I was quite impressed with the efficiency of the POD packing aspect of my move. I could not believe my eyes when I saw how much was loaded into 1 POD; it was like a Tetris game. Three men arrived for the loading and it was completed in three hours. Naturally, I requested the same crew for the unload at my new house. When only two people showed up, I knew this would not be good. I have very big, heavy pieces that were overpowering for only 2 men. My wall unit was not properly assembled as it was not possible to accomplish with only 2 men. I called Pack and Load to request remediation. I requested 3 men to come back to my home and assemble my wall unit, that it may be used. The pieces were not tight enough to place anything on the main shelf. I was told that management would be made aware of the situation and get back to me. After multiple calls, no response to my request was ever received. I contacted the team leader for the men that did my load and unload as he has his own company and gave me his card. Money Movers, did not return my call for help either. I'm a disabled, widowed senior who had to hire a handy man to fix the issues created by Pack and Load. Use this company wisely. read more

I used Pack & Load Moving to help load two PODs for a move from Texas to Massachusetts, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. I was already in Massachusetts while my wife was in Texas overseeing the move. The crew of three completed part of the job but left behind several major items, including six mirrors, two TVs (still mounted on the wall), a coffee table, a table saw, a lawn mower, and gym mats. This was especially frustrating because there was still plenty of space remaining in the PODs, as shown in photos my wife shared with me. When my wife contacted customer service, the only solution offered was to send the crew back the next day and load everything into an additional POD--at an extra cost of around $2,500. That was completely unreasonable given that the original containers clearly had the capacity to hold the remaining items. Instead, my wife had to scramble to fix the situation herself. She drove to Home Depot to purchase additional moving supplies and then had to ask neighbors for help loading the remaining items. This left her handling physically demanding work that we had already paid professionals $1,031 to complete. What was most frustrating was not just the incomplete job, but the lack of effort and professionalism. Basic tasks--like even removing the TVs from the wall mounts--weren't done. Customer service also failed to provide a fair or practical resolution. Overall, this was a very poor experience. I would not recommend this company. read more

I utilized Pack and Load on my move departure move from Mississippi, The team that they dispatched was horrible, they were late by 6.5 hours. The Lead person left for most of the time which caused me to have to manage their team, the loaders did a HORRIBLE job loading the POD that I had to order another POD. They Damaged items and I worked IMEDIATELY with the scheduler who Promised- to document everything. I asked for a claim and they said "on unload" we will document everything and take care of any damages. WELL - At unload I requested a claim, provided all of the pictures and details, even offered to fix the items and try to save them money. they deigned the claim amount of less than 600 dollars and offered 56 dollars instead. They also over billed me by 239 dollars and REFUSED to provide a refund for the double charge. Calls and e mails are left unanswered and unreturned. Where do I start? Customer Service is THE WORST. She is rude, a KAREN from Florida in all its glory. We went with a 65+ year old company for security and experience with our furniture and paid a fortune. What we got was a rude person that would not budge on the day of our load as it poured rain that came early. She said it was our problem not hers because she's in Florida and not in Texas. Would charge $375 if we rescheduled and could not guarantee a return tomorrow! We were responsible for protecting our furniture, not them. A complete different story than when Lance the salesman spoke to me. He said they took so much care that they moved grand pianos without issues. So if you are being romanced by Lance, Do Not Do It! Totally disorganized. Contracted for a Friday move and was quoted "mid-day". That came and went and they could only say "well probably it'll be late this afternoon or maybe tomorrow. The worst experience with a company that I've ever had. Furniture damaged, tv screen caved in due to - in my opinion, careless packing. No recourse for damaged items except offer of $25 per piece with a maximum of $200 per move. You need to know in advance that - as happened to us, a less than year old Sony tv with screen completely ruined will be compensated at $25. A Knoll coffee table with legs broken off will be compensated at $25. You will never receive more than $25 no matter what the damage is Or how valuable the damaged item was. The two gentlemen who came out were very nice and polite. I did not realize they did a Jenga type of load until we unloaded. Things were upside down and sideways and just crammed in there. The end result many, many many broken things, including a bookcase in which they stacked heavier stuff on top smashing the bookcase. Several things had to be thrown away due to damage and I haven't even started looking through everything yet. I was so nice to the movers. I fed them and gave them drink and tipped them a hefty cash tip each. They didn't speak English, were extremely slow, they made it through a third of my stuff, they scuffed up my walls, and they broke my peloton. They also couldn't get the pod door shut (bc they did such a horrible job) and forced it closed. It took two hours to get it open. This was before it was shipped btw. Just horrific experience. I've never had a worse experience with a company. The customer service was