After living in the area for over 5 years I finally decided to do something about the terrible water quality. We called Pacific Water and was able to see our sales rep the same day. JD Showed up promptly and gave us a demonstration and water test after discussing the options we decided on a complete package included is a water softener, water filtration and drinking water system. We had it all installed by the next week. I used to be plagued with dry itchy skin after getting the system my skin and hair have never been better. After another issue with error on arrival time and office miscommunication, I was promised a call from the owner to discuss cancelling our service due to experience with office person. I love having Pacific Water. Especially the reverse osmosis (RO) water in the kitchen. I moved to Ventura from Northern CA, 2 years ago. Upon arriving to Ventura, I could not stand the taste of the water. I normally drink a lot of water, and practically stopped when I moved here. Which is crazy for me because I know the importance of drinking water. Bobbi Stevens came to the door and Pacific came to the rescue! When they first came to set up the whole house filter, they found that there was a waste water line, not set up properly on our washing machine in the garage. They went to the truck, got some parts and plumbed it the way it should have been set up. They had no obligation to fix it, but they wanted to make it right! I really like companies that go out of their way to do the right thing! We need more businesses that go out of their way to be professional. Everyone should use this company!! read more

I have been using this company for seven years and overall I've been pretty happy with them. I wish I could use names on Yelp! because my sales rep deserves some recognition. She has been with the company a very long time and is always available if I have questions or need anything. I rent a soft water tank and carbon filter. The quality of my water has improved drastically. The company uses quality equipment and I very rarely have to call them. The initial installation was rough. The staff plumber they sent out was friendly enough and did a quality job with the installation. However, he was messy as hell. He stained the walls throughout my garage (which is finished with drywall and paint). He also somehow stained my epoxied garage floor. When I called him out on it, he told me it is a garage and I can't expect it to stay so clean. I wasn't about to get into a fight with him. I wanted to paint a different color anyway. Before he left he apologized and offered to come back and help me fix the floor and paint. He was sincere and I appreciated his apology. (I didn't make him come back) A few years later, I upgraded for even better quality water and the plumber they sent out that time was excellent. The only real annoying thing about this company is the people answering their phones. I somehow always get the person who is pissed off at the world. Interrupts, doesn't listen, has a NO attitude. Everyone else in the company has a "what CAN we do" attitude. Eventually you get really pissed off...she comes around...and then hangs up on you. Someone must have dropped a house on her sister. This place is pricey. I suggest purchasing their equipment vs. renting. With my rental, I have probably paid twice the cost of my equipment. I didn't buy because of the initial outlay of cash required and I wasn't sure i would like the results. We have been customers of pacific water for 1 year. We purchased a soft water tank a year ago after we remodeled our bathrooms. The installer cleaned up the hose nightmare that harris left behind when we bought our place 10 years ago and didn't use their service. Pacific water even came out to re- pipe the return hose so we can still access our sewer line. Last month we purchase the reverse osmosis system after our "Home Depot" unit failed. Money well spent on both products. Bobbi was awesome in answering all our questions and the installers were all super friendly, clean and on time. I recommend them every chance I get! read more

