Expensive and repetitive - not worth the price. This review is ONLY for puppy agility, as I have no experience with any other of their training classes. I purchased the 12 class puppy agility package for $600 ($50 per class) because it was the most affordable option. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the cost. Each class consisted of 3-4 puppies. Since the dogs worked one at a time, the actual active training time per puppy was roughly 8-10 minutes out of the full 50-minute session. That works out to about $5 per minute of real practice, which feels very expensive for what you receive. The bigger issue was the lack of progression. Every single class started from the absolute beginning, repeating the same basic exercises with no advancement or individual challenges. My puppy picked things up very quickly and because of all the down time, quickly became bored. It felt like Groundhog Day... the same class on repeat for 12 weeks. There was no sense of building skills, increasing difficulty, or tailoring the lesson to the dogs' abilities. The trainers were friendly and clearly like dogs, which was the one positive part. However, it never seemed to register that customers were paying a premium price for very little actual training time or educational value. I f you're looking for real skill development and good value, I would look elsewhere, or else don't use your entire lesson package on puppy agility in hopes that it advances at some point.This program might be okay for absolute beginners who need many repetitions of the basics, but for anyone whose puppy catches on quickly, it's disappointing and overpriced. read more

When I contacted them about this problem, they said that they had lots of complaints and that the responsibility laid with "corporate." I got to observe classes during my two visits to their store. Zoom room is great! My puppy is very shy and starting at 6 months, became a bit reactive. Nervous around other dogs, and basically, just couldn't speak "dog" very well. She couldn't tell when other dogs were being friendly. The playgroups have been great for that. I like that it's indoors, there are instructors around to be watchful and all other dogs in the group have been checked for vaccinations. The obedience classes are very useful. I found the instructor quality to be very good, and all the teachers are friendly. Luna still has not mastered many commands, but has become a more in-tune with me and is trying hard to be self-controlled, which is actually the root of everything. I like how the space is pretty clean and making appointments is pretty easy online. I wish I had known about zoom room earlier, I think with a shy pup starting earlier would have been better. read more

First, you're required to attend a 30-minute orientation before signing your dog up for anything -- half of which is spent listening to staff complain about how terrible their own website and booking system is. Their advice? Call or show up in person because the online system is unreliable at best. Despite that red flag, I signed up online for a puppy playgroup. While there was some brief socialization (about 15-20 minutes), the rest of the hour was filled with two disinterested "trainers" -- who seemed to be competing for who was more hungover -- giving painfully basic puppy advice that any first-time dog owner would already know. Still, my dog enjoyed the little bit of playtime, so I decided to give it one more shot. I personally went to the front desk after class, paid $65, and asked to be signed up for the following Saturday. I was charged -- but apparently never registered. When I showed up for the class a week later, the young and clearly undertrained staff told me I wasn't in the system and there was "nothing they could do." No refund, no spot for my dog, no solution. Just a smug demand for proof I'd been signed up -- despite me showing a receipt timestamped directly after my last visit. 1 hour spent in the car to/from with a puppy in tow led to me asking for a manager to drop me a line. When they finally called, their response? "Yeah, our system sucks." If this were my franchise, I'd be embarrassed. Terrible systems, zero accountability, and absolutely no understanding of customer service. You're better off anywhere else. This review is strictly for the birthday party we had there for our pup's 1st birthday. We reserved the gym for two hours on a Saturday night. Zoom Room closes the gym two hours early on the day of reserved parties so that you have the gym all to yourself. From the start, Stevie was super responsive and helpful with helping us book the gym and was there along with another employee to help with hosting the party. The price for two hours is $300 which includes up to 10 pups, bottled water, sparkling water and coffee, full use of the gym , an agility course for the pups and doggy donuts. I think the price has increased since we booked, so checked their website for the most current pricing. We were able to bring in food and additional drinks for the humans. Everyone had a great time! The trainers were originally very experienced and help - Courtney. Now, the trainers are very new and lack experience. As a dog owner of 2 puppies, I thought I had a great place to train my dogs. But at the last training session, the new trainer just put us thru the motions of obedience. He tried to explain the reasoning but it fell short due to lack of experience. I have asked for my money back since their trainers lack experience and knowledge. I should have joined my friends who requested for their money back when Courtney left! I was trying to give the business a chance but it has turned out to be at my lost. Now, they are refusing to refund my money of the remainder of the package. If you are brand new to dog training, then maybe this place will work for you. I would NOT RECOMMEND it. Find someone else who can really help train you to train your dog. read more

The customer service was disappointing to say the least, as my family was so excited to treat our dogs to some playtime. The facility itself is fine / clean and they have a wide range of toys and treats for sale. However, when we first got there, the staff did not explain what was on and off limits. Nothing was set up and we had to ask multiple times what we can or cannot use. Most of the obstacle courses were not available, and they did not seem very invested in helping us set up for our session -- almost annoyed. We still purchased a toy to help support them because we love dogs, but we were disappointed by the unenthusiastic behavior we received from the staff. Not easy to get into a class - not for reactive puppies. It seems puppy class isn't for puppies that have not been socialized (I thought these classes teach socialization?) . I mean most of these puppies are straight out of vaccine quarantine. So not much socialization if any. After feeling shamed in puppy class -they even put up a curtain to stop her from seeing the other dogs. No suggestions were made until I asked - and the answer was one on one. So I tried to get a one on one session for my 6mo old gsd- the trainer was booked out for two months or the next day (couldn't make bc of my work schedule). I also talked to another zoom room patron who had the same observation. However, if your puppy is well behaved from the get go then I the classes are informative and fast paced. Most available classes are during work hours (makes sense)- so if you're remote or wfh - you're good. But getting into a later class or weekends is very difficult. read more

I have been coming to Zoom Room for almost two months now with my 6 mo. old Aussie and we LOVE it! We are both learning so much and having fun, but more importantly it's strengthening our bond. While you do review some commands frequently and due to their class offerings/schedules sometimes hear repeat information, I've really appreciated the repetition and found it incredibly helpful in the training process. There is so much to learn when training a dog and easy to forget that doing something once doesn't make you an expert! Additionally, their emphasis on behavioral development has been a true lifesaver for our typical smart, willful and energetic Aussie! We've had great experiences with so many of the trainers but Courtney is a definite fav. She never lets you feel bad, alone or incapable when you're struggling with a new command or dealing with behavioral issues. We went there for training sessions and playgroups. This specific review is for the playgroup. My dog is a vocal dog - when he plays, he makes noises (not every time). But when other dogs don't chase him, he barks at them. I was bringing him to the playgroup to learn how to play with other puppies :) Well, he did not. I checked out Zoom Room over a year ago. The set up and classes looked interesting, especially Agility. They also have a variety of interesting treats and toys available. We did their Doom Room Halloween event last October. That was really fun. In the last few weeks, we've been attending Agility 1 with Caleb. The classes are organized and well structured. He gives clear direction and outlines what each pup needs to work on to graduate. Additionally, he tells you (as the owner) what you need to do while instructing your dog (such as standing on the correct side when doing a certain activity). :D. "Train the owner, train the dog" right? He's also given some good suggestions on the best dog toys which I found informative and helpful. His dog Nebula is very sweet and playful. Suggestion: If you're serious about getting your pup to the next level / graduating, I think it's helpful to do practice on your own at home or at the local agility park in addition to class. We didn't learn anything, only that we had to buy the package to continue our training. Okay... we decided to continue despite having an underwhelming first impression.
