I saw an influencer post about the Squishmellow X Ulta Collab for the perfume for Halloween, and I needed it in my soul, and so I went to this Ulta and the staff was so friendly and nice and they helped me get all the stuff I needed. Make sure you are paying really close attention when checking out. Was just at the Newington store today and the associate rang up a $95 product twice. Thankfully i was paying attention and called it out. The response was 'whoops' - that's it. yeah, your only job is to check out customers, no distractions, yet 'whoops'. Very rude staff, they made a big scene as I had my son in a shopping cart, that I found right outside their store. The associate humiliated me as she loudly told me I had to leave and it was against their policy to have carts in their store. I promptly left, will spend my money at Sephora from now on. If that is your policy fine, but maybe don't make a scene and humiliate a customer in your store. Moms need make up too. read more

Several weeks ago I booked an appointment for makeup to attend a formal wedding on 9/22/24. I confirmed the appointment as requested on 9/19/24 via text. I received an appointment reminder on 9/21/24. This morning, the day of the wedding, I received a text at 9:19 AM stating my appointment was canceled. I live in Colorado. I recently made me first trip into this location in Newington, NH. This store is located in the Crossings, a large shopping area, so plenty of parking. The outside look of the store was clean, tidy and overall appealing. Once inside, I wasn't greeted. Not off putting, but I'm just accustom to that tiny bit of customer appreciation. The inside of the store wasn't bad. Fairly easy to navigate and find what I was looking for. They carry a wide variety of brands which I really like. Prices are equal to other large name beauty stores. You can find both high end brands, medium range and even low end. Great if you are looking for a certain price point. I could spend hours in Ulta just checking out all the goodies that they carry! This makeup lovers dream! I found what I needed, and proceeded to head to the register. A super friendly lady was working, and I was happy to see at least 1 employee had a great personality. I had a birthday gift to redeem as a rewards member, it was suppose to be a bronzer. However this store was out of that month's birthday gift, so I ended up getting a lipstick instead. Not a big issue, but I was kinda bummed since I was wanting to try that bronzer! Anyways, it is a free birthday gift, so beggars can't be choosers. Cashed out and left. Overall, I would visit this location again. I am a Ulta fan and this store is nice. The employees at this location are extremely lovely! I have had trouble finding certain items, and the ladies here are always willing to help me find them in store, or order them online. One time I bought the wrong perfume, and the return and exchange process was extremely easy and stress-free. I always feel very welcome and appreciated here, which is not the same in all Ultas. Yes they have guys products inside too. Good selection of men's designer fragrances. The men's shampoo and body care products are really top quality. The grooming shavers and brushes are reasonably priced. The women's selection is about 75% of the store . However as a man we need less so don't let the ratio of product deter you from getting your supplies there. read more

This Ulta has awful customer service. I go to this ulta because it's the closest one near me. Every time I go the employees are very catty and unprofessional. They are never prepared. They never have nice way to answer anything it's always pretty rude and short. I am sick of being treated like a second-class citizen at this Ulta every time I go. read more

I am giving this one star review only because one associate was sweet. I am a long standing customer in this location, part of their rewards program so management should have been able to see, however when I came in with my sales slip to say that I never received a product in my bag, I was told that was NOt the case in front of a line of customers. So embarrassing! Supposedly the manager checked the video recording from that date several days ago and determined the item was in the bag. Really? So she would rather announce this information to the store and humiliate me, with an accusatory look on her face, rather than just give me the $23 item. I have NEVER So much as returned an item in the 10 years I have been shopping there. This information was at their disposal but the manager chose to "look through video footage" rather than my account history!! Shame on Ulta. They just lost their best customer. UPDATE* Was emailed after Ulta replied to this, and they stopped replying when I asked when a button for the door would be added and if I could be notified. Don't support a place that doesn't have accessibility or doesn't follow up with customers who have fallen at their store. I recently broke my foot and have to use crutches. I found out that not only does this location lack handicap accessibility, but the doors are HEAVY. I tried to open the doors myself because there was literally no one at the front of the store, got my hand caught in the door as it knocked me over, and fell on my bad foot while my hand was still it the door. One employee finally saw me, literally just freed my hand by opening the door and left me there without asking if I needed ice or to talk to a manager. I called afterward and the manager did everything she needed to do as well as the woman she forwarded me to. I was informed that their "accident team" or something like that would contact me and she basically just wanted to know if I got hurt and acted completely uninterested in the fact that these doors are dangerous even if I wasn't on crutches. I'm lucky I wasn't alone, because I literally would have just been there until that employee or a customer came out. But the reality is that some people have to go alone places when they're injured or permanently disabled. It's incredibly ableist to lack the proper accessibility when you have handicapped spots outside of your business. They told me that they only have so much money for special doors and it takes a couple months, but if I had seriously hurt myself on top of being humiliated and left in pain while my hand was inside a heavy door, you bet they would have had the money for a settlement. Will not go to ulta until this is fixed and I buy A LOT of beauty products, so their loss. read more

