I would like for everyone to know how absolutely wonderful Dr. Mohammed Ahmed is! Dr. Ahmed has been my dentist for several years now and I must say he is the best dentist I have ever been to! I moved a few years ago and now I travel over 100 miles total round-trip to have him do my cleanings and anything I need done on my teeth; however, I haven't needed anything major done to my teeth because of the great care he and his team give me each and every time I visit them, which is every six months for a cleaning and exam. During my last appointment, Geovanna was the dental hygienist and she cleaned my teeth with extra care as she did the last time I was there! She is very gentle and does a very good thorough job. I highly recommend Dr. Ahmed and his team for dental work you may need.... they do everything when it comes to taking great care of your teeth! read more

Very inexperienced, got a crown done here a while back and every time I look at it I regret ever going to this dentist, the mold looks ridiculously big and it almost looks like a tooth from a different patient's mold. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! read more

This Place is so unprofessional all the ladies are so rude they don't even do a good job at anything!!! My kids got braces here and their teeth look even worse their retainer is horrible half of the dumb a** bi*techs here don't even know what's going on or how to do their job. ALL the nurses are truly the sweetest and always happy. Very gentle during cleanings and x-raying. Only one very over worked dentist. The main reason for a 3 star rating. During my appointment he bounces from your room to the next and even rooms down the hallway. I was left in there waiting longer then i am actually having work done. They ALWAYS seem over booked. No dentist should have that many patients in a chair at once. Patient to Doctor ratio is way to high. I feel its impossible for the dentist to focus on this many cases.. * I have several appointments that i already have set up. That have been accepted by my insurance. I have already been through half my procedures. This review is after many visits over the last year. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Every time i have been now, i have had the exact experience! * The dentist is very quiet does not explain procedures. Would walk in start looking telling the nurse what he sees. Nurse records it. He would walk out for a minimum of 15 mins. Comes back, always puts on new gloves. Depending what the appointment is for, begins but just to walk out again. The only time he stayed in the room was during actual drilling. Then leave again! Sometimes both dentist and nurse will be gone! Thankfully they have a big tv on the wall. I have NEVER sat in a Dentist this many hours in all the 40 something years over several states i have lived. Also if you have kids make plans for them. I have spent just under seven hours at an appointment before. * Everyone i talk to about this asks why i keep going back?? I always ask them if they have ever dealt with insurance! Now they have been GREAT with fighting insurance an getting them to accept the treatment plans. When denied they have fixed wording and changed out materials to be in compliance with insurance. Which is much appreciated. I also know that alot of Dentist in atleast the westend seem to be booked months and months out. I would even be comfortable saying 6 months out. If you have even had dental pain you could agree that waiting in a room at the dentist for an extra 4 -6 hours is way better then having tooth pain. * I just know that if i was looking for a dentist and was starting from scratch i would keep going. I know after this last appointment here. I am going to find another one if they do not get another Dentist in there. If you can't take off an entire day of work off. Need to be anywhere at a certain time do not make it the same day you will NOT be out in time. Having a crown put in takes no less then 5 appointments. Which i had four done and they have all taken the exact time to be completed. The final shapes of them i do not like either. I haven't been too fond of the fillings either especially in the front teeth. They do not look right to me. They do not seem to match my teeth color and the shape isn't right. I can also feel space between my gum and the tooth. I brought it up but everytime i do bring up something i feel isnt right. He will look but always makes it out that its fine and when the next treatment is done it wont look ot feel like that. Guess we shall see! read more

Happy2Smile has the best staff. They are friendly, warm and inviting. Dr. Ahmed is wonderful. He is knowledgeable, friendly, professional and personable. Sometimes most doctors are cold, arrogant, no personality or horrible bedside manner; they make you feel like an invoice, co-pay or number. I have been going here for a couple of years now. I have noticed that the place seem to be going down. It's needing some upgrades and staff. I was at my appointment the other day and my service was awful. The tech never changed her gloves , and wanted to come and touch my mouth, while going around trying to find supplies that they seem to not have. I was there to get my teeth cleaned and the tech was in a hurry. She didn't take her time and wasn't very friendly. I don't know if they great their customers who may have medicaid different, but we don't know people's circumstances. We all are human and everyone should be treated accordingly because we never know, we can be in a not so good place. Life is already a struggle so why not aleast smile, just a smile can make somebody's day... we get only one shot at this life so why not make it count.. I want be going back to this dentist. One of the most unprofessional, unethical dentist, Dr. Ahmed backed by his rude front desk agents except Neha. We were a family seeking dental care from Dr. Ahmed from 2012 and after 10 years of services cuts the relationship sending a termination of dental care by providing a false accusation that we missed a scheduled appointment. This was not true at all. I spoke to the front desk and they agreed and confirmed that there was a mistake in their system in not sending reminders and also the phone systems were not working. So, I shared my frustration as my yearly 2 dental cleanings need to happen 6 months apart and due to the miss from the doctor's office, I lost my 100% fully covered dental cleanings for this year. They simply do not want to talk about it and care for it. We never received a reminder or phone call or emails on the scheduled appointment. Also, when requested for a dental filling appointment, they scheduled it after 5 months which was ridiculous as it put the teeth at the risk of cracking. This clearly shows how Dr. Ahmed is interested in making money by accepting more new patients (he is the only doctor in his practice) and not providing proper care for a patient who has been trusting and depending on Dr. Ahmed for the past 10 years. This is a shame on Dr. Ahmad and his staff. Never throw false accusations and blame on to others covering your own mistakes. Try to do the right thing and care for patients. Dr. Mohamed H. Ahmed and his staff at Happy 2 Smile in Glen Allen, VA (9840 - West Broad Street) are AMAZING! Every time I visit them for my 6 month checkup they give the BEST SERVICE ever! After so many years of trying to find a great dentist, I finally found Dr. Ahmed! My last visit was a few weeks ago, and I could not wait to write this review! Kris, did a fantastic job with my cleaning and as always, Dr. Ahmed did a checkup and was so gentle and very thorough. I'd also like to mention Amal, she was off during my last visit but she is also the BEST EVER! I love going here and visiting this AWESOME team...the are truly the BEST of THE BEST of the VERY BEST EVER! Dr. Mohamed's bedside manner is less than desirable. He never wanted me in the exam room with my 13 yr. old daughter and that always made me a bit uncomfortable. He would never come to the waiting room and give instructions or a course of action. In fact he hardly gave any to my daughter. I like dentist and doctors that give you the explanation behind what they want you to do. Dr. Mohamed treated us as though we didn't need to know the why, just do as he says. I did enjoy the convenience of the later and Saturday appointments. When we first started coming to the office 3 years ago we loved it here. We always saw Dr. Simon and he had a dental hygienist that we loved and they treated us well and explained everything and gave us options in our oral care. This office is so far from that now. It's very sad, but we've had to find another dentist/orthodontist. read more
