I was referred to Dr. Chaudhry's practice by my regular dentist, Dr. Kenneth Chiusano, for the extraction of my #2 tooth (way in the back of my mouth.) Needless to say, being referred to an oral surgeon is nerve-racking enough but what I experienced at the initial consult and then finally the extraction, warrants a review of very high praise. Firstly, the entire staff is beyond professional and personable. They take the necessary time to explain everything to you in a professional and caring manner so there are no surprises, financially or otherwise. The day of the extraction arrived and I found myself feeling very comfortable and confident about the procedure. You could actually say I was looking forward to returning to Dr. Chaudhry's office to see him and his staff again. The staff and medical assistants were equally wonderful. The procedure was quick and over before I knew it and it turned out I had nothing to worry about at all. Dr. Chaudhry's experience, coupled with his gentleness and genuine care, are also equally noteworthy. My recovery was easier than I imagined and the doctor even called me personally that evening after I left a message for him after the practice had closed when I needed to ask a question. If you're looking for an oral surgeon and live in the Poconos, I suggest you look no further because you have found the right doctor for the job. You won't regret it. Broad Street Dental is sending me to a periodontist for the cleaning because their Hygienist is busy till October, 2019 with cleanings. Really?? Their sending me to an oral surgeon to pull a wisdom tooth??? Really? My dentist in Florida was willing to pull it no oral surgeon needed. When I asked the doctor why I need an oral surgeon, she said maybe he is more experienced. Really? I was with my wife for her visit. While waiting for her in their office - on the referrals, I asked if they are, "In Network" referrals. They said they didn't know, I should call them and if not in network, they will provide another referral. Really? Why didn't they find out if referral was , "In Network", before dishing them out. There are 2-4 people behind the counter gabbing, yet they don't have the time to provide, "In Network", referrals. Really? After I said okay, they made the calls for me. After going to an Oral Surgeon for Wisdom Extraction, and a Periodontist for the cleaning, I can then go back for the new filling. The feeling (which is important) is that they are so busy and so overbooked, their doing us a favor taking us as clients. Really?

I had been to my old dentist twice already because of pain on one side of my mouth. He took x-rays and examined me both times, but could never find anything. So I mentioned the pain to Dr. Wert. It took him five minutes to see what was wrong. He gently tapped on a couple of teeth--no pain--and then when he tapped on the third one it was clear he'd found the source of the pain. I had a crown on that tooth, and Dr. Wirt told me there was infection under the crown. He would have to remove it and clear out the infection. I was so relieved to know what was causing the pain, and that it could be fixed. I'm so glad he opened an office in Hellertown. Oh, and the office staff was very pleasant and helpful too.

But I digress... Anyway, I walk up to the desk, give the receptionist my name and she says I don't have you on my schedule for today. I said well I certainly have an appointment. She keeps looking at the screen and asking me if I'm sure and to give her my name again. She still couldn't find me. Then I showed her my text message reminder. She then gets up and walks toward the back into the office and starts engaging in conversation with other women (one was definitely a hygienist whom she asked to do a cleaning for me) because she (the hygienist) said well she's not on the schedule and she's 15 minutes late even if she was so NO I cannot see her. This was said in a nasty tone while looking in my direction. I HEARD her say this as she was standing in a doorway, casually chatting up other women. She was clearly NOT busy. I said no, "She" (meaning myself) was not 15 minutes late and if it weren't such a Scooby Doo mystery of why I'm here I could have been getting seen by now. They very nastily told me I couldn't be seen that day and that I had been removed or crossed off the schedule because I was late. You have got to be joking. I'm sure you clowns have cameras. Check them and see how late I was and don't use that as an excuse for your ineptitude and unprofessionalism. I was told I could reschedule. I said I would do no such thing since you all wasted my valuable time. Dr. Fabey, your practice is only as good as your staff.
