Worst possible care giving. For almost a year I have had an issue with billing. I made a payment of $150, bill came back to me showing that I paid $39.75. They even had the correct check number listed in the bill. What happened to the rest of my payment??? I have not gotten answer 10 months later. I am currently trying to get this done, but, when I call I go directly into a hold and eventually they hang up. I was told by someone in the office both bills have been zeroed out and I owe nothing. I am still wondering where the 2nd bill came from. read more

Our experience working with Anh L\. Ngo, MD, on a project at 60 Exeter St was disappointing and frustrating\. The following reflects our understanding of the events and our personal experience\. We received the first payment without issue\. Under our understanding of the agreement, the remaining 33% was to be paid after the rough inspection was completed and passed\. We completed the work and passed the rough inspection\. The remaining payment was not made, and the contract was later terminated\. As a result, we were left with unpaid time, labor, materials, and other project\-related expenses Approximately a year and a half later, we were contacted regarding a licensing matter\. We provided our New Hampshire license and the requested documentation\. Our license had been issued in 2024, approximately one year before we began the project in 2025\. After reviewing the information, an investigative paralegal informed us that no further discussion with us was needed. I was told to go COLD TURKEY off methadone & fentanyl as a medically unstable patient & I went into liver failure! I called from the hospital to say I was upset & cancel a procedure because I was hospitalized. I was told call as soon as I got out... Dr Ngo mansplained to me the other dr didn't tell me to go cold turkey HE ABSOLUTELY DID! The other dr was willing to do gel injections in my knee without records & without examining my knee! Dr Ngo said oh I can see how much your low back hurts rattled off a bunch of terns with zero explanation & sent me to the desk to schedule??? Mvd bilateral radio frequency ablation on both sides of my lower back. If he asked I would have said my thoracic spine is worse & I have imaging on my phone! There was no interest in my records or actually examining me this seems beyond shady it seems dangerous. Thank god I detoxed i might have fallen for their "quick fix plan" even though there are RED LIGHT ALARMS EVERYWHERE I LOOK AT THIS CLINIC! Save yourself or keep your eyes open.... the every other week drug test coul be done on procedure days but they can bill ins for an extra appt if you go EVERY DAMN WEEK! Proper Communication is absolutely non-existent in this place! I have way too many examples to list here. You'd get better treatment at an Express Care! Oh, and their billing dept. sucks. I reluctantly sent them a check, which they said they received. It's been 2 weeks since confirmed, yet it hasn't been deducted from my account. If this goes to collections, and they ruin my excellent credit rating, I will sue!! Oh, and Sharon L's statement about the great reviews being from out West is absolutely SPOT ON! Fake or friends. I am a former patient of Dr. Manuel Sanchez. We still keep in touch by phone. It's not the same. Dr Ngo is a real piece of work!! He has basically ruined my back by putting in a spinal cord stimulator with Dr. Gareth Davies a neurosurgeon Portsmouth. I have a very complicated back. I've had a lot of back surgery and they talked me into using Dr. Gareth Davies for my spinal cord stimulator. They told me I could no longer be a patient if I went to Boston for surgery, which is what I wanted to do . Doctor Ngo was extremely condescending and forcing me basically to have spinal cord stimulator done locally cause I think it gets a kick back from Dr. Davies or Boston Scientific or both perhaps?? Anyway, I would never go back to him. I would never go to Portsmouth hospital again. I would never go to Exeter Hospital. I go to Boston every week for an appointment or 2 if you're looking for professional care and someone that is really going to work on your back without talking you into Drilling into your back run away from him!! I have reported him to the medical board. He is just a drill mill Doctor. Dr. Davies when he did my SCS system from Boston Scientific with Dr Ngo put my stimulator in the wrong place in my spine!! They both do not believe in pain medication after a major surgery was a six hour laminectomy and inserting a SCS system. He asked me the next day if I was ready to go home would not let me go to rehab . I was sent home with a few hydrocodone 5 325 this was a major back surgery. I was only allowed to stay in the hospital one night. The nurses were so terrible that then when they put ice on my spin area, they didn't close the ice properly and leaked all over my incision and then I wasn't allowed to have any more ice because they couldn't figure out how to do it.!! Do not go local people!! Drive to Boston or Portland, Maine anywhere but Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I think Dr. Ngo and the neurosurgeon, Dr. Davies & Mikaela Harding from Boston Scientific are all in cahoots together. It's so sad to me. I brought them dinners and wine when I was feeling better tried to be such a good patient. I was so dismissed and so gaslighted by all three of them. I will never have my life back now. Horrible!!! Does not listen or let you explain issues. Rushed and uncaring. Cut me off at every sentence and question I tried to answer. Tried to sell me ketamine infusions before even hearing my issues. His staff scanned in my records and MRI discs and he stated he had none of my records as I'm sitting there holding them in my hand. Office has ridiculous cancellation policy. Do not go here the doctor cares only about money and not your symptoms. His office boasts a grand piano, paid for by your pain and suffering! read more

I have a load of intolerable pain. I despise the fact that you CAN NOT get any pain relief that works. Steroids work but for only a few months for me. I was told 6 months. Absolutely no way. It was incredible to no longer have pain in the leg that needs surgery. I hope to accomplish this soon. This facility did NOT give me steroid treatments in my leg. They did in my back. I definitely would like these to work longer. I believe that steroids aren't the best meds & the Dr's will not give another shot until 4-6 months pass. Athroscopy is my next procedure. I look forward to healing pain opposed to torn meniscus pain!! read more

