I have never worked with someone that would communicate so precisely and everything went according to plan. The food. Mmmmm We are still salivating at the flavors. Paella valenciana and Paella de Pollo. Tender chunks of chicken and the rice cooked to perfection. The same with the Paella Valenciana. The seafood was tender and cooked perfectly. Catered my wife's 60th birthday and did an amazing job. Every point was covered where my wife just sat down after our buffet line. We had the meat paella with maduros and salad and bread rolls. The plates were mini paella platters which added a nice touch. We were extremely satisfied and are looking for an excuse to do it again. I would recommend them without hesitation. We were a small group of 10 so the price was right compared to going to a nice restaurant and all the hassles of eating now in a covid challenged society. We've hired Paella Party quite a few times to cater our annual office holiday party and they always do an amazing job. Besides their delicious paella, we've also had them do lechon asado with all the usual sides but the real stars IMO are the appetizers: at today's party we had garlic shrimp, lollypop lamb chops, tortilla Española, yuca fries, conch fritters, crab cakes, chicken skewers, a variety of croquetas, and more. And each item was amazing. I pigged out on all of those appetizers so I ended up taking home the main course of lechon, rice & beans, sweet plantains, & yuca in mojo which I look forward to having tomorrow. As always, the chef and his two servers arrive on time and keep their great food coming and spaced apart just right. I used Paella Party for my daughter's Bridal Shower and was really pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The cook and waiter showed up on time with everything we ordered, set up the tables and chairs with tablecloths, napkins glasses etc. The food was ready in time, the waiter far exceeded my expectations. He went around to the tables and offered each guest red or white wine, offered to refill water and refill plates with food. The party went so smoothly because of this and the food was delicious. The best part for me is that they broke everything down, took all the dirty plates, glasses and cutlery and off they went. NO CLEAN UP!!!! We used these guys for my son's first birthday in November 2013. The food was very very good. We ordered the seafood and chicken and just chicken and veggie paella. We also had shrimp cerviche and choristas for an app. We had over 60 people and ordered food for 50. There was plenty for 2nds for alot of people plus leftovers. They also supply salad and bread. The service was prompt and the timing good for the group to eat when the party started. We had this at a park in Hollywood. They are an approved Broward park vendor. The man who cooked did a great job but didnt seem very friendly or happy. It would be nice to have a better attitude at a happy function. The value was good and we were very satisfied and would use them again. The quests commented for months at church about how good it was. We had them cater my dad's 80th birthday party this past Saturday night. The food and service were amazing! Appetizers & paella for 35 people. Everyone was raving about how good it was. The bartender was top notch. I didn't even have to ask for another drink. He would find me an bring me what he knew I wanted. One vendor with everything. They also set up tables and chairs and could have also provided a tent if I suspected inclement weather with 72 hour notice. I will definitely use them again. I found Paella party by sheer coincidence because we had called 20 places before calling them, their website seemed pricey so we assumed it was over budget and left them for last. We're we WRONG. Amazing price , and even brought salad and bread. The paella was fantastic. VERY flavorful and packed of yummy seafood. I will definitely be placing future orders with them. To add to this, they were extremely pleasant and accommodating, we called Christmas morning to add rations and they did so without a problem and even offered to bring it by since we were on their way home . KEYS WEDDING--THE FOOD. Paella Party prepared a beautiful buffet with delicious food. They had a nice variety of salad, seafood, and steak, so everyone found something they liked. The paella was gorgeous. It was displayed in a giant pan with the shells from the lobsters arranged on top, so it was colorful and looked impressive, especially to out-of-town guests who had never had real paella before. So why only 3 stars? Two reasons: 1. The Service. Servers were, to a person, gruff and unsmiling. The man who acted as bartender was particularly rude. Our guests were actually joking about how hostile he was. I was a little embarrassed. Other than the head chef, the staff spoke no English at all. A smile would have gone a long way toward overcoming the language barrier, but the staff of Paella Party didn't have any. 2. Appetizers. There weren't any. This was mostly my fault. Before the wedding, the chef met with me at the venue. We walked the property together and figured out the logistics. We talked about the menu which included passed appetizers: one with plantains, another with chorizo. Somehow, the appetizers dropped off of our agreement about the time that I signed the contract. I know--MY BAD! Anyway, the result was that we had a cocktail hour with a rude bartender and no food. Not cool. If I'd had a bigger budget, I would have done Paella Party on Friday night and then a more formal plated dinner on the night of the wedding, but given our limited budget, the buffet was quite good. We decided to use Paella Party as the catering company for my daughter's wedding held at the Coral Gables Museum in Coral Gables, Florida on February 2, 2013. Although Paella Party was highly recommended by friends, I cannot say enough about what a really great choice it turned out to be. The paellas were superb; the Paella Valenciana with lobster chunks was succulent and abundant with all the different types of shellfish and fish; the Paella Regional (no shellfish) was fantastic; the appetizers we chose to serve were outstanding. The bartender and the waiting staff were professional and hard working from beginning to end, very polite and willing to please us and our guests. Boni Guenechea, the owner, is very knowledgeable, and is a true professional in his field, he is originator of paella parties in the United States; Blanca Espinoza, who was the coordinator for Paella Party, was on top of every detail, it was a pleasure to have worked with her; the chefs, Alberto ("Ondo") and Julio, who were not only incredible with the food, but funny and polite with the guests. The paellas were made in front of the guests, and could not get any fresher; this provided a wonderful entertainment for everyone, our local guests as well as those that came from other states and abroad were praising the great food and the service all night long. What better testament could possibly be made, that the wedding was a success, than their comments. It was a true pleasure working with Paella Party, except for the flowers and lighting, cake and liquor, they provided everything we needed, taking away from any stress that a wedding can bring.
