This is probably a fine business in its own right, but I'm giving this place 5 stars because (A) They were there when I needed help getting out of a bind and (B) They basically opened up their store more than 2 hours after they normally close, just to take care of me. I found out at about 8:15 p.m. on a Tuesday that I needed to pack and ship a package. I was leaving on business very early the next morning and would be gone for several days, so I needed to get this shipped that evening. Even the post offices that stay open late close by 6 so that was out, FedEx/Kinkos was out because I don't have an extra testicle, which is what it would've cost to ship this heavy box using FedEx, so my only hope was to find a store that ships packages via UPS or USPS. I remember seeing this place along US1 in the plaza where TGI Fridays and Pier 1 Imports are located. I boxed everything up and headed out, hoping they were open (I couldn't remember the name of the place and couldn't find them in the few Google searches I did, so I couldn't call ahead). I arrived just after 9, the "OPEN" sign was still lit, and the door was unlocked. I walked in, thinking that maybe they were supposed to close at 9. I saw 2 people (the owners I think) in the back, and a chain gate was pulled 1/2 way across the hallway between the front of the business and the area where the sales counter is located. I asked if they were still open and pointed toward the "OPEN" sign that was still lit up. The man looked up and said "We close at 7 on weekdays". I asked if he could help me out, and I nicely explained again that I stopped because his open sign was still on. He smiled and said "You can come in". The woman who was working there was friendly and took care of me quickly, and because of their kindness I could relax knowing that these things were shipped before I left the next morning. That's customer service at its best! As far as the store, they sell boxes, tape and packaging products, they can ship via UPS, USPS and FedEx and they also sell stamps. I also believe you can drop items off to them and they will package them up for you and ship them. The next time I need shipping supplies or need to ship items, I'll be coming here for sure; They've earned my business. Come to think of it, I think I'll also send them one of the "You've been Yelped" cards as well! read more

My sister and I as novice cruisers, purchased way more than we would be allowed on the airplane back home. Saw this shipping company on our way to UHaul for specialty wine boxes (which they didn't stock). Called up pack & ship and they had the boxes and able to ship out as well so saved us a second trip. I would encourage people to look elsewhere if they want good service. The woman behind the counter refused to ship my documents even though I had a valid account number. The account belongs to my employer (with whom I contract) and I had the FedEx envelope they used to ship it to me. This unhelpful woman, who said 'I do not accept other accounts here', and then claimed she 'did not make the rules' then proceeded to deliberately mislead me by telling me I had to go to downtown Miami if I wanted to use an account I did not own. Either that or I could pay for it myself. I was actually glad when another customer walked in, and I was ignored for several minutes while she chatted up the other person. It gave me time to decide to take my business elsewhere, which I did. The friendly and helpful staff at FedEx/Kinkos in Coral Gables helped me out, and did not question my authority to use the account # I had. I would encourage everyone to drive a mile or so further and use the Coral Gables FedEx on Ponce instead. I suspect the woman at the store on Dixie Hwy is actually the owner and was trying to steer me away from her competition since her business is so lame - and to lie to me on top of it is inexcusable. If she is not the owner, her boss certainly needs to know about her despicable behavior. read more
