 12 years later we decided to visit again and the tasting experience was amazing!!! Annie was personable and knowledgeable. It was like sharing wine with a friend! We ended up buying 6 bottles and sharing one of the whites with our sammies on the deck! A delightful way to spend an afternoon. SO glad we decided to return.

What a fantastic winery!!! If you can survive the roads I highly recommend making the trek!! The views are perfect, the wine is enjoyable and the grounds are not what you'd think when visiting an Oceanside winery! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The prices were right! But let's be honest.. Sitting in an Adirondack enjoying the sounds of the ocean sipping something crisp and cold really can't compare!! I look forward to making this a must when I make my way up to the area again!!

Pacific Star Winery is absolutely gorgeous. The ocean views are exquisite. We arrived around 4:30, so we didn't do the full tasting, but we did order a bottle of wine for us. The service was friendly and quick. We all sat along the ocean ridge and enjoyed the views, oceans waves, and each others' company. We will defiantly be back! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Great patio with umbrellas and good music.

So maybe they don't allow dogs or kids, but we didn't have either with us and we loved it! Amazing views, lovely service, chill vibe and good wine. Highly recommend! Just follow their rules and you will enjoy it too!

The view from this winery was amazing! Stunning cliffside winery along the ocean. The indoor area has a charming rustic vibe. The wine tasting was also super affordable ($25 a person) and you're allowed to take the wine outside and sit. I never wanted to leave and just wanted to stare at the view all day! I bet it would be even prettier during sunset.

We drove 7+ hours from the Central Valley to the northern coast for the weekend and this was one of our must-stop destinations. We didn't have ideal weather as it was foggy and chilly but the winery was still worth the stop. The service was wonderful and the owners were so kind. Their dog, Sam, was so cute! The wine options were great and we took extra time to enjoy a bottle before heading out. Highly recommend stopping.

Wine snobs, pet owners, and parents beware! Average wine, animals not allowed, and children "discouraged". My 1 year old niece was kicked out by the owner due to a short amount of crying. Good views if it wasn't for the fog. This place seems like it has so much more potential.

This is a spectacular winery. The views are just as everyone else has noted. Really stunning location and gorgeous views of the ocean. The service is also excellent. Annie took great care of us, was warm and friendly, and really appreciated the wine maker's vision. The wine was good, but not my favorite style. The red blend I got a glass of started out tasting a little thin but really opened up and ended up being pretty nice. We arrived at the open so it may have just needed a little more time. We will definitely come back.

Ask the Community - Pacific Star Winery

I see the previous answer about dogs being allowed in a field. Can our small dog sit with us by the Adirondack chairs?

We’ve had too many problems with dogs on our property- there is an area of about 5 acres where dogs can be with you. We’ve provided 3 picnic tables and there is a view of the ocean from there. The temperature is around 55 on the coast so most people…

Hi, how can we make a reservation?

Didn't need to make a reservation. Just went during their hours of operation.

    Is this place dog friendly?

We have a large field where dogs are invited to roam. They are not allowed in the tasting area or in the cellar. Signs are posted.

How do i find out about renting that lil cottage you have onsite? I cant find any information about it other than what one of the wine tasters told me (that its for rent) when i was there

Please contact the winery directly, 707-964-1155.

Should you make a reservation? We'll be in Fort Bragg during the week of September 7-11?

No. There is plenty of tables. Some close to the tasting area and some close to the ocean

    Can you bring dogs?

    No sorry.

    Can you bring children?

Hi Mel, We welcome well-behaved children. In my experience, they get bored pretty quickly, so I suggest you bring something for them to do quietly. We try to maintain a…

Do they charge for wine tasting/serve food?

Hi Anita, We provide cheeses and smoked and cured meats from Roundman Smokehouse in Fort Bragg. Several types of crackers (one gluten-free) are available. Once here, many…

We were staying in Garberville and wanted to taste some Humbolt County wines. We call Briceland Vineyards to see if we could taste that same day. Andrew the winemaker was working on a project but was kind enough to accomodate us at 4pm (just 2 hours after our call). We arrived a bit late and he was there to greet us with a smile. He invited us to taste on is patio in front of the winery. He brought out two cases so we could try a variety of wines to include: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, PET Nat Sparkling, Rose of Pinot, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a bonus wine of Arneis. Its rare that you sit down with a winemaker for over and hour and learn about winemaking. He really educated our group. His wife brought out a beautiful charcuterie board with cheeses, meats, nuts and fruit. I am a wine member at many wineries in other California regions and have never experienced such GOOD winetasting. On top of that every wine we tasted we liked which is also very rare. The Sauvignon Blanc was light and grassy. The two Chardonnays were unlike the heavy oak and butter types that are too big. His red wines were smooth and not too high in alcohol. We left with several cases of wine. I will definitely visit Andrew again when we visit Humboldt County. I highly recommend a visit to Briceland Winery in the heart of Redwood Country.

We spent most of our room time outside enjoying the views and just soaking all of the beauty in. The Little River Inn is just down the road from Mendocino, and a short 10-15 minute drive to Fort Bragg. Perfect location for what we were doing that weekend. Staff was wonderful. The real surprise of the trip was the restaurant. I normally shy away from hotel restaurants, as I prefer to sample the local cuisine. However, we decided to give it a try our first night for Dinner. I was delicious and quite popular with the locals as well. I'll be doing a separate review for the restaurant, as I strongly recommend having at least one meal there. We ended up having two...lol.