Beware! I have weekly tank exchange. I happen to be home when the exchange was to take place. I watched the driver exit his truck and lock my garage door without exchanging the tank. I wonder how many times this has happened over the years. I called the office and it was "Oh Well". I guess they are used to having this done. We are in 2020 and still have to send payments in by check. How inconvenient! This is so ancient. The water is great, but the customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE. The rudest people on the phone number. Living in Ojai I keep having to wait for a service call, and they are absolutely unsympathetic and unhelpful. I've had a water drip where I lose a gallon a day, and am calling for my 3rd or 4th service call and am hostage for 4 hours while I wait. Technician always gets called to other locations first, and the lady on the phone is a HORRIBLE customer service person, terrible and snarky voice and attitude. Joe the salesman & Joe the service man came to our house and gave us excellent service for acquiring soft water. We used to have hard water which caused dryness and itchiness when we would get out of the shower. You would think we got bitten by Mosquitos, that's how dry our skin was! But thanks to Joe, he recommended the service to heal & cure our skin symptoms. He also gave a quick but very thorough test of the water we drink. It's more economical then buying water at the market. Impressive. Would we recommend the service to other consumers who aren't happy with their water. You bet! I am so thrilled to have a Pacific Water Reverse Osmosis filter in my home! I've wanted one for so long but always thought it would cost an arm and a leg. Then I heard about Bobbi the "water lady" who conveniently came to my home, tested my water, gave me a estimate that was way affordable! Only $595 for a unit under the sink (own it) or only $22 a month to rent. That covers installation and yearly maintenance!! I can't say enough good about the service. This company does not have qualified technicians!!! TWICE the technician didn't properly secure the tank and left with water leaking from the tank...First time was a complete disaster...it flooded my garage and the company did nothing to compensate. Today I discovered another leak and very wet boxes!! I just called to report the incident, I was put on hold for over 30 minutes...a technician finally answered and told me that he'd try to come in a couple hours...DO NOT USE PACIFIC WATER CONDITIONING....THEY CERTAINLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! I recently had the water softener installed and after a couple of days I really noticed a big difference. After showering my skin was much softer and not itchy. My dishes are shinier and my laundry is much much cleaner and I use less detergent. READ THIS FIRST! Been using them for over 2 years at 4 business'. Decided to get osmo in my home. The sales guy came out and FORGOT to mention to me that the water pressure had to be at a certain level in order for the system to work. however he did TELL ME to have a 7/8" hole ready in my counter top for the installation. Fast forward 3 days. Technician comes to install and checks water pressure its TOO high. Says i need to replace it. OK fair enough. EXCEPT THE FACT I NOW HAVE A HOLE in my counter top the sales rep told me to put in! Had i known i needed to spend $250 to replace the water pressure regulator I would have NOT agreed to the install. I NOW HAVE A HOLE IN MY COUNTERTOP! I call the office- finally get to MARK THE OWNER. he tells me ITS MY FAULT i have a hole in the counter top. WILL NOT EVEN entertain anything except me replacing my water pressure gauge myself at a cost of $250.00. Then HANGS UP on my wife. overall experience with him is 100% bad..... bottom line: They are losing 4 business locations and one home. I will be using a different company. WHY? They told me to drill this hole in my counter top WITHOUT all the relevant information needed. System can not be installed due to water pressure - which i was NEVER even told anything about... And the OWNER could have easily fixed the situation by simply admitting fault on their side and replacing the water pressure regulator. DO NOT USE THEM. USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY..Look everyone makes mistakes. the sales guy forgot to mention that part. OK. not a big deal. Told me to drill a hole in my countertop..ok. the business was at fault. no big deal. easily fixed. give them an idea "ok sir let me talk to my sales team and see what happend............" EASY! but NOPE...HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE TOP DOWN! lets look at the what poor customer service cost them they could have bought water pressure regulator- $250 instead they said "too bad for your luck" and......... My husband and I rented a tank from pacific water conditioning for about a year. I would never recommend this company to a friend. As other reviewers have said, they have horrible customer service. We finally decided to cancel the service. They came to remove the tank, but left all the pipes they had installed sticking out of the wall so that we can't put the drywall back on. I called to ask them to come back and remove the pipes, and they said no, that's just how they leave it. If you want soft water, try a different company. Look for one with better yelp reviews. read more

PARADOX...the good and bad reviews are both true. Sadly this is a (very) bad review. I have used these guys for almost 13 years. They do come in on service calls and "laugh" at the potentially shoddy work of their predecessor. I paid these guys $200 in 2005 to fix the unit, then again 18 months later. Two years later in 2008 they were out again for a service call $285 (there were some filter replacement charges, too). When I had faucet issues they would send replacement parts in the mail for me to fix. So busy with kids and life, it just seemed the easiest way to move on was to pay what felt like continued extortion. FINALLY, i bought a whole new unit in August 2009. Problems continued essentially around faucet (which they were TOO LAZY to change when I bought the underlying unit - despite their so-called "policy" of changing it all). Again they've sent replacement parts and never came out (b/c they believed that would solve the problem). Still a problem.. I call now and they say my 1yr warranty is long over and they have no record of me having a relationship with them prior to 2009 and these issues are all irrelevant. So, I spend 5 minutes on the phone and find the exact dates, check numbers and amounts via Quicken to demonstrate an on-going issue they have never satisfactory fixed beyond bandaids. THE OWNER, MARK, tells me none of that matters. There connectors are plastic made pieces and rings that break down just o/s their warranty. Thus, they simply do not stand behind their products. If you want to give them an annuity, they will be prompt, polite and helpful. If you want them to actually stand behind their products after you have had enough of their excuses try elsewhere. Seems like these guys have taken some type of smile-while-you-take-their-money customer service class. read more

