I have been with River Run Dental for many years. The service and facilities are very nice, but be…read moreready for low ball/inaccurate quotes for extra services where you're stuck with hundreds of dollars of uncovered service fees. This has happened multiple times to my family where RRD presents a quote that shows after insurance out-of-pocket fees for proposed services. Each time I have agreed to proceed based on those quotes and paid for the quote balance before leaving their office. Next thing I know I receive invoices for fees still due after insurance payments that are very significant. I have met with their billing/treatment coordinator and was told that they do not normally contact insurance companies for establishing customer quotes, but use a general database, although they present "insurance pays" amounts in the quotes. As a note, I did sign each quote that states that I will pay balances not paid by the insurance company, but I assumed quotes would be accurate or at least in the general ballpark. In the future RRD staff has agreed to actually coordinate with my insurance company to provide an accurate quote (this is not standard policy, so you have to ask for it), but I will not be going back. I feel ripped off. FYI, my insurance company is a major insurer.

I had to go back with days as the bite was painful even with drinking water. I am no dentist and can not self treat. I had to go back 2 second time with a week and the dentist waving his hands in the air simply said, he can't do anything!!! When I voice my frustration. He refused me any further treatment and said I could go see a different dentist. I followed a medical practitioner's advise to preventive care and am now left with pain and suffering, neither of which I had, had gone to his office for a free dental cleaning. Today, he replaced a crown that had come off, and his work prompted me to write this review. He first had to reshape the tooth structure under the crown and prepare the tooth and then re-cement the crown. There was no discomfort and everything was fully explained. The crown feels great. The office staff is also very professional and courteous. Highly recommend this office, and in particular, Dr. Lenoir.

I unfortunately had to move out-of-state, and he tried his best to help with my tooth problems before I had to move. He's knowledgeable, caring, and patient. He always tried to be conservative with the work he did on my teeth, focusing on the most important areas and didn't push expensive treatments on me that weren't 100% necessary. A lot of dentists I went to would 1.) look at my teeth and then decide on a plethora of things to do to them, without consulting me - and b) forget about the issues I had and/or not address them fully. Dr Davia always listened to my concerns and kept it simple, unless it was clear a more complex procedure was definitely needed. I wish I could give a bonus star for how painless the injections were (lots of dentists seem to rush this part and it causes a lot of pain and anxiety for me). Also the dental hygienist I saw, Kathleen, was so sweet and careful with my teeth. She was great at making me feel comfortable during my cleanings & always made me feel special.

This practice has poor bed side manner and is designed to squeeze every dollar that they can out of you. I do not recommend this practice to anyone seeking care. Setting up appointments was rather simple and the office was technology forward, clean, bright and new. The building was recently renovated and they have a large parking lot. However, it was obvious that behind their fancy facade lies the drive to pad their bottom line. My first check up here was pretty comprehensive with all the x-rays being taken and teeth properly scaled. This took approximately 45 minutes into the hour long appointment. The hygienist spent a good 10 minutes trying to explain for me why I should pay for the up charge for fluoride even though it already covered under my insurance plan. The hygienist and dentist spent the last 20 minutes of my appointment creating a sense of urgency telling me to prevent my teeth from cracking that I needed to buy from them a mouth guard, electric tooth brushes, teeth whitening, etc all of which I get for free from my dental sales rep neighbor. My second appointment consisted of a longer sales pitch than actual care. My second cleaning here with the same tech didn't even last all of 10 minutes, which is inadequate to receive a proper scaling done, she didn't even floss my teeth. I received another repeated lecture regarding why an up charge for the fluoride was highly recommended even though it was already covered by insurance. Followed by another 20 minutes berating me on why I did not want to proceed with making an mouth guard and signing up for their teeth whitening treatments. I've never had any issues with my teeth and I cannot imagine how this practice would try and extort me if I had actually had an issue with my teeth.
