I love Thai food, so I'm always game to try a "new to me" spot. Pad Thai Express was right next door to where I was having a blood draw. So, after 16 hours of fasting, I arrived with a hearty appetite. The place has tables for inside dining. You either order at a self serve kiosk (debit or credit orders) or at the counter (cash orders). The restaurant itself is ok. Nothing to "wow" you, but it seemed clean, albeit a bit cluttered in the front with some boxes off to the side. The order process was easy. I went with a fresh shrimp salad roll with peanut sauce and their garlic lover's plate with chicken and white rice. The salad roll was fresh and crispy. Paired with their peanut sauce, which was delish, i give them a solid 5 stars. I would definitely order those again. The garlic chicken was very flavorful, and with a heat level of 3, good enough to make my upper lip get a little sweaty. Just the way I like it. The veggies were plentiful, but a bit on the mushy side for me. I think a few minutes less on the heat would have been perfect. I give that dish a 3, just for the mushy veggies. The flavor was good, but overcooked carrots, broccoli and cabbage made me sad. The portion size was good. I had leftovers for later on! Not sure I'd order the garlic chicken again, though. The young man who brought my order was pleasant, polite and quiet. The cook offered me a kind smile, and seemed nice. Overall solid 4. Food was okay (average 2.5 star), but service on 12-19-2025 is subpar. Staff didn't greet customers or mention where the line starts? Just a bunch of people waiting around for 15 minutes without any idea what is going on. Also, did they change the owner and staff? Noticed Hispanic staff (man and girl) cooking Thai food and taking orders. Staff is not welcoming at all. Will find another Thai place instead of returning here. read more

I've never tried Pad Thai before so I'm not sure if it's suppose to be like how it tasted and smelled. The pad thai I ordered was chicken, after recieving it, I smelled it, it smelled so fishy. I've never smelled or tasted chicken that was so fishy. I tried to eat it but the chicken's fishy scent just wouldn't go down my throat. I apologize if I worded anything wrongly. Ordered pad Thai and curry. The pad Thai had little flavor and the curry had the wrong protein, and separated after a few minutes.

Service was fine, orange chicken tasted like oil - no orange flavor. Pad Thai was ok - no green onion or peanuts, just noodles, onion and chicken. Very boring and not so good. read more

Service was awful! The young woman on the front taking order was rude and was very disrespectful! My friend ordered wonton soup and she got something that didn't look like wonton soup! It had something that resembled wontons and carrots and some chicken floating in the bowl, nothing like the picture! I'm not going back there! What a disappointment! read more

We've been coming here for years, and it never fails to disappoint. They are closed Sunday and Monday, and for us, that is the only downfall. I can't stay upset though, as this is a family owned restaurant and they deserve a break. We stopped in this afternoon and everything we ordered was tasty and hot. We also had a spring roll with peanut sauce that we ate before getting a picture. All was very good. read more

FYI: this place is closed from 7.19.2022 - 8.1.2022 Tasty food, great drinks! I've been here twice in the past week and a half because my friends love it, and it's funny that I hadn't been here before. Boba is comparable to the mall place, and is about a dollar cheaper. Honestly I couldn't even eat my yellow curry...there is a 'funk' to it...like it's gone bad or something. It almost tastes like urine. Just awful. To top it off, I called and let them know the food smelled 'off' and instead of a response, I got a curt employee asking me to essentially 'prove it' and bring it in so I could show them it was bad. Do I have time to (or should I be made to) drive my spoiled food across town to prove it's gone bad? AWFUL customer service. Won't be back. read more

I'm giving 2 star because I'm leaving review based on one dish. Pad Se Ew I tried was not the best from where I tried from so many other Thai restaurants. The sauce they used was basically just sugar. There was no savory but just sugar. I feel like after eating 1/4 of it has met my sugary in take worth the whole week. It would be great if they use 50% less sugar and use more of soy sauce and oyster sauce, otherwise the ingredients used were really good and texture of noodle was great! read more

I love their showering rama, my family thinks the larb is a perfect healthy starter, my husband loves the steak salad, their sides of peanut sauce are a necessity. We were pleasantly surprised by this hole in the wall. The level of spice based on star rating is spot on! Will be coming back surely because all I have tried is crave-able and service and staff seem devoted, clean, and professional. Yummy Thai iced tea and mango sticky rice as well. Not sure about the bad reviews because everything I have had here tastes really good. But the last time I stopped in, this past week, might have been the best. After seeing so many people come in to pick up their take-outs and hearing so many order Ginger Broccoli I gave it a try, with chicken and three-stars of spice. Large portion and super tasty. So this past time I ordered that, and my wife, who was here for the first time, ordered the Showering Rama - spinach, chicken and peanut sauce. Hers was two-stars of spice. I couldn't stop stealing hers. We were supposed to share, but she only ate a little of mine because it was spicier than she liked. However, she downed most of hers and I finished the rest. I'm definitely ordering that next time Their peanut sauce is so good, and all of the dishes I have tried with it have had ample quantities of it. That is one thing I really like about this place. So many Asian restaurants either have very little sauce, or moisture of some kind, on their food, or have sickeningly sweet sauce. Sometimes too salty as well. I hate dry food, and excessively salty food even more. But these guys keep most of their servings moist, and I like that a lot. So there are classier places out there, but the food here is super tasty and reasonably priced. read more

Great little place for Thai food on Cooper Point. Very casual inside, and service tends to be quick, so we tend to choose it for a weekday lunch. Portion sizes are good. We like the garlic lover and showering Rama (though at times the showering Rama is a little too wet). Their boba is also really good. I stopped in here for lunch thinking they would be fast since the name of their business is "Pad Thai Express". They weren't that fast and it actually took about 15-20 minutes to get my food. There was only one person cooking. Once I had my pad thai in front of me, I immediately noticed that there was no lime wedge or crumbled peanuts that 99 percent of the time come with Pad Thai. I was bummed about that. The flavor was good, though, and it was a decent portion. I enjoyed it but would have like the zip of a lime and the crunch of the peanuts. The prices are as high or higher than most thai restaurants that service the same type of food. It was 9.78 for chicken pad thai and water. The interior is cafeteria like with no real atmosphere. It reminded me of a subway or taco del mar for Thai food, really. I don't dislike the place but I also don't think it was great enough for repeat business. It was ok. read more
