I would absolutely NOT recommend this company.. I was communicating with Mike through text message for about a week, could never get a straight answer on when he could help me move. Was chasing him for about a week for an answer until I decided to look at Yelp and look at the reviews on his company. Saw the bad reviews. Everything that they said about Mike was 100% true.. lack of communication never gives you a straight answer. Highly unprofessional. Because I wasted a week of trying to get an answer from Mike I had to scramble around looking for another moving company... They helped with the initial pack up of our old house and were great (see previous review). we just moved in and had the unit delivered and pack it tight was here within 45 minutes of drop off to begin unloading. They were able to unload everything in 2 hours. We moved back in May and these guys were the chillest, sweetest humans on the planet and totally took a load off my shoulders. I found them via the uhaul Website and ended up hiring them independently. I had no idea how I was going to organize the truck and they basically told me to stand back and watch them tetris my belongings into the truck with care. They did a phenomenal job and i will be singing their praises for the rest of my life. We were totally Scammed by the owner, Mike Jones. He asked for the total cost for our move, up front "to reserve" a crew. It didn't seem right, at the time, but since they were associated with UNITS, who friends of ours had recently used, I sent Mike Jones a Venmo payment. I got ZERO confirmation, despite Mike saying his "office would confirm details of the agreement and payment." I got NOTHING including the CRITCAL detail that Pack it Tight DOES NOT provide a MOVING TRUCK! I NEVER would have chosen, let alone paid for movers that don't provide a Moving truck. Two days prior to the scheduled move, Mike sent a text claiming a "family emergency' saying he had to go out of town. (Wouldnt he have others to do the move? Hes supposed to be the OWNER, after all). Mike wanted to push the move date to a later date. We were moving to a new house and a last minute change didnt work with our Move out/Move in schedule. I exchanged texts and calls with Mike, where I requested my money back for a move Mike Jones and Company didn't do and wasn't going to do!! We needed a company that worked with our time frame AND provided a Moving Truck. Mike didn't refund my Money. He KEPT $800 for work his company didn't do. He even closed his Venmo account to avoid paying (I contacted Venmo to try to escalate, only to find he closed his account.) My husband tried working with him. But Mike made excuse after EXCUSE about why he didn't send a check; why he didn't show up to deliver a check or cash, returning our $800. FOUR MONTHS later Mike Jones, Owner of Pack it Tight Movers has not returned our money!!! That is STEALING and FRAUD! STEER CLEAR of Mike Jones' and his Scam!! We were connected to Pack-it-tight Moving via Units Moving and Portable Storage (also great co). We have two movers come to pack our storage unit and then unpack it at our new place. Paul and Trent were our assigned movers on the first day - they were awesome. They did a great job and worked really hard on a very hot day. For the unpacking job, we got Paul again and another mover (I forgot his name) - again, a great job and we were very pleased with how quickly they worked. Long story long, I found this company through u-haul's website but decided not to go through u-haul so we could cut out the middle man and the company can receive its full commission. I spoke with the owner about my loading and unloading needs, text all of my info, received no confirmation. I called the owner back to confirm the next day, he apologized and said he will be there on the date and time. Now it's moving day. I go to pick up my u-haul and back home in time for my movers. The owner is now 20 minutes late, no call. So I call and leave a message. I call again and he finally answers saying they are running behind schedule which also puts me behind schedule. Pack It Tight Moving was 2-HOURS late for my appointment. The workers he brought were very nice, professional, and super helpful. We ran 30 minutes over my (2 hour) window due to a few complexities and in which he charged me an extra $60 on top of our agreed rate. I did expect to pay for the overtime but $60 dollars, after being 2-HOURS late....No Sir! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND NOR WILL I EVER AQUIRE PACK IT TIGHT SERVICES AGAIN! read more

My grandmother is living alone in Rocklin CA and needed help getting a truck loaded for her move. we scheduled these guys to load a truck for her while we were out of state and they knocked it out of the park. My grandmother was running late meeting them there and they were kind enough to hang around and wait for her. we scheduled them for two hours and they got it done in about an hour. I did not have the same experience as others with my move. The guys showed up on time and were initially very productive but after a couple of hours they lost their mojo. The end result was leaving me with a refrigerator and treadmill to load (they claimed they didnt have tools to disassemble-even though initially I was told no problem). Then told me they'd be able to come back the next day and they'd call me to set up a time. No call and no show. Had to hire someone else to move the last stuff. Don't use this company! I