OMG the Pao de Quejo!!! It's perfection- $.60 for each large cheesy delicious one. They have the most amazing flavor and texture compared to some others that I've had, and they were warm at 11:30 in the morning. :) There is also a small market and other traditional Brazilian items. read more

My Brazilian friend introduced me to this local bakery & I finally revisited recently. We got the churrasquino sandwhiches, brigadeiros, pao de queijo. Everything was delicious. The sandwiches are made fresh on the grill and reminds me of a really good philly cheese steak with tomatoes. The brigadeiro is a small truffle looking chocolate ball with chocolate sprinkles and was a good sized dessert treat. The pao de queijo was small and yummy and priced at 2/$1. The inside of the bakery is casual and laidback. There is a good amount of seating and seems a lot of locals hang out and dine in. Always recommend this local spot. Service is great the cashier was friendly and the food took about 15 mins to make since it was right off the grill. The bakery treats are made daily and ready to go. read more

I stopped by on a recommendation of a Brazilian friend. I started with the cheese balls. Moved on to the ham, cheese & tomato pastry. I had the monster burger & now I'm stuck on the corn cake. I didn't come here for breakfast and I didn't come here for lunch. Yes it's a bakery and the baked goods looked delicious, but I didn't come for any of those either. I was here for an acai bowl. This was my first acai bowl and it was everything I wanted it to be, delicious. Acai blended with banana and honey in a bowl. Topped with granola and sliced bananas, strawberries and another drizzle of honey. They could have used more strawberries but it was still a great snack. It's a great eat for breakfast or an anytime snack. Get one. I also had a cup of good strong coffee which is brewed all day. The scenery isn't the best, and my favorite site was an older gentleman wearing a Sues Rendevouz hat, but I will be coming back here again. read more

Every time I go the food is amazing! Prices are affordable and they have amazing Brazilian goodies that'll have you coming back for more. Their pastel and coxinha are my favorites! Having been to Brazil it's amazing to have found an authentic Brazilian bakery near home where I could find fresh pao de quejo (cheese bread) among other things, they have them 3 for $1 which is a steal, also they have fresh juices such as passion fruit, also I've seen some grocery kind of items that you usually won't find in an American supermarket, its located in a Portuguese area of mount Vernon so you will hear a lot of Portuguese in the area, the ambiance is nice and staff is friendly, I came here for breakfast the other day and had a vegetable omelette, so I know they have some hot dishes as well, also I've seen them have some stuff such as pastels, chocolates, pastries and many other things, like I said being in Brazil and having the real stuff I could say that this place is very authentic, I like it and I'll be back for sure. read more

I've came here before to have the Açai that this place is known for... And it was simply "ok"... The employees seem very careless, They don't know what to recommend you. I came here for pao de queijo and it tasted plain and stale, bought cookies that were also stale (must have been sitting on the shelf for a while.) The only good thing about this place is that they carry authentic brazilian packaged goods (ad of course Guarana)... The location is not the best and the parking is always full. If you can take a trip midtown for brazilian treats, by all means avoid this place. read more

Had lunch here the other day. Had the Pada Fango sandwich (also called Monster Sandwich) Hugh! large fresh roll Inside was fresh grilled chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, sweet corn, ham, cheese, bacon and fried egg. Could only eat 1/2. Delicious Had flan for desert; best I have ever had! They have breakfast with lot to chose from. Ok this place is so amazing they have a few areas to sit and eat one being the counter or the tables in the back. Now everything here Is good the prices are so good and the people are amazing!! I mean the customers are so nice everybody is friendly and the food is so good.... But I came back!! And was treated like shit. Man did I do something wrong? The lady basically ignored us after we sat down from ordering, didn't bring no drinks my daughters asking for water or something to drink while the lady is passing by. I get up realize my sandwich isn't even being mad I pay for what's at the table and she's giving me sarcasm in Spanish and then gets mad when I ask for my drinks she had this look like I'm bothering her. I just stopped at the bakery before the beach. I ordered and asked for thirteen meat pastries. I even waited for them to be fried. Fifteen minutes. I asked her three times if they were meat. On the birthday the cake I both was picked up for my husband was totally wrong.with wrong letter name on top and inside was not chocolate as i ordered ... and the owner and manager refuse to even talk about even a partial refund. ...
