Our "Silver Fox," '96 Corvette CE, had some "sunburn" above both front wheel wells. I had asked around and was told their painter was the best in town, so he came out and took a look and convinced me to repaint the entire hood. Turns out it was EXCELLENT advice. Paco's City business license was canceled as of November 2018 claiming business closed for repairs and remodel of building. Checking this date June third 2019 the business license is still claiming closed out of business. The Bureau of Automotive Repair license number 294193 is it still active under the name of Filip Diaz. I took a 2018 Kia Sorento that had rear end damage to be fixed January 25th of 2019. They took a credit card deposit under the name of SQ auto repair. The work was to be completed in 2 weeks, 3 months later they still hadn't done any work they left my vehicle out with broken windows in the rain when we had three and a half inches of rain in February in one day I went over with plastic to cover the windows they claimed that I didn't need to bother that they would go out there right away and do it and never did. They moved my vehicle into there only paint booth where it's at four months not having any work done finally in April I went and picked the car up and took it to another repair facility. Now the day is June third 2019 I still have not received my refund of the $2,000 for work they claim they were going to do. They kept my car over 30 days, and offered to pay my car rental until it was ready. All went well until a year later the car rental showed up on my credit report. I've relentlessly pursued them to pay the bill they owe and they have refused. Very bad people, don't trust them, find someone reputable. They didn't even care that it ruined my credit. They are AWFUL, TOTALLY AWFUL. Add insult to injury, I've had some of the parts start falling off, the paint is starting to peel. Their work it terrible, their ethics are miserable. Wow. I had to catch a flight in LA and had arranged to drop my 74 Chevy custom van off at Paco's. Then I paid someone to pick me up in Palm Springs and take me to LA. After I left the van and keys and filled out the paper work I get a phone call. It was the woman at the front desk rudely telling me to pick up my van. I was confused and she raised her voice and said the same thing again. This is a California cruiser this job would have been about 5k so not a time waster. However it wasted my time, my money and I had to change flights which was almost 200$ on top of the driver and extra gas. Rude inexcusable behavior. Don't chance it. read more

Unfortunately after a year the emblems they shaved off became yellow and rusted under the paint. My car is white so its very notable. I wouldn't take it back knowing they take forever to complete work. Its a shame this corner was cut. When people ask what's the yellow stain under the paint I have to tell them what body shop did it when they ask. Its actually embarrassing. Embarrassing for me and pacos. Im disappointed that after everything we went through at that shop the stress of fixing my car still lingers. What's unfortunate is that I didn't have this problem before pacos. Paco's was once a reliable, friendly, and honest business that you could depend on. Things seems to have changed. I've gone multiple times recently to set an appointment with Paco and he is never around. I finally tried to get something fixed that had once been fixed on different side of car and now the price has doubled. The woman who tried to help me could only say it was a good price, even though I had paid half of that price just last August for same repair on other side of the car. Too bad. She couldn't wait to get out of that even though it wasn't closing time yet! Worse yet, I needed some parts for my car and she had all the information and my cell phone # but never called back. I went back a week later and she said she lost my information so I gave it to her again and waited another week and again never heard anything. I would never recommend this place to anybody. Paco's Auto Body is only blocks away. I thought it would convenient and nice to patronize my new neighborhood businesses. Unfortunately, after stopping by for an estimate and over 4 phone calls... I couldn't even get an estimate! Each time I called after one and two weeks... I was told by the woman... I'll call you right back. Never happened. Apparently they don't want or need new business. Maybe Paco doesn't know that this woman working for him is jeopardizing his reputation. Paco might do good work... but TRYING to get an estimate was just painful. Great work = above and beyond what was to be done. Scraped three panels leaving a driveway on a stone wall. Est. came in and work was on the nose. With some extra minor repair touch ups done, too from damage caused by floatsam or jetsam caused by debris getting caught in flash floods this past summer. And a driver door slightly bent getting caught in an automatic chain closing a garage door. I drive a 2013 Fusion Hybrid SE. Diana gets busy, but does return phone calls; and best to just show up for an estimate if it's not a major repair. Asked for car in three days and received it in three days. And, Paco advised on getting some stripping for the door edges that he would install free! Woo Hoo. I'm sold on them. read more

