Error code read E32, means it needs a new Thermistor. The tech did a unit flush, saying that sometimes that clears the code. The Thermidor part cost $39 plus service call. The flush cost $299. Why not change the $39 part first, rather than bang the customer for a $299 maintenance flush that did not fix the problem. And then charge additional for the parts needed in the first place. The name of the company is tankless hot water solutions. When I called, I told the gal it was an E32 error code. The tech arrived on time, and was professional.But the tech did not carry in his van the $39 part needed to resolve the E32 error code. So he recommended the $299 flush. The $299 flush did not clear the code, because the unit needed the part. What I don't understand is, if the unit needed parts called out by the E32 code, and also, that upon visual inspection you could see were water damaged, why do the $299 flush, only to have to replace the parts anyway. I feel I was charged for a service that was not needed and did not solve the problem. Upon completing the flush there was very little sediment, the system was pretty clean. The error code is still present, and the part has been ordered together with a harness that may be corroded. The estimate for additional work and parts is $368 after the courtesy discount. In all fairness, the tech was being guided by someone on the phone. I'm giving two stars because the tech was really trying to solve the problem and he doesn't make the company policy. Hopefully, when all is said and done, the system will work after almost $700 later. Also the Noritz unit has been a problem since day 1. read more

Cielo, and I hope I have his name right, is an expert installer. He pays attention to detail and when the job was completed if there was any mess to clean up I saw no evidence that there was any mess. They installed our tankless water heater a couple of years ago. During the Palisades Fire they reached out to their customers to see if they needed food, prescriptions, etc. We asked for hot water. Within 2 days they brought 2 60 gallon propane tanks and a battery charger. They converted our tankless water heater from natural gas to propane and will come back when our power and gas is restored to switch it back. No charge at all except actual cost of matey. Amazing! They arrived within the allotted two hour window and were VERY PROFESSIONAL throughout their service of my nearly eighteen year old Noritz tankless water heater and three full bathrooms. They'll get a 5 for customer service. I did one of those request a quote and I was inundated with contacts. They were the first and I started communicating. I did reply to a couple others. Ted (the owner) said that there was a $99 service fee, but it would go towards any work. Fair enough. The others said no service fee, but in the end you pay for the work, so I wasn't put off by the service fee. Now, David was our tech. First of all, I got a text saying when he would arrive and included an app to track his status. 5 for customer service. He was very friendly and thorough. He ended up doing a full detail and descale. The $99 service was knocked off and since I was getting two maintenance items I got another discount. Whether or not that's the norm, I do appreciate his willing to work with me. The problem with my tankless was it would trip and shutdown. Will the service solve the problem? Time will tell. However, David and Ted both said to reach back out with any problems. Oh, one last thing...Patty in the office was also very friendly and helpful with setting up and communicating my appointment. Solid company with great customer service. read more

My Navien Tankless Water Heater stopped working when we recently had a brief full on rain deluge. I called Tankless and they came the next day and found that the unit was drenched. Since I needed a descaling anyway Joseph and his assistant, Alden, cleaned the unit of water and moisture while the descaling was taking place. We were thinking it was the pump, but with Ted's impeccable problem solving, he discovered that it may have been the water sensor. Ted got our system going with temporary hot water until the water sensor part could be obtained. They first came to repair our old Rinnai tankless heater. Unfortunately, the repairs didn't last. The good folks at Tankless said they would credit all of the repair dollars spent and apply towards a new Navien tankless.