Give them zero stars. I've been renting my water softener for over 8 years and wanted to stop paying and buy the unit or pay it off. They had never serviced the unit, never bothered to call and try to check if things were ok. I found out that I had paid enough to buy two units. I asked them to settle the account and consider me paid in full since I had paid over $5,000 in total. After a ridiculous argument with Mark for an hour in which he refused to acknowledge that he was taking advantage of the situation and losing a good word of mouth reference, he agreed to settle for $500 (which I was able to buy one two years old for $150 off the internet). Thinking that we had made a final settlement, I thought I had time to pay. Within one month he sent my account to collections trying to collect $2,800. When I called, they refused to talk or settle the account and said that I had to talk to collection agency.... IT'S JUST PLAIN BAD BUSINESS!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY! read more

We have used them and they are terrible. I remodeled my bathroom, I have had pacific soft water since before the remodel. My new shower door, fixtures and toilet have such bad water spots. I called out a professional window cleaner to clean my shower door and he couldn't get the water spots off. I squeegee and wipe off my shower ever time I use it. My glasses need to be replaced. I had to take sandpaper to the toilets to get the deposits off. They are rude, I had an over billing issue and they were so nasty. I would never use them again. read more

Headaches galore!!! There's a reason this company gets so many lowest of the low reviews: Their service is worse than zero. Don't forget to look at all the reviews they got shifted to "not recommended". Eighty percent of them are the lowest rating possible. If the real numbers were counted their rating would average even lower. The woman who answers their phones has all the charm of a prison guard moonlighting at the post office. Schedule service? When you finally get it lined up, they either don't show or give a three hour window and show up just after it expires. You could waste days of valuable time waiting for these lame bozo's to finally show up to do a ten minute service. When I finally told them they were fired, the miserable woman on the phone drones on about scheduling another appointment two weeks later to "pick up their stuff" (a three year old osmosis unit). You'd be happier drinking your own toilet water than enduring the worst of the worst customer service you could never even imagine by doing business with this company. In short, the customer service is AWFUL and their practices UNETHICAL! I called over 3 weeks ago and left a detailed message with the receptionist for the manager to call me. I have called several times since...and to date, have not yet received a call back. 2 weeks prior to the incident, a worker came to my property to retrieve their soft-water equipment (left there from the previous occupant) -- that was, unless I wanted the service. I declined. He told me that he "had" to pick up the tank/equipment and told me that the owner had given him permission to do so, and then showed me a key to the garage as a form of credibility/proof. I told him that I would not let him in without 1st hearing from either the property manager or the owner. This would have to be a discussed and scheduled appointment. And since I knew nothing about it I refused to let him in. UNETHICAL: May 15th, 2015, a Pacific worker came to my home again (I'm guessing it was the same guy). I was traveling and my brother was house sitting. My brother answered the door and was immediately presented with a "dummy" work order (my brother had the good sense to photograph it - it didn't say much...no company name, no contact info, just the property address and a bunch of gibberish). The worker said that he was authorized by the owner of the property to retrieve equipment that was left behind. HE WAS NOT! My brother told the worker (think his name is "Manny") to wait while he tried to reached me to see if it was ok, or if I knew about it. The worker showed him a key to the garage as a means of convincing him that it wasn't necessary to call me and that what he was saying was true. My brother told him to wait and then attempted to get into contact with me...I was unreachable. Semi-convinced, my brother decided to let the man in so he went to the garage through the house to give the worker access only to find the worker ALREADY IN THE GARAGE! My brother watched the worker remove the equipment/tank (not in use) but asked him to leave behind his card/credentials but he left without doing so. I was able to obtain Pacific's company info from the owner of the home I'm renting - he apologized profusely for this and was quite unhappy that they lied to gain access to the property. read more