booked this company through uhaul/movinghelp.com and the guy never showed up. What worst is that the company was able to charge me for a service was never performed. They scammed me by asking the payment code in order to retrieve the money from movinghelp.com. Movinghelp.com washed their hands and asked me to call the owner directly "Michael Jones of North Highlands, 916 968 1547, packittight@yahoo.com." After our work was finished they came back to return the furniture to the house. They were quick and they showed good care with our furniture. Tyler at Units referred Mike and Team. They are careless, actually owner Mike is worse. They scratched the hell out of my security door when I moved out of my old house. They caused me to use an extra unit, because 1 was only packed half full. Tyler made them repack the last unit because it was packed carelessly and would have caused my 6mo old $3k fridge to be scratched. When they moved me from the units facility to my new home, 1st day his guys were pretty cognizant of putting boxes in the right room, but when Mike came the 2nd day with the last unit, he was like wam, bam, thank you Mam and shoved all the boxes in the garage unless I caught them. So I had quite a few heavy boxes to lug up the stairs by myself. A lot of my kitchen stuff ended up in the garage which was clearly marked kitchen. They broke one of the corner brackets of my desk. My son fixed that. Now for the clincher, they scratched the hell out of my brand new door. That was in September. Mike said he would fix it. In late October or early November I called him. He asked could he fix it after the holidays. I said that would be fine. He said he would absolutely call me back. Well of course he didn't. I left numerous vm, text messages, but nothing until I left a bad review because of them for Units. Mike asked if I would remove the bad review on Units, if he fixed the door. I said I would when the door was fixed. I actually did when he scheduled the repair. Now since then, MIke has set up numerous times to fix the door. Once we had to cancel because of weather, once because of the painters schedule and now again no response to vm or texts. All my calls since the one before the holidays go straight to VM and he claims he doesn't get my text. For that reason, I'm fairly certain he blocked my number. Reputable company RIGHT!!' If Units recommends Mike and company, I'd ask them for another mover, unless you want to deal with crap like this. Next step, get the work done myself and take him to small claims. First thing in the morning I got a phone call from pack it tight moving working out the details of what we needed and expected from our movers. Andrew and Forest were our 2 helpers, and they were outstanding! They both arrived early and ready to work. They both were such hard workers, so respectful! I am so impressed with this company. The moving guys are nice and accommodative. But they did make a few mistakes causing damage to wall and appliances in tight corners. Many of them could have been avoided. The reason for low star rating is the owner (or manager) Mike's attitude after I texted complaining some damage to the vinyl floor after they moved the old refrigerator out and put the new one in. He just denied everything even he was not at the site. He blamed the house had existing damages even after seeing the fresh wall powder (from the drywall) at the damage spot in the picture, said I damaged the vinyl by pushing the frig in after these guys set it up in front of the slot for me, etc. So ridiculous! read more

I've used Pack It Tight twice and both times were incredible with the level of efficiency, communication, timeliness, know-how, and courtesy of Mike and his team. The first move was with Mike and one other mover-- they were prompt and completed my 1 br move pack up/unpack in under an hour. Particularly impressive since it involved a massive tv, queen bed/box spring, and couch maneuvered down a narrow staircase. I decided to use them again when I had to make a Sacramento-San Diego move. The move was tricky, multi-location-- half was to be unloaded in a pod and the other half was to be unloaded in a separate apartment from Midtown to Oak Park Sacramento. As with the first move, scheduling was a breeze with Mike, movers were available, communication was clear, and they again showed up prompt and ready to move. Mike had remembered moving some things in from before, so was ready with strategies on how move/pack things out since some things would need pack towards the outside of the truck to be unloaded first. What I found most impressive was that these weren't just "strong dudes" who know how to pick up things and place them down-- this was a strategic assault on moving things out quickly, packing them in a champion-tetris-player like way, respecting your belongings (i.e., not banging/scuffing/dropping), and billing you a fair price for the incredible effort/service. We booked 3 movers for 3 hours to move a 2 bed- 2 bath house-- they unloaded the house/packed the truck (in the needed way so that we could pack the pod), drove to arden with us to pack said uhaul pod, then back to oak park to finish the job. All in 2 hours and 15 minutes. It really is incredible how fast these guys works and their service is unparalleled. I just unpacked the box in San Diego-- no damage-- literally nothing moved from where these guys packed it. Wish I could have hired them again down here! Thanks guys!!! read more