unhelpful and led me completely astray. The company/movers damaged a $3,000 dresser and denied my claim for reasons not properly explained or called out during the entire +3 months working with the manager of customer service, Christine. As someone who works in the insurance and customer service industry, I know this space well and I would strongly caution anyone working with this company, as it will only lead to a waste of time, money, and completely ruin all your expensive furniture. Don't waste your time. Youll be recommended this company if you use a POD. Dont bother. They do not care about customer service at all. My pod was supposed to be emptied within 24 hours of delivery as dictated by the storage unit company. I spoke with Pack & Load multiple times and explained the situation, gave them ample notice in advance, and kept them updated. The POD arrived at 7:15 AM. They were supposed to send a crew at 5:00 PM. I wasn't given any update until 5:15 PM when I was told that the crew isn't going to come until 9:00, which is the time that the storage unit closes. Instead of understanding, the supervisor (won't say names online to protect her own privacy) - said she can send a crew in the AM. What good is sending a crew in the AM when you know the POD will be picked up? She didn't care and had terrible customer service skills. You might as well pay more for another company that has somewhat competent comprehension skills. read more

Our experience with Pack and Load Services, Inc. was an absolute disaster from the moment the crew arrived. All three workers showed up late, came without the supplies the company had promised like basic packing tape and plastic wrap -- I had to leave our home to buy these materials just so they could do the job they were hired to do. All three movers smelled strongly of marijuana, one was wearing an ankle monitor, and overall were extremely unprofessional (they got into loud arguments with each other in front of our child and requested cash tips). None of the wooden furniture was protected or wrapped with the moving blankets provided to them, none of the upholstered furniture was wrapped in plastic wrap until we intervened and asked them to do so, they damaged our walls, floor, and dropped our dining room table on the concrete outside and broke it and tried to hide the damage. That alone should have been a warning sign about the level of professionalism we were dealing with. The outcome matched the chaos: more than $4,500 of our belongings were damaged due to careless, sloppy handling - including packing our heavy patio furniture ON TOP of our brand new 85inch TV I had packed properly in a cushioned TV box which busted the screen entirely. When we filed a claim, the company immediately denied responsibility and refused to provide the "signed contract" they claim limits their liability. Despite multiple written requests -- including a mailed letter -- they still have not produced any documentation showing we were ever informed of or agreed to the limitations they're trying to hide behind. Instead, they pointed us to their website and said they would only give the contract to an attorney, even though we are the customers who supposedly signed it. After going through this, we now understand exactly why this company has a 1-star rating on Yelp. Reading other reviews, it's clear our experience is not unique -- far from it. The number of people describing the same issues is endless, and it speaks volumes about how this company operates. These policies aren't "unfortunate exceptions"; they're how they stay in business. TLDR: They agreed to provide 3 movers, only provided 2 movers, charged extra for because it took longer with only 2 movers, were not accountable for their mistake, were condescending and tried gaslighting us. We agreed to a rate or $789 for 3 movers for 3 hours for our move on 5/21. Only 2 movers arrived. I called them immediately, and they said they would get back to me. They never explained why 2 movers arrived instead of 3. At the end of the 3 hours, they called asking us to pay to extend the time. We said - we will not be paying because we agreed to 9 labor hours (3 movers for 3 hours)and you have only provided 6 (2 movers for 3 hours). They agreed to lower the rate to $689 for 2 movers for 3 hours, then asked us to pay an additional $139 for one more hour. This still ultimately required us to pay them more money for only 8 total labor hours rather than the 9 we agreed to with 3 movers. 1. Rate we agreed to pay for 3 movers: $789/3 people/3 hours = $87.66 /hour 2. Rate they asked us to pay due to their mistake sending only 2 movers: $689/2 people/3 hours = $114.83/ hour 3. Total amount extra they wanted us to pay due to their mistake: $39 4. Total % increase on rate for 2 rather than 3 movers: 31% 5. Total hours agreed: 3 movers x 3 hours= 9 hours 6. Total hours provided: 2 movers x 3 hours + 2 additional charge hours = 8 hours The staff member I spoke to insisted she did understand the math behind this, so I can only conclude that they are intentionally scamming people. I tried to go through the logic with them of why we should be paying a higher rate/ mover because of their mistake. They insisted it was not a mistake but rather just "the situation," completely denying accountability for providing the services they agreed to and being greedy. The staff member I spoke to repeatedly tried gaslighting me into believing there was no mistake and that I was being unreasonable for protesting the rate increase caused by their company sending less people than agreed to. I spoke with someone for 11 minutes and she refused to admit any wrong doing and said the movers would leave if we didn't agree to the extra time at the higher rate. I explained they put us in a difficult position because these were not the services we agreed to. Now we couldn't complete the move without their movers, and they didn't send the right number of people to do it as planned. We could