I've lived in Perth for 15 years now so I have had time to decide what restaurants are worth the price of my money and time. Every year for my grand father's birthday we end up going to pacos. So I believe I've ate here another to have a opinion. Pacos is the most inconsistent restaurant I have ever been to, the food has a constant inconstancy to it! If you are with another person and order the same thing the quality will never be the same. I remember last year I came here to catch up with my sister over dinner. I ordered the T-bone steak expecting a wonderful juicy flavour filled piece of meat. I was wrong it was raw and had a horrible outside. I was extremely disappointed! But there are times where the food is of high quality such as the bbq ribs that where succulent and delicious. Overall pacos makes me want to live for another 100 years just to see where it will be. But right now they need to focus on getting there act together. I give it 2 starss but I have hope that pacos will go back to the warm wonderful restaurant that I once knew it for. read more

We were so excited about the large vegan menu but the price for what we ended up getting was entirely inappropriate :( Tiny portions, burgers like they were made at McDonalds but for £15, had to spread ketchup on the buns ourselves (because no sauce) and no toppings apart from lettuce and a slice of cucumber, hardly any taste to the cauliflower steaks we ordered, too. Complained to staff- no discount. Spent £71 on food that wasn't enjoyable. Go eat somewhere else to get your money's worth.... read more

Absolutely top notch food. If you like Papa Joes in dundee, a trip to Pacos in Perth is much more worthy of a visit. Think of it as Papa Joes older more handsomer brother. The decor is extremely similar, as is the menu, but seeing as Pacos has been around for much longer you can clearly see where Papa Joes have taken their inspiration from. The food is wonderful. The staff are polite and bring you everything you need without hassle. It makes me quite sad this quality of restaurant isnt located in my home town!! Well worth a visit! read more

Been going here for 5 years now and the menu has just slightly changed, still no fish and chips on menu tho!! cant seem to understand why. U go here knowing you wont be surprised but foods ok, not cheap. good for groups and familys and gets abit rowdy on a friday night. read more

Paco's is a family themed restaurant which has lots of memorabilia decorating the walls and even the ceilings. Some people don't like this type of place but I certainly do. I like looking at the different objects and what's more I love the menu. It has some regular classics but what is does very well is its Mexican dishes. I love the fajitas which I regularly order but the chilli with its big chunks of beef are also worthy of mention. It is very busy when there is something on at the concert hall and at the weekends so it is better to reserve a table in advance. Also if you are not keen on children I would avoid over the weekend or some school holidays. read more

Noisy, overpriced boil in the bag cooking-by-numbers dining. Everything just tastes a bit overcooked, over-salted and oily. Fine maybe for a staff night out where food isn't the prime motivator, or a kids birthday party. read more

Cheerful, friendly, does what it sets out to do, which is diner friendly, easy-to-eat food; burgers, fries, onions rings, fajitas, ribs etc etc. There's enough 'stuff' on the walls to keep a flagging conversation going and the house wines and beers will provide the same service if required. Child friendly, which may or may not be a good thing depending on the size (and age) of your group. read more

My mum stays in Carnouste, I stay in Glasgow, so we meet up every few months in Perth as it's sort of centralish. We have seen Paco's neon sign often from Kinnoull St car park and decided to finally give it a try. Bear in mind this was a busy Saturday in the run up to Christmas, and this place was empty. Never a good sign! There were almost more staff than customers. The decor is amazing and the place is spotless so our hopes were high. After much discussion about dressings, my mother ordered a Greek Salad to start, the waitress had no knowledge of the dressings available, so oil and balsamic vinegar was requested. I ordered the mozzarella sticks. The salad arrived with the merest smear of olive oil, not a spot of balsamic! The mozzarella sticks were fine, accompanying salsa was in the tiniest of dishes. For main, we ordered the Big Veggy Burger, with a side of onion rings and a Beef Chilli Cheese baked potato. Well, the potato that arrived was tiny, and was in fact cheese and bacon! Not one to make a fuss my mother just ate it, but when the waitress asked, 'is everything Ok?' did point out the mistaken order pointing out she'd asked for beef chilli 'oh yea, so you did' was the response. Now onto the burger. It was so greasy from being deep fried that I was slightly queasy after eating it, which is a shame, as it was obviously home made and full of delicious sweet potato and other veg, not a bog standard frozen one, unfortunately the skinny fries were exactly that, frozen from a bag. The onion rings were crispy but again a little too greasy. When the bill came it was altered to include the potato served, but no discount or apology was offered. I'm afraid we won't be back to Paco's on our next weekend get together. Also, the free WiFi only worked for all of a few minutes before disappearing altogether . . . read more

'Paco's' is a popular and large restaurant. It has an extensive menu - with something for everyone. The restaurant is very child and family friendly. The walls are covered with sporting memorabilia - so there is plenty to look at! The food is tasty and the portions are quite large. The restaurant does get very busy and can be quite noisy - so not an ideal pick for a romantic evening! But, take your mates or your kids and have a good time! read more

Just had a 10/10 pizza. Perfect. Just what I wanted after a long drive and couple of beers. Food top notch, atmosphere to match and Louis Jordan on the sound system. Job done. Thanks guys, well done. read more