Over the past 16 years we have owned a tank and related hardware for our water conditioning system with a few replacement pieces but no upgrades. On each of maybe five total service calls over this time the techs have repaired and replaced parts while consciously keeping the costs to a minimum, e.g., repairing rather than replacing even the smallest pieces rather then following normal business practice to up sell more expensive components. read more

My old water soften system broke down, so I called a neighbor for suggestions. They use Pacific Water and sent me their info. Art called and offered to come by the same day. The appointment was quick and easy. Within one week I had a new updated water system and they even hauled off my old system. I chose a month to month program because it had no long term obligations, so if necessary I could cancel at anytime. My new system is maintenance free....no more adding salt pellets. I have to say that I particularly loved their salesman Joe, he went above and beyond for me and is such a genuinely nice guy. I recently had water softener and reverse osmosis installed in East Ventura where our water is super hard. Water systems here are mandatory. Salesman JD was very helpful and informative. He explained the value in their service, the alternatives and answered all my questions. The techs who came to install were the best! Manny did a nice job putting in the Water Softener with good attention to detail to make it look as good as possible. My R.O installation was not routine because of a sink on an island not connected to refrigerator and lack of a drain close to the refrigerator. Mark was over the top with a creative R.O. installation that was not the obvious solution but provided R.O. to the refrigerator and saved me hundreds of dollars over another recommended installation. It is also completely invisible yet easy to reach for changing filters without reducing storage space. Best possible outcome from this installation. Looking forward to many years of good water! alllfru w.- I too have had Pacific Water for 12 years now, and know for a fact they are a wonderful company, geared towards customer service. You CHOSE to rent the equipment vs purchasing. I know for a fact when they offered you service, they offer to sell you the equipment vs renting, and even informed you that if purchasing it will pay for itself in a couple of years. In any business UNLESS you choose to "Rent to own" from the beginning ,such as Rent-A-Center , there is NO "buy out" value in your contract. Just as a home is either rented or bought, once you choose renting vs purchasing, if you decide later to try to buy the home, rents paid are NOT applied, you must start over with a purchase price, unless, once again you sign a Rent-To-Own contract. Please do not give bad reviews to companies that you are not happy with due to not figuring it out for yourself from the beginning. This ( your ) review was not based on the integrity of this company but, your own bad decisions ! As far as Mark offering you a $500 buy out you should have taken it immediately and not waited. As with ANY product you buy, unless it is on a lease or an agreed credit account, payment is due upon delivery or in this case when the agreement was made.. read more

My experience with Pacific Water Conditioning has always been superb. I've been renting the R/O system for years and they regularly check my water quality and service it when it's necessary. Recently, it broken down and the whole unit was replaced with an upgrade system, for FREE. I didn't have to pay any extra. I used to own my system and the the cost is just not worth it. It needed to be replaced every 2-3 years and extra to change filters. It's so much simple and cost effective to have them maintain and service the units. Less headaches. They installed it quickly, cleanly and compared to my previous water conditioner it takes up way less space in my cabinet and the water is free of particles. We now use it for ice, boiling water, coffee, vegetables, and all things for consuming like tea. We love the convenience and the spigot is very sturdy. Love the continuous flow feature. We've been customers of the tank exchange program for over five years. Yesterday , because I had to take our son to work I forgot to unlock the access door. Our gardener said our delivery person said he would return today. I called the office and they said they could not come back for a week . Our tank already barely makes the 2 week span. Their truck is in our neighborhood most days and it takes all of 2 minutes to exchange the tank. The Newbury Park office acts like they are doing you a favor at that. Done! Pay attention when you are paying your bill over the phone. Pacific Water charged my account twice & the company NEVER notified me they made an error. I come to find out when I reviewed my account on line. Second of all, I had problem with my water fountain at home as I was constantly running out of drinking water. When the technician came to look at my home unit, the findings was the previous technician who replaced my drinking fountain "left" a piece of carboard on the unit blocking the flow of water causing the flow of water to slow down. read more
