I have decades of experience fostering dogs and personally adopting many of my own, and over the years I've worked with a wide range of trainers. Without question, Steve is in a league entirely of his own. His talent, intuition, and depth of understanding when it comes to dogs is extraordinary. He doesn't just train dogs; he teaches humans how to truly understand them. What made the experience even more unforgettable was the joy he brought into the day. We laughed constantly. At one point my cheeks genuinely hurt from hours of smiling and laughter. And yet, amid all of that warmth and humor, we walked away with an incredibly clear, grounded, and practical understanding of his methods and a deep sense of confidence in our ability to apply them. Steve's approach is refreshingly doable: just five minutes of training per day, paired with his ongoing availability as a resource. That combination alone feels invaluable. We literally just completed our training day today, so I plan to update this review in a few months with more detail about long-term ease of execution and results with our dog, Griffin. But one thing I feel compelled to share now is this: throughout the entire day, even while Griffin was dramatically protesting (vocally, and with flair), Steve remained calm, steady, and completely unfazed. Griffin didn't love everything he was being asked to do, but he clearly adored Steve. He never cowered, never shut down, never showed fear. That level of trust speaks volumes. At one point, I asked Steve about scheduling an additional training day for one of our other dogs. His response was thoughtful, sensible, and deeply ethical: he told me it wouldn't be necessary. He explained that the principles I was learning with Griffin would absolutely apply to our other dogs as well, and that he'd be more than happy to answer questions along the way. That moment really matters to me because it so clearly reflects that Steve is driven by genuine passion and care for people and dogs, not by squeezing every possible dollar out of his clients. I also want to wholeheartedly acknowledge Tasha, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and compassionate throughout the scheduling process. We had to cancel our original training day due to a traumatic injury our other dog, Enzo, sustained: a spinal stroke. Tasha immediately offered to refund our deposit without hesitation. When I shared that I still very much wanted to work with Steve, she later went out of her way to find us an earlier date than originally offered after I asked to be notified of any cancellations. That level of care and humanity meant so much during a really difficult time. I am profoundly grateful for Steve and his entire team. This was one of the most positive, affirming, and empowering experiences I've ever had as a dog guardian. If you're looking for the best, congratulations. You have found it with One Day Dog Training!

We had tried various tactics, treats to rid Finn of his "bad habits" We were referred to One Day Dog Training through some close friends who had worked with Steve to train their 2 dogs. From the start.. Finn really took to Steve. Steve is personable, knowledgeable, and patient. His love for dogs is felt. He put our minds at ease from the start. Through the training, Steve took time to teach us how to better understand dog behavior and how we can better communicate what we want our dog to do...It was very enlightening. It was an education for us and Finn! At the end of our 3 hour session, we were really amazed to see a transformed young dog. We are soooo proud of Finn. The 3 of us have learned so much! Thank You, Steve!

She was quiet and a bit confused in those early days, and we honestly didn't know what "normal" even looked like. We started working with Jared literally the day after we brought her home, and that made all the difference. What stood out right away is that he doesn't just train the dog, he helps you understand your dog's psychology. That shift was huge for us. Instead of guessing or reacting, we started to feel like we actually knew what she needed and how to respond. He guided us through the basics like potty training and getting her to sleep through the night, and once those clicked, life got dramatically easier. More importantly, he gave us a framework we can keep using as new challenges come up. Our puppy still has some separation anxiety and can be a bit needy, but now it feels manageable. We're making steady, incremental progress and feel confident we have the tools to keep going. Jared has also been great with our whole family. He builds trust quickly, explains things clearly, and makes everyone feel comfortable and capable. You never feel judged or overwhelmed. If you're a first-time dog owner, especially with a young puppy, I'd strongly recommend working with him early. It sets the right foundation and saves you a lot of stress down the line.

One thing that stood out to me is how much emphasis he puts on teaching *us* how to communicate with our dogs effectively, which makes the results stick long-term. Before his help, having guests over was nearly impossible--our dogs would get overwhelmed and reactive. Now, we're able to host gatherings without worry, and the difference in their behavior is night and day. It's been such a relief to see them more relaxed and balanced. The progress we've made feels huge, and it's all thanks to Jared's thoughtful and practical training style. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for real, lasting change.

All I can say is wow. After years of struggling with leash reactivity, bringing Ziggy here has been life-changing. He's truly a different dog. He now walks in a beautiful heel through crowded areas, stays calm around other dogs, and can even ignore dogs that run up behind him, something I never thought would be possible. The biggest gift has been seeing him able to simply coexist without feeling stressed, anxious, or frustrated. It's been such a breath of fresh air for both of us. I can't thank Jen and her team enough for everything they've done. Their knowledge, dedication, and care have completely transformed Ziggy's confidence and our daily life together. The shop itself also feels new, clean, and refreshing, which makes a big difference when you are leaving your dog in someone else's care. Overall, very smooth experience, and I would definitely bring Happee back.

Expensive and repetitive - not worth the price. This review…read moreis ONLY for puppy agility, as I have no experience with any other of their training classes. I purchased the 12 class puppy agility package for $600 ($50 per class) because it was the most affordable option. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the cost. Each class consisted of 3-4 puppies. Since the dogs worked one at a time, the actual active training time per puppy was roughly 8-10 minutes out of the full 50-minute session. That works out to about $5 per minute of real practice, which feels very expensive for what you receive. The bigger issue was the lack of progression. Every single class started from the absolute beginning, repeating the same basic exercises with no advancement or individual challenges. My puppy picked things up very quickly and because of all the down time, quickly became bored. It felt like Groundhog Day... the same class on repeat for 12 weeks. There was no sense of building skills, increasing difficulty, or tailoring the lesson to the dogs' abilities. The trainers were friendly and clearly like dogs, which was the one positive part. However, it never seemed to register that customers were paying a premium price for very little actual training time or educational value. I f you're looking for real skill development and good value, I would look elsewhere, or else don't use your entire lesson package on puppy agility in hopes that it advances at some point. This program might be okay for absolute beginners who need many repetitions of the basics, but for anyone whose puppy catches on quickly, it's disappointing and overpriced.

I am a visual learner so Irini was able to show me what I needed to do, let me try, and gave me feedback. This was super helpful in the whole training process. She not only explained how to do it but also why. During the entire training process, Irini was very informative and she's very knowledgeable in working breeds. She answered all my questions and concerns. She was able to help me understand more about Kona's behaviors and to set her up for success. So far we only did 3 sessions over a course of 2 weeks with Irini and we immediately saw great results with Kona. I cannot be any more grateful for Irini's help. She is very patient, knowledgeable and accommodating. We will be continuing to do more sessions with Irini!

I love that we don't have to schedule for daycare as I live a busy not set schedule work life so I usually don't plan daycare days in advance like others can. In addition Johnny is always so welcoming and they feed my dog his breakfast/lunch and tell me that he eats it too. I also love that they spray the floors when dogs go potty (most places just mop which just spreads the potty around). Thank you Woofs and Wiggles for being such a safe, fun , and reliable place for my pup!!