They don't seem to know what they're talking about when it comes to some of their product lines and as someone who works with one of the product lines that they carry on a professional level I know when they're passing out bad information. On several occasions I've had people tell me things about this line that I know are absolutely false or down right ridiculous. It really makes me wonder what other information is wrong that they are giving out about their other lines. First the positive - great range of products and a good number of sample sizes of higher end products for purchase which I find very helpful. Every time I go in I am asked if I need assistance. Now, the negative. Ive had trouble finding products that work for me, match my skin, etc and I don't feel like the employees I've worked with have been very helpful. Last time the girl just kind of ran me around the store aimlessly and still didn't really find anything that worked. Also, I recently tried to return some unused, unopened makeup without a receipt because it was a gift. I just wanted store credit to exchange but was told they couldn't without a receipt or record of it on my rewards card. This isn't particular to this store but just the Ulta chain I guess but it seems so bizarre to me that a makeup place wouldn't let you do an exchange or store credit especially since most of their competitors take back anything, used or not, receipt or not and even if it's just because you don't like it. Anyway, after my most recent visits I will be spending more at Sephora and less at Ulta. read more

Getting your eyebrows waxed is no joke, after having multiple screw mine up I came to Brow Bar @ Ulta hearing they were great. Elissa, is AMAZING !! Let me first say I love Ulta Beauty and have shopped in other stores and had great service. That is not the case here. Big group of women who work there standing at the front right by the doors when you walked in. I think for some of their shift was over and they were chatting, that's fine. I go and find what I need and head over to the Benefit section. Two women who work there are busy putting on makeup and talking about what products they use for "shine" to even look up and ask me or the other woman in the section if we wanted some help or if we had any questions. I them get in line and the big group has moved to the register area where one employee is checking out two others. After she is done she closes up and walks with them back to front of the store to talk. Never looks up at the line (of 4-5 people) and doesn't help out. As an after thought she comes back and hits a button that brings another person up to ring. Poorly run, poor customer service, staff standing around talking to each other. Never again. read more

This review is for the SALON, I don't really shop there for makeup etc so I can't speak to that. However I needed a trim and made an appointment here. I got Brittany as my hair stylist. 1. I think she said about three words to me, and I didn't feel comfortable making conversation. The only times she talked to me were when she was telling me about/pushing products. I'm assuming they're a Redkin salon because everything she used on me was Redkin, and she sure let me know it, as well as asked me each time if I wanted to purchase the item. 2. The cut was fine, like I said, all I needed was a trim, so hard to mess up I guess. The BLOW DRY, however, was a disaster. If I am trusting someone to cut my hair professionally, I would LIKE to think they are able to complete a satisfactory blow dry. However it took forever, probably longer than it takes me to do it at home, plus she was using Redkin blow dry product that she told me reduces drying time significantly. It didnt. She also told me that it would result in such smooth hair that she wouldn't need to use a flat iron to fix the frizzies, etc. Another falsehood. I sure wish she had used a flat iron. The result was poofy, frizzy hair which I put in a ponytail immediately. She had put so much product in it that it felt dirty right away. I couldnt wait to go home and wash it. 3. As a result of the awful blow dry, my hair seemed about two inches shorter than it had been when I went in. Seeing as she told me she would take 1/4'' off my ends, I was significantly freaked out in my mind. I didn't say anything because I figured it was too late and the only thing she could do was go shorter if it came to fixing anything. As someone trying to grow my hair out, any extra length is extremely valuable. Once I went home and washed and blow dried my hair myself, I could see that she didn't cut that much off, so I guess it was the result of poofy blow dry. 4. They don't have a receptionist so she paused to answer the phone or schedule customers a couple times during my session. Which isn't a huge deal, but when you get a lackluster result, it adds insult to injury. Bottom line: I won't be returning. I probably would have gotten a better blow out and customer service at Cost Cutters, for the same quality trim. Save your money. read more

Worst customer service EVER. They state that walk-ins are welcome at their salon. They are open until 6:00 on Sunday. Arrived at 4:00 with my daughter. One person waiting. Lone stylist plucked her own eyebrows, then swept floor. Then asked waiting person, "Oh, did you want something?" She did. A trim on a mane of curly hair. Then stylist looked at me. "I'm not sure if I can take you today." I was there with my 10yo daighter who needed a trim on straight hair. Then she agreed we should come back in half an hour. We shopped next door, saw the mane lady walk by done after 30 min, and went back to find the stylist walking out the front door for the day at 4:40 (store and salon open until 6:00.) "Oh, I didn't get a lunch so I already punched out for the day." Manager: "Yeah, she had to punch out before 5:00." Me: "Why do you have published walk-in hours until 6:00?" Manager: "Oh, that's only if someone is here." Gah! No apology. No offer of appointment another day. No free sample of lip gloss for my very disappointed daughter. We'll never be back! I'm a long time user of dermalogica products, and was so happy when I found a place fairly close that carried them. Unfortunately five different times on Saturday (the day I can shop) they are out of 2 popular products that I use. This is unacceptable more than two times never mind Five times!! When I complained nicely 3of the 5 times I was told the same thing every time "they get products on Mondays and by Saturday the are out"!? Really ! I also work in retail and my company goes to great lengths to please customers. When we run out of something early,we simply make small adjustments and ORDER more! I feel the store is too busy to help all the customers who have questions. I will not be returning to ulta and I don't think dermalogica would appreciate how careless the company is with their customers . read more

Just visited the salon for the first time and Kalie was my stylist, she gave me the best hair cut and style I have ever had!
