Paddington, it's one of 19 stations in the United Kingdom managed directly by Network Rail. It belongs to the Great Western Main Line, many passengers will come here go to west London and the Thames Valley region and long-distance places , which in South West England and South Wales. It's the terminus for the Heathrow Express to the London Heathrow Airport.
I came here it wasn't for any transport reason, although we could just use the Heathrow express, but we still have some other places like to visited before we leave, beside the underground is much cheaper, also took longer time to get to the Heathrow Airport. Well, the reason I was here because there someone I would like to visit here. Right, the Paddington bear. he might not be as famous as Harry Potter, but he definitely cute enough to visit. I have to say the Paddington station is huge, it really took quite some time to get around, mainly because it was under construction when I was visiting. So I had to go around the whole place.
As soon as I got the the main hall, I saw the familiar scene which just like in the Paddington movie. So I walked around a bit, then I finally found the Paddington bear. He was just sitting under the clock waiting someone to visit him. Unlike the Harry Potter in station King's Cross, you don't have to wait on the line for a really long time. The Paddington bear gift store is at the other side, which there had also a Paddington bear figure with colors. I think its also great to have a walk here, the only thing might be a bummer is that the station actually quite far from the central city. And the underground pink line by some reason worked slowly than the other line when I was there, which it was funny, because the train was actually the new train, more comfortable than the other lines I used. It took me quite a long time to get here. So if you just stay here for a short time. I think better to check out other thing which on your list first. or, simply just find yourself a good reason to visit. The station is great, I like it here. read more