This place is HORRIFIC!!!!!!!! This place gave me nothing but more pain and suffering due to unethical practices. I went there because they had great reviews however, they were based on Dr.Sanchez who ive heard was an amazing doctor. Sadly he is no longer there. I was dismissed several times. endless miscommunications and Dr.Robertson is a real piece of work!!!!! Dr.Ngo blew through my first appointment leaving me with so many un answered questions I had to call and make another appointment to go over the treatment plan. He was all about Ketamine, which wasnt covered by insurance,spinal cord stim( Boston Scientific) he is affiliated!! Im sure he is getting kick backs on that!! So many issues here. I advise anyone who goes here to keep track of all your records and insurance claims. These guys are pretty disturbing as a whole!!!! From the front desk CLUELESS right to MAT,and Beyond. Dr.Robertson does not know what the heck she is doing she is rude and dismissive as well as a LIAR. I stand on EVERYTHING in this review!!!! There was 1 nurse there that knew what was going on and i wish i could remember her name she was great and totally knew why I would get frustrated with my appointments. Dr.Ngo was supposed to put me in a back brace I thought he had to order it.......months go by and i ask about it and he acted like he didn t know what i was talking about. Then as I am checking out some girl comes out with a back brace pulled from a box that was under the desk and then brings me in a room to fit me..........WOW it was so painful to watch......... She absolutely had zero clue!!! 30-45 minutes later I said dont worry about it I will figure it out. I was told I would meet with a pain psycologist as most of us with chronic severe pain we deal with depression and other issues so I was pretty excited about that. Unfortunately that never happened until Dr.Ngo knew i was fed up and DONE!!! That was when the spinal cord stimmy was brought up again. I had severe stenosis. A scs was NOT going to fix that problem and my pain was ignored!!!! This place is just a disaster. Then...........I get my records. These guys are FRAUDERS!!!!!! If you are on a pain management regimen the doctor should be meeting with you face to face and doing UA's and evaluate your physical appearence. I never saw Dr. Robertson once!!!!!! She has never met me to this day!!!!!! I have been to other Pain management places and never experienced such unprofessional behavior, with there gaslighting,lack of effective medical care, detached from there oath of ethical treatment. Empathy is not present anywhere in this practice. I ended up needing back fusion as I went to see a different doctor who did my 1st surgery, as all my efforts to talk about my symptoms fell on deaf ears. I had nerve impingement and was unable to walk without severe pain and also had urinary incontince. Also numbness pins and needles in both legs down to my feet. They are all quite arrogant and really should just find something else to do. This is the kind of place that makes you want to blow your brains out!!!! But dont ever tell them that....... They hate the truth!!!!!! Im going to end this here . If you look at the 16-17 reviews that are not shown please look at them!!!! They are fake!!!! They didn't look into any of my medical records after a severe car accident. They don't accept insurance or referrals. I was paying $300 an appt to be told random diagnosis on zoom and receive no pain management. They promised to get records and x-rays but never did. Do not recommend. Not worth time or money. Doctor didn't seem informed on me as a patient or cared. They would call after for there payment though. Stuck around for a year to get help because good reviews I read. They offered injections for made up diagnosis instead of just requesting what I had from my care team. read more

I am writing this review as a medical professional who sought the services of Dr Ngo and staff for pain management . I have been to other providers who really just used cookbook protocols that have not worked for me. My pain levels have been over the top and Dr Ngo took the time to review my case and with a fresh set of eyes has really come up with some viable alternatives for me to get my life back. He made it possible for me to be treated immediately because he knew how much pain I was in. He is smart, compassionate, highly skilled and creative. Very down to earth and genuine. If I could give negative ratings I would! This place is a hell hole. I have written to the Board of Medicine with my full concerns. I hope they take them seriously. Their front desk staff, including their "front desk manager" is a joke. They're so rude and disrespectful. Every time I would call, I could never speak with a doctor. I would have to explain my medical concerns (which to me are PRIVATE between me and my Doctor) to their front desk admins. They play the go between of the doctor and patients. It feels like an old tanning salon when you walk in. Manager wears a backward hat and is so condescending. Their medical staff are not educated in MAT or pain medicine treatment. They 100% see you as a dollar sign. Dr Ngo had me on his surgical table, while giving me an injection in my back, was trying to sell me on other services. They don't explain anything, including any prescriptions they call in for you. I am on blood pressure meds that had serious interactions with a med they prescribed. They charge 300 per office visit! You get blank stares when you're there speaking to them. And you most certainly will feel like you're a burden to them. Where as Interventional Spine Medicine charges much less and has a large medical staff, with nurses to answer calls when needed and professional front desk staff who are kind. Pain Specialty does not care about their patients at all. It's a burn and churn for money place. Turn and run from this place! There are many more professionals in NH that can help you! I hope the State shuts them down or they invest in Doctors who have backgrounds in Pain Management and Anesthesiology with great records and caring demeanors. read more

I think Pain Specialty Group is fine clinically. Although he seems quite harried, Dr. Ngo seems to know his stuff. Also attending nurses or medical assistants are good. The office staff is arrogant, condescending, patronizing and thoughtless. Their phone system is worse than any I have experienced. They don't return calls after you have left messages. When I needed my records forwarded to another provided, I ended up having to threaten them with a complaint to NH Health and Human Services. I would never recommend this organization. read more
