This place is wonderful! I need a place that appreciates my business. I work in administration, so I need daily a shirt, tie, wool slacks, occasionally a jacket. Service here is prompt, friendly, enthusiastic. I'm impressed by the details showing extra care, like the carefully placed clips to keep my shirts in shape. There are lots of cleaners around, so it takes a bit of effort to stand out like Pacific View Cleaners. I've shopped around a bit over the last 25 years; other cleaners are content to leave rings around the collar; not Pacific View. A candle spilled wax on right in the middle of an expensive duvet. My previous cleaner returned it without comment, leaving the wax untouched and charging me a small fortune. Pacific View got it back to me looking like new. Forever grateful. read more

I had three items dry cleaned for $79 dollars. I also brought military uniforms here and that was the last straw. I tried to explain the measurement s but they are not familiar with military uniforms. I even said I would provide a picture and place them where they need to be. I didn't feel Comfortable because they were not confident. The owner told me to go somewhere else. Service is horrible and items are overpriced. Go somewhere else. read more

The turnaround is quick & the lady at the front is very sweet. I had 2 jumpsuits & 2 short dresses cleaned and it was $68! They weren't special fabrics. In fact, 3 of the items were basic viscose/cotton. Absolutely insane. I also got the elastic on 3 skirts changed out, a shirt hemmed & a pair of jeans taken in for $114. The seamstress is great but I have never paid that much for tailoring (previously had the denim altered at the Levi's store for $25 but made the mistake of not trying them on before I left. But that's approx the going rate for denim). I also went to pick up the Sat before a holiday & they closed early, which was annoying. The holiday was on Tuesday! Online, the hours were not adjusted. I usually go to Port Town Cleaners & Toyo's for alterations. They are both great but thought I'd condense my errands as they are convenient to the grocery store & my home. Lesson learned. They get the job done but I can't imagine cleaning a jumpsuit should cost $17. read more

I normally don't write reviews but I had such a terrible experience here that I had to share. I got my wedding dress cleaned and boxed up here. The quality of the work was fine but the customer service was awful. The owner was extremely rude not only to me but to her very kind staff in front of customers. Very unprofessional. I took in a pair of shorts, they were pants that I cut into shorts. She charged me 18 dollars to do a simple hem! I was in a hurry and on my phone not paying attention to the pricing (my fault) so I called back, like an hour later to ask for my shorts back. They told me my shorts were not there , that they "out source" there alterations! They don't even do the work there. So I couldn't get my shorts back. Once they finally called me 2/3 weeks later "lame", i was very disappointed on the hem they did. I There is a tailor in front of that building that charges fair pricing for alterations. New to the area, about 6 months. My second time using them. Both times seemed quite expensive. Most recent I had 9 button down shirts laundered (no dry cleaning) and two slack for dry cleaning. Total bill was $55.50. To me it seems high, so I'll shop around. read more

I had to have bridesmaids' dresses and groomsmen's suits pressed after having been in suitcases. They needed to be pressed and ready in just a few hours, and they did it beautifully! They have also removed stains from a number of my items over the years. I highly recommend this cleaner because they are ALWAYS on time and polite. read more

Customers Beware! This place RUINED a special leather jacket that meant a great deal to me. My family has done business with them for many years and it was at least acceptable if they kept using them. I personally haven't done any business with them so I went off my family recommendation of a place that they knew was known to them. I asked the employees and owner specifically about the leather and that it needed a very gentle treatment and was assured it was something they could handle and would be taken care of with the utmost care no matter what. After getting the jacket back, within less than two weeks, it started to fall apart. The leather looked like it was tearing and melting all over... not just near seems or stress points. In fact, it was still in the protective plastic because it the weather wasn't necessary to wear it yet. I've owned lots of leather and never saw something like this. When the employees and owner were confronted, in a polite but firm way, they did not care one bit about what happened. We have used them before multiple times and gave them plenty of business in the past. I see lots of other reviews here too about this company has changed. Maybe they did good work before or it depended on what it was but not anymore!! Everyone is all thumbs up and happy until something goes wrong. It's during these times that truly show what a business is made of and what their morals are. Accidents happen and I understand that - but have the decency and proper customer service to make it right. The product was in their care and they screwed up either via negligence or intentionally poor work. I know exactly what it was like before and how it showed up afterwards within a couple weeks. And their poor treatment of me when I asked them about was terrible! This was not something I could forgive! As a special gift from my now-deceased wife, this meant the world to me. When I wear it, I feel like she's there to hold and comfort me. That's sappy I know but its how I felt and tried to express to them. When we told them we would not be doing business with them ever again, they denied they had any wrong-doing, never talked about trying to make it right, and when asked if they cared about what a long-time and loyal customer thought about them? They just glared at us (my family member and I who mentioned them) without a care in the world... the owner herself just looked right through us. She did not care one damn bit and you could see she was the one who was angry that I dare imply her work wasn't the best. I was very disgusted and will not only never do business with them but want to spread the word so I hope nobody has to be crushed like I felt losing something precious and then add insult to injury with this careless and rude treatment. If you have special clothing or leather you need cleaned or repaired, stay far far away from these CRIMINALS AND CROOKS! I can't believe after all the years our family has done business that they did not even express the slightest care in the world. These are sharks and liars who vandalize your property, have the nerve to charge you for it, and don't even care about your satisfication or prior loyalty. This is HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! UPDATE: I have reached out to Calvin Klein, who originally made the jacket, and they are working with me. They at least are gving me the courtesy and time of day to hear me out. I am sending them photos of damage and other info but they have already said it sounds like the leather was totally mistreated and not protected. It will help with a civil lawsuit and they have listened and are trying something when Pacific View Cleaners just shrugged it off and smirked at the misfortune. I'll be taking them to the cleaners before this is said and done. It's not over but please, if my story can help anyone, stay away from these nasty, greedy, and negligent crooks. #%$*@ You Pacific View!! read more

