Chili Relleno chicken enchiladas lunch special
    Lisa P.

Absolutely loved our experience here. No wait time got seated right away. Greeted by a friendly server. She mentioned it was her fifth day working there. She did an amazing job. Food was so good. From the rice to refried beans to the lunch special we ordered. Mine was the chili relleno with chicken enchilada, Second plate ordered was also a lunch special was great. Nice size portion for a lunch special. We got full and took home our leftovers for dinner. I like how the cook came out I'm guessing maybe she's an owner to ask how everything was. Nice atmosphere they have a bar if you want to order adult cocktails. Give Pacos Tacos a try. Let's keep them here in Kapolei. Surround yourself with Joy aloha Lisa

My search for my favorite Mexican restaurant on Oahu continues, and I really enjoyed my visit today! We started with chips and salsa, which came with traditional red salsa and two additional bottled salsas. My favorite was the orange-colored one, it was so good! For an appetizer, I ordered the taquitos, which came out quickly and were surprisingly filling. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken fajita skillet. It was served with a plate of rice and beans, along with pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole on the side. My friend ordered the two-taco plate with Baja fish tacos, rice, and beans. She thought they were delicious! The tacos were topped with slaw, cabbage, tomatoes, and an avocado salsa. The only thing I didn't quite enjoy was the horchata. After taking a few sips, I asked if I could switch it to a Jamaica drink instead. It was better, but it still didn't quite hit the spot for me. One thing I really appreciated was that we were served water immediately after being seated, in the cutest Corona cups! Another server also stopped by to check on us, which was a nice touch and showed great teamwork. Thank you for the fast and friendly service. We will definitely be back! We also watched another table order a margarita that completely stole the show. It was served with a little duck on top and was basically a giant pour-your-own cocktail for the entire table. I thought it was genius and definitely had that wow factor. I AM COMING BACK!

Fantastic friendly staff, lovely decor, comfortable chairs, shaded outdoor dining and has the best margaritas around town. Unlike so many other Mexican restaurants on this island the menu items are not premade so if you ask for something special, chicken fajita (please, no onions for me ) the chef can make it happen! Highly recommended if you want to enjoy the homemade taste of a Mexican kitchen ! Paco Taco is the best on O'ahu

Carne asada torta - yum! I'd order again!

Pacos is a hidden gem in Kapolei! Located in the same shopping center as the Foodland and Curry House, located next to Gina's you'll find them. I don't know much about Mexican food..so I was honestly amused to see they had a sandwich "torta" on the menu. I had to try it! I got a carne asada torta which came with fries. There was a sauce that came with it..and I have to say it was pretty good! The bred was soft and crispy (outside) at the same time. It was a decent size where I couldn't eat it all. Service was amazing and the staff were very attentive. They have a full bar along with a variety of desserts. I definitely want to check them out for pau hana and for desserts. I'm sure after a few tequila shots, the place is very fun! Writing this review is making me crave another torta..perhaps I'll be visiting next week!

Services was bad, waiter confused!!! Food taste good ut chili Verdes burrito, all rice and beans. No pork!!!!

I really wanted to like this spot, but the whole experience was pretty disappointing. I ordered the steak burrito, and honestly it was tiny--like snack-sized. On top of that, rice and beans aren't included (you have to pay extra), which felt odd for a Mexican restaurant. For what you get, the prices are way too high. The service didn't help either. We were literally the only people in the restaurant, but all the staff were sitting around eating their own meals. Our server dropped off the food and then turned his back to us to eat his meals. When it came time for the bill, he just kept eating at a nearby table while we sat there waiting. Between the slow service, the underwhelming food, and the inflated prices, it just wasn't worth it. There are so many better, more authentic, and affordable options around--this one won't be on my list to return.

Plantation tea.. unsweetened but it has pineapple juice... very good.

Came on a Friday for lunch. Great service. Ordered Plantation tea.. unsweetened but note it does have pineapple juice... very good and it's huge. A definitely a surprise when it and the sodas came in a mini pitcher. All of the dishes were very good. Service was very attentive. A definite return to try some of the other dishes they have.

Quesadilla appetizer Lunch A- Carnitas Taco & Chicken Enchilada Plate
    Mari M.

The service was so quick and they bought our food out within the next 10-15 min after we ordered! While my friend and I was praying they was holding out plate to let us finish praying. They checked on us every once in a while to make sure we was good. The food was delicious, we both got paco's tacos lunch special which is Lunch A: carnitas tacos (either chicken or beef) & chicken enchilada, comes with beans and rice. For appetizer we got quesadilla. Definitely go there if craving Mexican food on the west side!

Upon arrival we were advised we could choose any open seat. There's a bar area, a good handful of indoor & outdoor tables and then a lower bar seating area by the food prep. Drink & food menus delivered promptly as well as glasses of water with a bottle left to refill as needed. Lots of choices for both food and drink. We opted for margaritas & common dishes. Drinks were very weak & small. As we requested blended, they appeared to be more ice than flavor. No hint of alcohol whatsoever. Dish presentations were pleasant. Food wasn't as tasty as most Mexican places I've tried. My shredded beef in my red sauce enchiladas tasted stale in a few bites. Tortillas were tougher than normal. No knife provided to help cut them & it was difficult using the side of my fork. Shrimp fajitas had plenty of veggies, less than normal on shrimps. Beans and rice were decent. Service was friendly but the one thing I despise? Is when they bring you your tab on one of those handheld tablets. All it's showing you is the cost & set to automatically give an 18% gratuity. I'm human. I make errors. I'd like to see what I've been charged for to be sure you didn't make any errors also! And... kindly step away while I do my transaction please. I don't enjoy feeling pressured or rushed.

