They made a next-day appointment & phoned when they were on their way. A very knowledgeable technician - Josh arrived & after checking the plumbing in the basement, explained where the problem was. I had the option of hydro jetting or pouring a clog-clearing product called "Liquid Lightning" (which I never heard of) down the drain. I found the product at Walmart & used it as directed. So far, so good. I have two water heater replacements as well as other plumbing repairs coming in the near future & I will not hesitate to call Rockstar Plumbing. Unlike many businesses today, they are honest, knowledgeable, and (as advertised) don't charge for estimates.

Error code read E32, means it needs a new Thermistor. The tech did a unit flush, saying that…read moresometimes that clears the code. The Thermidor part cost $39 plus service call. The flush cost $299. Why not change the $39 part first, rather than bang the customer for a $299 maintenance flush that did not fix the problem. And then charge additional for the parts needed in the first place. The name of the company is tankless hot water solutions. When I called, I told the gal it was an E32 error code. The tech arrived on time, and was professional.But the tech did not carry in his van the $39 part needed to resolve the E32 error code. So he recommended the $299 flush. The $299 flush did not clear the code, because the unit needed the part. What I don't understand is, if the unit needed parts called out by the E32 code, and also, that upon visual inspection you could see were water damaged, why do the $299 flush, only to have to replace the parts anyway. I feel I was charged for a service that was not needed and did not solve the problem. Upon completing the flush there was very little sediment, the system was pretty clean. The error code is still present, and the part has been ordered together with a harness that may be corroded. The estimate for additional work and parts is $368 after the courtesy discount. In all fairness, the tech was being guided by someone on the phone. I'm giving two stars because the tech was really trying to solve the problem and he doesn't make the company policy. Hopefully, when all is said and done, the system will work after almost $700 later. Also the Noritz unit has been a problem since day 1.