I will have to agree with Greg P. I wish I had read his review before going here. This shop was recommended by a friend who used them in the past--I will make sure he reads this. I also had issues with the new management--specifically Diana. Bottom line--the car wasn't ready when they said. They called the night before and said it was ready--when I showed up I was told "a few more hours" that turned into 4 1/2 more hours. I had issues with their payment plan--cash or CHECK! Check--what auto body place takes checks~!-- NO CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS--an "ongoing issue that hasn't been resovled in weeks" I got Diana in a blantant lie about who she spoke to at my insurance company--I don't trust this management. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Towed my car there for a paint job and, after 2 weeks of trying to get a quote and finally driving there personally to speak with Paco (at which point I saw a bunch of the workers leaning all over my car with their lunches spread out and eating over the hood of my car). I paid a $2500 down payment for Paco to start working. He has had my car and my money for two months now. not only can I not get updates on my car when I call to ask about the progress (on the rare occasion someone picks up the phone) but The receptionist never has any clue what's going on with my car and always says I have to talk to Paco but whenever I call, I'm told Paco is not there but they'll have him call me back... he never does. when I go over to the shop physically to check on the progress of my car come to find out that, after having my car for two months no one has done any work on it at all! It's been sitting outside with the windows down and is all dirty inside and out. and now the shop has been sold. Paco doesn't even own the place anymore. Couldn't even reclaim possession of my car or get a refund for my down payment when I stopped by because the only person at the shop was the receptionist and she did not have the ability to do what I asked. I bought my car in for an estimate and spoke with the owner. He looked at my car and said he would email me a quote in a few days. A week goes by and nothing, so I called and spoke with another employee who said she would find out what was going on and call me back that day. I never heard back from her until I called again 2 weeks after I was supposed to get my quote. Maybe they have so much business they can turn customers away but I don't think that's a good business practice. I stopped by today and spoke with another employee who says he spoke to the owner and will call me tomorrow. If the would like me to rate them up from a 1 star then I expect to get an estimate by tomorrow. read more

Paco's does excellent body work, but I had an awful experience with the new ownership. The old owner gave me a verbal quote and I went back a few weeks later to schedule it. When I arrived, I was told the business had been sold and, since the old quote wasn't in writing, they would have to rebid it. Okay, seems fair. The new bid came in $286.45 more than the previous verbal bid and that's their prerogative. Maybe not the best PR for a regular customer, but I accepted it. The morning I left the car, Tammi saw my yellow Post It note with the previous owner's quote and said she'd honor it. That was a very nice gesture, and both my mother and I told her that we appreciated it. Unfortunately, when we picked up the car, Tammi didn't recall the conversationa and Diana, who I understand is the new owner, said that she had already told me what the new price was. They both acted like we were trying to pull a fast one on them. Needless to say, it left an awful impression and we have no intention of returning. Too bad, because they continue to do nice work; just don't believe anything they tell you unless it's in writing. read more

as a previous satisfied customer i reently went to pacos. i wondered after leaving if it was the same owner, something felt different to me. i arrived in the afternoon and the person that does the estimates had left to run an errand. finally i asked if paco was there and a guy at the counter said he was in the back. they went and got him, but his name tag didn't say paco, and no one mentioned that the place had changed hands. this guy didn't look like what i remembered paco to look like, and even commented on this, but no one mentioned that it wasn't him, and the company had sold. this person said he could check the car and said when the girl came back that does the computer print out they would fax me the estimate. that was several days ago,, and after trying to contact them every day since, i only receive an answering machine which i leave a message asking them to please call me. i have yet to receive their return call, or the fax with the information for the car. certainly not the service that paco was known for in the past. read more