only go ahead with this last minute rate hike or have our furniture left out in the rain. To be clear -- if they had sent 3 movers as agreed to and they needed more time, I would agree to pay the agreed upon rate for extra hours. This is not what happened. They insisted I was the only one initiating the argument. Yes, I'm sure things would be easier for this company if people willingly turned over their cash for last minute price hikes. They are likely intentionally sending less movers than planned to charge a higher rate for their services when more time is needed due to a labor deficit they caused (scammer alert!!). I explained it was difficult trying to take care of a newborn and having to navigate these unjust price increases. I was literally feeding my baby and having to take this call at the same time. Don't do business with these people. Shorter version: they charged me for boxes I didn't use, promising to refund, but never did. I'm now trying to recover the $1,600 they defrauded out of me. I was also charged for loading 3 PODs, when they failed to finish the 3rd pod, leaving it half-loaded. Attached are the photos of the half-loaded pod. Supposedly, the team got put on another job by their boss and just didn't show up, leaving us in a lurch. When the locks come off the PODs, I plan to have someone to document that there are NO Pack and Load Moving Services, Inc. boxes on any of the PODs Buyer beware. Do not hire this company. The people that were sent to load my pods were completely untrained and destroyed all of my furniture. I filed a very detailed complaint with pictures only to find out that their maximum liability is $250 for the entire load! I pay them $1000 to load my pods and had thousands of dollars of damage. I received an insulting letter that they would reimburse me $216 for the entire claim even though just the dining room chair that they broke the leg off was new and cost $300. read more

They sent me a quote for a flat rate 16' container loading, but then switched it to 3 hours plus pay extra for every hour. Took them 6 hours to load my container, they just sent 2 guys to do the job. Pack & load said that they would send someone who knows how to pack a grandfather clock. The "guy who knows about clocks" went to pack it, he didn't know to take the pendulum out or even know what a pendulum is. The other guy who at least honestly said he didn't know anything about packing grandfather clocks, made a call to get some help, hopefully our clock survives. When we were called to see how things were going, I told them that they were supposed to be sending someone who knows how to pack a grandfather clock and she rudely insisting the guys sent do( I am quite certain they were not pretending not to know) It is very frustrating to have someone rude and unhelpful call to check on how thing are going then clearly lie to me and have no real concern for how it is going. I was told a 16 foot pod should be able to be loaded in under 3 hours. From my experience with movers in the past, that seemed reasonable. One mover did appear to know what he was doing when actually loading the pod but other guy just waited around for direction. Despite us having boxed everything other than large furniture pieces and the 5 things we paid $240 extra to pack because they were fragile it took them 7 hours to load a 16 foot pod. That is excessive and it wouldn't have be the case if they sent two qualified people who knew what they were doing and someone who knew how to pack the clock rather than having them waste time trying to figure it out. We were unaware they just contract local movers to do the job until we got a call a day before our pod was set to be loaded that pack and load services aka pods had double booked them. The local movers proceeded to call me up until 10 pm that day changing times. Finally they canceled and pack and load had to scramble and find another set of local movers the day of. The local movers for both packing and unpacking our pod were fine. For the unloading process pack and load charged us for a full hour instead of 30 minutes despite the movers rushing to leave because they had another job. Do not use these services!!! Poor packers. They didn't finish the job and then tried to blame us that we didn't order the right services. They are the professionals that should be advising us as to what we need to move. They didn't use enough blankets or wrapping to protect our furniture. The movers helped themselves to drinks in our fridge and snacks without even asking. I had some jewelry disappear. It has been a horrible experience. The call center staff were not helpful and didn't seem to care that the packing wasn't completed. My husband worked all day with the Packers and it still wasn't enough to get the job done. Miscalculated load size - Pack & Load grossly miscalculated the size of PODs needed, so I was forced to leave behind many treasured items (large silk palm trees, tool boxes, shelf unit), in spite of them reassuring me several times that everything would fit in my PODS. Theft - During packing, a Pack & Load employee stole a locked metal box and a ring. Fortunately, the company did recover my ring and I appreciate their effort. Damage - Pack & Load packed my TV in a TV box. It was so jammed into the POD that when unloaded, they had to twist the box to get the POD door opened which damaged my TV. Pack & Load packed a box with an arrow pointing up with large pictures. They delivered it upside down, with several pictures inside damaged or broken. Several of my wicker dining room chairs had scruffed spots because they were not protected enough. Insurance Virtually Worthless - Reimbursement for damaged items is based on weight at 60 cent per pound - big mistake. They only allowed $25 for my damaged $515 TV based on weight. I guess I would have only gotten 60 cents for my $1000 ring if it had not been recovered! Neither PODS nor Pack & Load responded to my complaint letter. read more
