I've gone to the stand alone Pattaya for years. I found the staff there always pleasant and their product the absolute top of the line. Imagine my surprise when I found out Pattaya Express was open at the food truck park off Lacey Blvd. the menu at Pattaya Express is a limited offering of what's available at their stand alone location. My recommendation at Pattaya, is ANYTHING noodle based. I decided on the Drunken noodles. An EXTREMELY flavorful rice noodle dish. I opted for tofu as my protein. All of the noodle dishes at Pattaya are good. The average price is pretty common for food of this type in our area. We ordered through Uber Eats a couple of dishes that were to be dropped at a local brewery that doesn't serve food. We have eaten here in the past (about a year ago a couple times) and have not had a bad experience. The bad: we asked for utensils but they were not packed. We know their spice level is spicier than most joints: I normally order mid-level and my partner orders Thai spicy. This order we asked for 2/4 and 3.5/4. They were both the same level of spice. The ugly: The drunken noodle is supposed to have a delicious sauce. If you look at the photo, you'll see that I have unsauced noodles. The food was a mouthful of spicy blandness. Horrible. The pad thai- though a nicer color- also had no flavor outside of hot. To say that we were disappointed is a vast understatement. We'll never go back. read more

Drunken Noodle - flavorless, bland and absolutely disgusting! I have eaten at their main restaurant numerous times and it's always good. Ordered a Laos papaya salad and she recommended to put the spicy sauce on the side since I was debating a 2 or 3 spice level and came home to bland Laos papaya salad with NO chili sauce on the side at all. They are a little delicate with the spice, if you want some bite go beyond a 2 star here. Pad Thai left a little to be desired, but so far, better than others in Olympia. However, the drunken noodle was fantastic, great pepper flavor. The eggs in both dishes were also notably great. This is the food truck location! I ordered to go their Shrimp Papaya salad and fresh shrimp roll and very disappointed!!! There was NO shrimp in any of 2 dishes I ordered! I called the food truck and advised them of my order that had no shrimp and they advised there were out of shrimp. I asked why didn't my order have shrimp and she replied something about the shrimp supply not available. I asked why they didn't advise me and offer me an alternative because the menu on the food truck indicated shrimp. She advised that she was sorry and would have the manager fix the sign. I loved this place at first, but sadly the quality keeps going down. Sometimes the dishes have good flavor, other times it's a bit bland. But the biggest issue is that there is no consistency in spice level. We've gotten a 2 that had no spice, and a 2 that was so spicy I literally couldn't eat it. We ordered our dishes with 2-star spice because 1-star was none and it was spicy so I don't think we'd ever do the 4-star lol. It's so good that I forgot to take photos before I ate! The people working in the truck are friendly, the menu is consise and there is something for everyone. It's a catch all location on a main road which has incredibly fast service. We got three Thai Fried Rice orders and demolished them within minutes of sitting down. The only downside was the rice wasn't day old which makes it soft but no less delicious. I recommend! read more

It took me a couple of weeks to stop by this new Thai food truck, but I am glad my wife finally talked me into it. The food is of high enough quality that I would be happy if I were served the same thing in a sit-down restaurant. We had Tom Yum, tofu, rice, and Thai Basil Chicken - it had big, authentic Thai flavors. Even the rice was cooked perfectly. Except for soup, it is served in cardboard-based rather than Styrofoam containers, so I didn't feel quite as guilty about my trash. Now, it is not going to be quite as cheap as, say, a burrito from a taco truck, as meals range from $10-$12, but it's a great take-out option when you want to pick up some good Thai food. read more

Fun street food type Thai place.. had the pad see ew 4 spicy and it had a good amount of heat.. thought it was a little too saucy though and they use a different wide noodle than most other Thai places for pad see ew in the US but it was good and the portions were pretty big for 13.13 a plate... will go back and try some other dishes. The cashier was very nice. She gave us options with our food but didn't deliver. Food was over salted and the papaya salad was over sauced. Pad Thai was soggy and the peanut sauce for the satay tasted like microwaved peanut butter. We requested for sticky rice which was $4 and received white rice. What kind of a Thai fast food is this? The food is way overpriced. Please try eating here if you wish to waste your money. They need to get it right or don't make the food at all. They're wasting space for real food and peoples money. On top of everything else, they couldn't get their card machine working so we waited even longer with our food sitting inside the plastic bag. The cashier asked for us to come back with cash which luckily we scrounged what cash we had available to pay the order. Chicken Pad Thai was very good. Spice level of 2 was pretty warm and we'll try a1 spice next time. Egg rolls were very good and we liked the dipping sauce. Portions were very good. Since it's a trailer in a gravel parking lot it's not handicap friendly. Tables are outside so we ate in the car and at home. Next visit we will call and take it home. Enjoy. read more

Much better thai options in the area. Ordered Thai Basil and an order of egg rolls - egg rolls tasted like mold and had a soft, sour flavor. Egg rolls were 7$ for 3, and did not seem handmade - seemed frozen. At Sarai you can get 6 for 4$. Thai basil was dry and had a sprinkle of veggies and meat over just rice, but the box was mostly just rice. Most other Thai restaurants (Sarai, Thai pavilion, Saigon rendezvous) will give 3x the portion for the price, and will actually be high quality. Someone should really do a health inspection here as it seems the food was moldy/bad. read more

My favorite Thai food truck in the Olympia/Lacey area! I'm a big fan of their sticky rice and they have some good stir fry choices. They are also very spicy which is nice because a lot of other Thai places in town have very low spice levels. People are friendly and the food comes out quickly! I ordered here tonight on Uber. I did not get everything that I ordered. The receipt that came with the order only partially what was submitted on Uber. In addition to not receiving 3 of the items I ordered, the egg rolls leave much to be desired and the one Thai fried rice I did receive came with ground nuts in it. I cannot eat nuts, and there are no nuts in the description, nor has there ever been nuts on this dish in the several years I have been ordering from Pattaya. The quality both times I have ordered from the the Pattaya Express has been a complete let down. I will stick with the Pattaya restaurant where quality seems to be a priority.