    Chocolate flan. Not my favorite

Finally I tried here for take out. It is in Kapolei shopping center which is by the foodland. I ordered from local by toast. 2 carne asada tacos and burritos and chocolate flan Tacos is only 2 simple tacos is $13. Burritos was ok.$14 Chocolate flan is $10. Tacos is just some bork in corn taco also only 1 slice of corn taco for $13. Over price. Chocolate flan isn't my favorite. Staffs are nice so that's why I gave 3stars. I don't like to write negative comments but food isn't worth the price.

Menudo with flour tortillas, ceviche with BASKET OF TORTILLA CHIPS
    Kekuawela T.

Went there because we were unsure of what we wanted to eat for lunch. Turned out to be our new favorite spot now! The food was amazing! The ceviche tasted fresh. The torta carne asada was savory, the bread was crunchy. But the best item we had was the menudo! So good we had to order an extra one to go home! Maybe the best menudo on the island... The service great! Everyone was friendly and kind. The wait for our food was short. Loved the photos of their family on the walls, it reflects their values and the feeling that everyone is family there. Also prices were affordable. Portion sizes are a bit bigger than average so come with an appetite (or be like us and take your food home for later!). There were various items on their menu and they had a whole other menu with interesting drinks! Loved the variety. Overall, this restaurant was wonderful!

Honestly a good traditional Mexican food restaurant on the golf course with a big bar. Loved the food and my virgin Pina colada (I'm pregnant). Me and the baby were satisfied. Service was great like I expected! Will come here again next time I'm on the island.

    Yvonne S.

The food was really good. I got a torta that had a lot of flavor. They had so many things on the menu I wanted to try. I am definitely come back to try their tacos. We had their fried ice cream for dessert. It looked really good, but I don't think fried ice cream is my thing. However the churros were delicious! They also have a kids menu they can color it as well to keep the littles busy. Our server was pleasant. We were seated outside because of our party size. I do caution you though, it's bigger outside but very noisy as it's right on the highway.

It's one of the main restaurants that a small group of hotels offer, along with a sports bar, Eggs and Things, Monkeypod, and a new poke place that's in the same shopping center with the ABC store. Mekiko Cantina sits in a gorgeous location right in front, with plumeria trees and green all around. They have indoor and outdoor seating, both are fine, but you do get the benefit of AC inside if it's too humid for your liking. Our family ordered and the food came out not too much longer. In the meantime, we got a chip platter and frozen mango alcoholic drinks which were tasty and a good size! The food is basic Mexican food, like tacos and rice and beans. It's all somewhat unseasoned though, meaning you should probably add something yourself. Truthfully, it's not the best Mexican food ever, but they offer a nice view, indoor and outdoor seating, a good atmosphere, and basic food. The service is fine, as we've never had an issue here with much. Additionally, this is one of the few restaurants that accept the meal vouchers that some of the hotels give to their guests to redeem, so if you do use the voucher, expect to pay for tax and tip, typically.

We're also not people who only enjoy fancy restaurants--we're just as happy grabbing musubi from 7-Eleven or pork hash from the Manapua Man. Good food is good food, regardless of where it's from. We placed an online order for pickup, and the first item we opened was the carne asada plate. Right away, everything looked very dry. The meat was tough and chewy, and the rice was clumpy and dry, almost as if it had been sitting out for a while. It wasn't a great first impression. The biggest disappointment, though, was the tres leches cake. We love tres leches and order it whenever we get the chance, whether it's from a restaurant, farmers market, or a local home baker. We ordered two slices. After one bite of the first slice, it had a distinctly sour taste that reminded us of spoiled milk, so we stopped eating it immediately. Before trying the second slice, we smelled it first, and it had the same spoiled milk smell. To make sure we weren't imagining it, we brought both slices to family members, and everyone agreed that they smelled like spoiled milk. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable eating the rest of our order. Although the horchata tasted fine, we ended up throwing everything away because we had lost confidence after the dessert experience. I can only speak on our experience, but unfortunately it was a very disappointing one. I understand that not every meal will be perfect, but serving a dessert that smelled and tasted spoiled was concerning. Hopefully this was an isolated incident, but based on our visit, we won't be returning.

I prefer plain ranch - the kids pasta was good. Well, one kiddo loved it while the other didn't. So it depends on preferences on this one. I will say i did taste it and it was meh... - another kiddo got the shoyu noodles and its plain. So if you got a simple palate plain jane child, they will like this one. For drinks, it depends on taste and preferences. I was bummed on this one. Mainly looking fwd to the drinks and it didn't satisfy my tastebuds. It was too twisted, fusion, modified etc. i prefer a mai tai a plain old fashioned mai tai without the fixings. The orange foam was too strong it overwhelmed the dark rum im used to and prefer. So i decided to try the ube rey instead which was much better but still not as much to my liking/preferences. Ambiance was good but outdoor seating may be a bit of a nuance due to flies swarming around you often. The swinging table fan helps but are still annoying plus the tropical heat also didn't help.