Found this company on Yelp. I did a bit of research since I was looking to have my wedding dress preserved. I love the fact that they are eco-friendly AND that they offer free pick-up and delivery service! You can't beat that! I called them up to ask a few questions, they were very helpful. I had them pick-up my dress and was told it would be ready in 2 weeks and they'd call me. They did indeed call me to let me know it was ready. I decided to go and pick it up for myself so that I could see their store. It was in a residential area up on a hill. (next to Von's which has a Starbucks!) I'm updating my review from 6 years ago because once again, Sandy has surpassed my high hopes with her alterations prowess! She never over-promises and she always over-delivers when it comes to quality of work. As for service, there often will not be someone standing at the desk waiting to greet you. However, the bell will ring when you walk in and trust me, someone is finishing a task in the back and making their way to you. Took a uniform to clean and the skirt had a dirty spot and when I pick up it was all dry clean but the spot was there. The worst part is the customer service. I show them that it was still dirty and they look at like it was a alien. Don't go !!!' read more

Great dry cleaners. Always do an amazing job. They put plastic forms on their hangers that make your shirts look really nice. They are fairly expensive however. Parking can be a pain too as they share a lot with several other stores. read more

We used this service for a couple of years until late last year when they lost our clothes and made no effort to return them. Recently we decided to give them another try and use their home pick up and delivery service. Two weeks in a row they failed to pick up or drop off our clothes. Best Dry-Cleaners in the Pedro/PV area. Are the cheap? No - BUT when you're spending A LOT of $$ on your clothing, it's the ONLY place to take them to. Want your silks or cashmere sweaters to look like the just walked out of the store? This cleaner will make it happen. Don't be that person who spends $1000 for a dress and then looks for a bargain dry-cleaning job that will ruin the dress after you've only worn it once. I used to go to another dry-cleaner in Pedro and after having them RUIN a $5000 Fendi Baguette Bag (I thought I was literally going to throw up when I picked it up and the bag looked like it had been thrown in a washing machine - Thank you San Pedro Cleaners!), I decided to STOP being CHEAP and find the best Cleaners possible. Lesson learned!! After finding this dry-cleaner, albeit pricey, I'll never go to another place. You want that Versace Dress you spent a small fortune on to be an investment piece that will last you 15 years? This place is for you. Your clothing will be CLEAN, FRESH & MINTY-MINT for years to come. I actually divide my Dry-Cleaning Clothing.... if it's an expensive, work or designer piece (that I paid a lot for), I take the item here. If it's a CHEAP (Forver 21 or H&M) Dry-clean Only item, I take it to Ace Cleaners in RPV. Ace doesn't do as nice a job as Pacific View (they SUCK with silks) but it's a lot cheaper. If you have a lot of silks in your wardrobe... this place is for you. NO ONE CLEANS/TREATS SILKS OR CASHMERE BETTER. Take all your fine/best clothing here and take your cheaper stuff (you know that dress you bought that was oh, so cute for $20 that you'd be a fool to spend $15 to dry-clean?) and take your cheaper stuff to that "bargain" place you saw advertised. This place was my go to dry cleaners for years. However something as changed recently. I had a jacket that needed the zipper fixed. When I picked up the jacket there were two holes in the jacket from cigarettes. I complained to the owner of the place and she told me tough we didn't do it here. I looked over at the guy that does all the alterations and he just shrugged at me. He's probably on a smoke break right now. Now i know for fact the jacket was fine when i took it to pacific view cleaners. Oh well i guess i'll have to replace the jacket and my dry cleaners. Horrible customer service! Expensive! Do not go here! Every single time I visited nobody was at the front counter and I waited a few minutes for someone to help me. They don't have a bell to ring or anything. I had to yell to the back. I took 4 pairs of pants to this place on a Thursday. The Woman tells me they will be ready by Monday morning. I ask if she is sure because I need to go out of town. She says yes. I come on Monday and of course they said they weren't ready. On top of that they charged me $6 per pair of pants. $24 total. I came back a week later to pick up my pants and when I paid the man said he didn't have change. So he told me that I needed to go to the Vons to get change. I was on a tight schedule so I was frustrated. I ran to Vons got in the shortest line I saw grabbed a magazine and on top of all this the damn magazine I grabbed was $15. It was not my day. So I went back in, now i'm running late. Nobody was at the front counter again. I said I should get some kind of discount for my trouble and he says, "Come on man get real, I'm busy." Give me a break. Get better service and better prices elsewhere. read more
